I'm in VA and I've been having a great time.  I was busting to get "
Supermodel Showdown" stuff
around for next week in Boston.  The ON LOCATION DVD will go up for sale next week and so
that is exciting.
www.supermodelshowdown.com as well as posters, shirts, hats, etc...  It is the 1st
thing I've directed and soon we will start work on editing the 13 TV shows.  Speaking of
editing... I'm going to start putting together the footage from the historic Ranney Building shoot
and I'm looking forward to that as well.

Here in VA we got together with a few of my co-stars and we went out to a hooka bar for tea, a
hooka and dominos.  I won two of the three games...ha!  Had a great get together last night with
food and some Captain Morgans.  Talking shop with my amigos on "
The 8th PLAGUE" and
they started shooting the pick-ups this morning.
Terry Jernigan and his new bride Ava came in
which was the main reason for the shindig last night.  I shoot tomorrow and so I'm just chilling
today.  I think we are all going to a wine festival.  I love my red wine that's for sure.

Still writing and reading on few scripts.  I had a couple of offers but the timing and/or the pay
wasn't where I wanted it.  We are putting things in place for the westerns this fall and everything
is looking good on that front.  The project that
Dean Teaster (West) has been developing in N.C.
might get off the ground as well.  More on that later as it develops.

So other then a great release of "
MIRACLE at SAGE CREEK" WATCH the DVD Extras:)
Promoting with "
AN ORDINARY KILLER", "JUDGES", "The NEST" that all saw recent
releases I'm finishing up deals with "
The 8th PLAGUE" "GPS" and "SMSD: Costa Rica".

I'll have some cool photos to post soon.  I'm including the one photo from Costa Rica that
G.W. Burns took as a camera test.  Maybe it is time for a new photo on the front of the page
unless everyone still likes looking at Darrell "
The Wrecking Ball".  I'm looking forward to seeing
everyone in Boston and doing the whole red carpet deal there.  Fun stuff!  I want some Boston
sea food!

Well gotta get ready to get out of here.  I'm going to go eat lunch and sip some red vino.

I'm having a quiet morning drinking some iced coffee and making sure I don't get in trouble
with Pepper over a lack of an update.  The internet is done because of a rain storm so I will have
to send it along later.  I got to catch up with my buddy
Brian about soccer and Curtis about
some movie updates. They both wanted to see a few clips from the "
Supermodel Showdown on
location DVD
" and from their response I think we have a hit. It is truly beautiful and it gives a
wonderful preview into the complex TV show that I believe will really draw people in.

I started to worry myself a touch yesterday about the Boston premiere because of the size of the
event. Roll Royces, Bentleys, Limos, 10x10 posters of the cast, 60 foot screen, 30+ media outlets,
music and other acting and sports stars.  I can take all that because hey it is just a big party. I
think about it being my first directorial project but I think the quality is all there so that is not
the worry. Anyone who truly knows me knows that my sense of fashion is my own.  Comfort
fashion!  I wear what I like to wear but I can't go to certain parties wearing my favorite work
shirt and chopped off army pants.  Or can I?  Unique situation but then I'm also representing
BCEG so part of me feels I should make a nice presentation.

Most of the attention will be on the girls I'm guessing and they are beach party and a boat cruise
on day 2… so maybe nice casual is the way to go.  I could use some beach pants but to be
honest I don't know if they make those or if all that died with "Miami Vice." They are making a
re-make of that film and so we will just have to see.  Hair trim?  Maybe…  I fly out of Detroit
tomorrow morning and so I'll get into Boston around noon.  I have to finish my re-packing
today and then I will go stay close to the Detroit airport with
Dean and Tammy Teaster.

Dean and I have been working steadily upon the "Ghost Town" movie and it is getting close to
launching.  The documentary about
Maggie Valley and the early days of the western theme park
is slowly taking shape as well.  Some of the footage will be used as extras on the movie DVD.
More on this as things shape up.

With Talmarc Productions we might produce two New Mexico westerns back to back. "
WILD
MICHIGAN
" and "Meadowlark Calling" would be the two films and the pieces are shaping up.
Tony Hornus has been getting paperwork around for a second bank out of state and we are all
trying to wrap up the deal.

I got an offer for a few days on a script that looks good.  It plays off a few really good known
actors and would be a blast. It is playing a
helicopter pilot named Sam and is part of the exciting
wrap up of the story.  I will see if we get solid on that film.

Well go to the
www.supermodelshowdown.com website and buy your copy of the ON
LOCATION DVD
.  The first 1,000 units were printed for the event and they also have hats,
shirts, posters and such.  I'll be back with an update on Monday and I'll have pictures so Pepper
can have a page for that premiere.  Take care until then!

It is 2:30 pm and I have been going pretty non-stop for several days on end.  Let us first start
with Boston.  I was working with our editor right up to the last few days on the "
On Location
DVD
" and then it was off to Boston.  I had a good flight there and got in around one o'clock.
Richard the head of security and John the driver picked me up at the airport. We all got settled
in and it was a great reunion of all of us. We also met many new friends and we geared up for
the following days activities. We checked out the
WATERWORKS location where they were
building the stage. It is a big beach resort with beach volleyball, VIP lounges, palm trees, etc...
It looked like an MTV Beach House set except this one had gotten hit by a powerful storm.
Water pumps were at work, the VIP tent tarp was ripped off, palm trees were down and the sky
threatened more.  That night we went to a great Italian place for dinner and red wine.  Earlier I
forgot to note that I had some world famous whole fried clams, scallops, shrimp... I was in
heaven!

Day two had
Joe making the call to move the release party to inside. The WATERWORKS huge
bash is rescheduled for next month. So
BCEG changed gears and the girls starting arriving and
all I can say is that I had a wonderful time.  I walked the red carpet with model/actress
Amber
Kitchen
and our web mistress Heather ___________.  Many photographers were there with the
media and we had a great time.  I even got convinced to hit the dance floor after we had a great
showing of the "
ON LOCATION DVD".  The reaction was all I could have wanted and more.
The media, the guests, the girls all loved it!  It is a wonderful piece and I do encourage you to get
your own copy at
www.supermodelshowdown.com also you can get awesome posters, hats and
t-shirts.  I forgot to note that my good buddy
Ben Danielson who has also dabbled in the movie
biz came to mingle and he had a great time.  He had a great time hanging with the ladies and
needless to say he'll be back next month.

Day three was a more "
fun in the sun" crowd as we took a dance boat tour with the girls.  It was
kind of crowded due to cold weather that kept most people down on the 1st deck.  Overall I had
just a wonderful time seeing old friends like
Joe, Ben, Paul and all the girls and meeting new
ones like
Kat, Kaitlyn, Amber and the list goes on.

I'm home again and I'm told that "
IN The WOODS" is going to Russia and "JUDGES" is in
negotiations with
China.  I will have some announcements later in the week on project status
and it is good news.  Close to new deals on "
FIGURE in the FOREST" and "The PATCHWORK
GIRL of OZ
" that also got asked to a Fantasy Festival in Canada.  A beer salute to my Canadian
brothers in Cornwall... "Tradin' Paint!"

I could be missing more but if so I will catch it in my next entry and I won't wait as long...

I'm sitting here watching some History Channel show on George Washington. It was a good
weekend that started with a few days of script writing and a good meeting in Owosso with
Dean
Teaster
and Tony Hornus over Killian's Red. Friday I wrote on scripts all day and then relaxed
with some grilling and red wine. Saturday I worked until five and then went to an annual
cookout/camp out that my college friend Shelley and her husband do every year. Saw some old
friends and had a great time. Sunday I hung with my father and I ended up getting an early
B-Day gift when he went to go look at golf clubs at the sporting goods store. I got new soccer
cleats and today in our game I scored my first goal of the season from Wayyyy back. The joke is
that it MUST be those damn shoes. They are good shoes and I played a better then usual game
so cool... we won 3-2 in the final seconds! GAME ON!

"
Supermodel Showdown" is now up on amazon.com
I encourage all of you reading this to add this to your collection. You won't be disappointed I
promise you!
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000GDC4G4

I'm trying to coordinate between all these different projects that we have between Thadd Turner
and
CDI. Add in a pet project of Dean Teaster (West) that will shoot in N.C. called "Ghost
Town
". I will talk more about that later. I'm trying to help launch the next Lionheart Filmworks
project with
Kevin Hershberger.  I also just got an offer for a role in a movie to shoot next year
in the U.K.. I like the director's work that I've seen and he has a few other great actors attached.
The year should get crazy and fun from here on out.

I can't wait to get dates on "
The 8th PLAGUE" release! Also coming this year is the
action/thriller "
GPS" and they also have a very cool interactive website that is a GAME. See
www.gpsthegame.com Fun stuff!

I also got word that
Stephen Walker is hard at work on the treatment for "JUDGES 2" which I
think we will shoot in early 2007 but no date is set as of now.  I will get all of these release dates
on these new releases as soon as possible.

Pepper has done a great job on the site. I see a new opening page and she has added pics from
the Boston premiere. A new leading lady
Jessica Rich from SMSD will be soon added. I look
forward to reading your fan mail if you want to comment on any of the new titles released.

I hope everyone has a great week.

I hope you have all bought by now. If not JUMP TO IT!

More Stuff:

He sat on the other side of the bed, mildy preoccupied. We were
shrinkwrapping. We were shrinkwrapping DVDs for the promotion of a
television show. A television show about models stuck in the jungle. I had
no idea how I ended up sitting on the bed.
Well, literally, I ended up sitting there because I applied for a job, was
offered the job, took the job, and then was told to shrinkwrap DVDs with
the director of the show. But that's not really what I meant.

In any case, every now and again I would stop staring at the hot air being
blown around in the hotel room, and look at the man across from me. Tag
lined as a "Hollywood producer," he was more in the public eye than I ever
would be. Tag lined as a "feature film actor," he had been stared at by
more people than I will probably ever meet. That wasn't what affected me.
What affected me was my absolute inability to look at him in the eyes for
more than a second. Normally, I could stare someone like him down for
hours, detaching myself from the moment and questioning what caused
each line in his face. But not him. He would look up and I couldn't handle
it. He had the most expressive eyes I had ever seen. And, if I never see them
again, I will always be able to picture them from the split second I could
fixate on them before glancing away.
The blue that colored his eyes wasn't so blue it stood out, but just blue
enough that you noticed their clarity. You noticed the contrast between his
pupil and iris, and if you could look long enough, became lost in their
perfection. You noticed how uneasy you became when they happened to
find you in their gaze; how you instinctively shied away like an animal
avoiding a fight.

When he looked at me, he was probably thinking about the next movie he
was going to make or remembering something he dreamt about the night
before. He might have even been thinking I had a problem with eye
contact. But he wasn't trying to expose every lie I had ever told or every
dream I had ever had. He wasn't trying to look beyond what he knew about
me, laying bare my insecurities and shifting through my memories.

I later told this man I wanted him to lay on top of me, while I was drunk
and hitting on everyone and everything but the street lamp and the bed
post. Practically though, I couldn't have dealt with it even if he had. I
could have never looked up at him long enough to make it intimate; I
would have stared off to the side so long it made it awkward and pointless.

Sometimes when I saw him after we shrank wrap together, I would catch
him staring off into space and I would try to get a look at his eyes without
him looking back. I wanted to see what made them so intense to me, and
what scared me so much when I was confronted by them. Was I ashamed of
something I had done? Had I developed a crush on them independently of
their owner? Did I simply want their acceptance so badly I couldn't face
the rejection? I didn't know.

Back on the bed, I desperately wanted him to see the eagerness in my own
eyes when I looked at him. How badly I wanted him to like what he knew
about me; how badly I wanted to him to see me apart from the backdrop of
his television show. I didn't know but 24 hours of him, but something struck
me as oddly familiar. And, most likely, he got that response from everyone.
He probably made everyone feel at home, made everyone feel like they
were an integral part of his world. And I was probably one of a million
people he had met that thought she had met him before.

And that was my answer. That was why I was scared. I was scared when I
looked at him, he would see the inequality between us. He would see how
much I wanted him to feel comfortable; how much I wanted him to think he
was instantly integral to my life. Instead, he would see I was a 23 year old
girl looking at a 35 year old man, and my immaturity would gleam through
like reflection of light on snow.

I wonder if he knew he scared me that afternoon, and that I tried to steal
looks at him when he wasn't looking, trying to figure out my fear. I wonder
if he knew in that afternoon of shrink wrapping I realized my own timid
nature in a way I had never noticed before. I wonder if he knew how much
I felt like a 14 year old girl with a crush on the senior quarterback. And, if,
most of all, he knew the power he stored in his perfectly shaded eyes.

WOW! All I could say was that I was flattered! She is a very beautiful young lady that really
helped with getting everything ready for the release.
I think that she is one hell of a writer to
make me sound that mysterious, sexy and cool
. PURE FICTION!

I have finished a first draft of the Mountain Folklore western "GHOST TOWN" and have also
been finishing some new chapters on "
ACE". I can say that it is MUCH harder to work within
someone elses world when adapting from a book then when flowing from your own imagination.

I have dinner with my mother tonight and a lunch cookout with my dad tomorrow. I might
gather with a few friends on Saturday... we'll see. Another soccer match on Sunday that will be
fun.

"
GHOST TOWN" is trying to launch next. Follow that with a role in a Thadd Turner produced
project which I'll announce next week. "
WILD MICHIGAN" had some great advancements and
so this fall we should be in New Mexico. I also got a formal offer co-starring in a good sized
supernatural/thriller they promoted at Canne. I will be announcing some cast, showcasing some
artwork and such here soon. The working title is called "
The Book". English director and UK
location. We spoke after they got my reel and he asked me about playing a British guy in the
film. I said I can maybe put on an accent that will fool Americans but fool British folks...
probably not. I loved "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves" but Costner was maybe smart to just
play it straight forward. They have decided to rewrite and just make me American so I don't
have to throw all the "Bloody this" and "Bloody that" phrases around.

I'm in talks on another action film and we'll just have to see. I'm just ready to get in front of the
cameras again. I should have solid dates on "
The 8th PLAGUE" and please check out
www.gpsthegame.com based on our film "GPS".

My phone is buzzing with eight or nine messages as I try to write this. I thank you for all the
support that Pepper and the other fans have given me. I'm very appreciative and to those who
don't seem to like me... my sincere hope is to make one movie that penetrates your negativity
and entertains you. I hope you have to courage to step up and be as vocal as your bashing.

I thought of that because
Joe Muphy SMSD had a cameraman/editor who was trying to bash
some Costa Rica footage. This is a common ploy if someone wants to try and steal work from
other crews. They simply knock the work and try to say they can shoot a camera better or what
not. Joe had one of these individuals come up at the premiere and apologize and tell him he
really loved it. That it looked great. "
What stones" Joe said for him to come back after being
negative and say something like that
. Good does happen in the world and it starts with each one
of us and how we treat one another. I hope to bring good fortune this year so that many artists
and hard working people can benefit.

Thank you.

I'm sipping on some Vanilla nut coffee and trying to give a little update. I think I'm settled into
my 36 year old skin now: I had a great Birthday weekend with family and friends and got a few
nice gifts, many of them surrounding grilling, one of my favorite pastimes.

I'm back into WW1 land working on the "
ACE" screenplay. The "Ghost Town" screenplay is
done minus a few tweaks to the language. We have started to look at casting and Jeff will start
to break the script down. This is a pet project of
Dean Teaster (West) who has brought Jeff
Kennedy
in as a director with him. Anthony Hornus will be producing with myself and we hope
to shoot this Summer before "
Wild Michigan" in the fall.

I've also got info on a project that I'm signing onto with
Steven M. Smith called "The Book"
scheduled to shoot next year in
England. It is a ghost story and so far Bruce Payne and Collin
Chou
are on board I'm told and they are in negotiations with Christopher Lloyd and Louise
Fletcher
. This is their 2nd feature and they promoted in at Canne recently. I'm sending some
concept poster art.

I'm waiting on release dates for several other movies and I will get that info out asap. I'm
heading down to N.C. to meet with our "
Ghost Town" investors and do some location scouting.
I'll return on the 4th of July in time for a little grilling!

I'm in talks over a few other projects and maybe I'll have a few announcements soon. Let me
see... we lost our last soccer game 1-0 and I have a blister rip that is my whole left heel so I'm
happy that we have a week off. Everyone have a safe and fun weekend. I'm also off to see
SUPERMAN RETURNS at the IMAX tonight so I'm looking forward to that.

July 7, 2006

In many ways it feels so blessed around here lately. I've truly enjoyed the experiences on some of
my travels. I've returned from N.C. where we met with investors on "
GHOST TOWN" a Smokey
Mountain 1800's story of vengeance and redemption. It is based on the
GHOST TOWN IN THE
SKY western theme park
in Maggie Valley and has a unique flavor of the location. One of the
taglines is "
A story of love, rape, murder and moonshine" hmmm... yes the word rape is very
shocking right after love but it is a unique story. We got 1st drafts of the script around to key
people and well... they loved it.
Bob Terrell a famous author of over 60 books including several
westerns is going to write a book based on the screenplay! That is very exciting... look up
Bob
Terrell
on amazon.com and look at his work. We had a great cookout down there and met with
various potential backers to gap the remaining amount of funds and we are almost home.

One of the people we met has a HUGE, beautiful castle on top of a mountain. This had a four
story turret and just wonderful furnishings like a huge Viking hall fireplace, a pub and it just
goes on. They raise the long haired horses Frisians I think they are called... like the horse in the
movie "
Lady Hawk" which we almost used in "KNIGHT CHILLS" but he was too far away.
They throw huge parties in the stables and the covered riding ring. We are going to treat our cast
and crew to a party there on one of the days off. Much of the wood work and stone work was
done by her neighbor a local named
Benny. I can't say enough about the kind nature of this
mountain man.

Simplicity reigns in those parts as these proud Hillbilly's now possess the potential of high
income because of their land (owning mountains) but many choose to keep the natural beauty
and live simple. We had
Tony Hornus down there for the first time and he fell in love with the
area and people as well. We had a few days of location scouting and found many of our
potential locations.
Jeff Kennedy and Dean West (Teaster) are going to jointly direct the movie.
Tony and I are producing and we have one hell of a script full of action and suspense.

I've been whipping Ft. Perry back into shape and looking at sheds that really are more like a
small cottage. I think I might put one out back as an office of sorts. I did some wonderful
grilling the past two days and loving the sunshine. I'm working on several deals right now but let
me see if I can rattle a few... "
IN the WOODS" sold to Russia and maybe "FROM VENUS" and
"
KNIGHT CHILLS" as well. A new family company is looking at "The PATCHWORK GIRL of
OZ
" and "FIGURE in the FOREST". SMSD is in the UK and we are starting to hash things out
with our sales rep.

Online chat and such... Pepper has been on me about two things, first autographed pictures. She
is selling them online to help pay for software and any other computer stuff she needs so if you
really want a picture of my mug with my scribble on it then Pepper has them or will have them
up on the STORE page. Second is the online chat idea she had. What I would like to do is do it
like a book club. We publish a schedule of the topic movies that will give you the readers a
chance to rent or buy a certain movie and then online we will talk about that movie. I think that
will be a good way to focus on one film at a time and then maybe I'll have just an open chat
sometime as well. I will also work on a few surprise guest chatters but we will have to see about
all that.

I'm back into "
ACE" and really loving the development of the script. I saw Max Patch in N.C.
where the
Wright Brothers would fly their planes and it really got me thinking about the
primitive airplanes and how dangerous it was before you added the shooting factor.

Today I might meet up with producing buddy
Curt Hall and Mary Jo Cuppone (FIGURE in the
FOREST
, HEAVEN's NEIGHBORS) for dinner while she is in from L.A.. I'm going to write and
work on getting my weed whacker working... that was a twister to say.

Lastly, who has seen
SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN DVD? I would love to hear responses just
email Pepper!

DJ
BCEG continues to get the word out on our DVD (see amazon.com link Pepper put here) The
program is in the UK and we are also planning next season already. The next HUGE PUBLIC
premiere for
Supermodel Showdown is planned for August 11th in Boston at WATERWORKS.
A freak rain storm blew the place out last month but now we should be ready to go.
Jessica Rich
is also the featured leading lady right now so check her out! The DVD is up on IMDB now so
feel free to leave your comments. Maybe the troll player haters will be cool since they will have
hot chicks to look at... maybe not.

"
The 8th PLAGUE" is with Anthem Pictures who released "AN ORDINARY KILLER" and
"
JUDGES" and the release date is RUMORED to be around the 10th of October , 2006 and I
hope to have a final confirmation soon. The guys are all very excited about the film with the new
footage inserted. They might also play the film at a few horror festivals and we are talking about
what project to tackle next but I think the guys all need a break after this. I'm trying to get an
update on "
GPS" but nothing yet. "Judges 2" story treatment is in the works and perhaps some
of the script.

I also want to give congrats to
Tim Abell my buddy from "MIRACLE at SAGE CREEK" (See
party pictures from Tim's) His "
SOLDIER of GOD" movie was just picked up by Anthem as
well. It is a cool
Knights Templar film with a "Wicked Spring" flavor. I really like the movie and
Tim plays a great role in it.

I'm putting a read on tape for a casting agent in LA after they saw my reel for a film
Curt Hall is
producing. It is a 4 day part but something very new for me if I get it. We'll see what happens
with all that.

That is all the updates I have right now. I have to get ready for a meeting with
Tony and Dean so
I have to get around. Take care and have a great week!

DJ

PS: Saw a great Bluegrass band at a party/picnic I went To this weekend... great fun!
July 10, 2006

I started the morning with some writing on "
ACE" and then also did some much needed
cleaning at Ft. Perry. We had our first "
GHOST TOWN" casting meeting last night. Certain
actors that fit our breakdown were contacted about schedules and reels were sent in to us.
Casting is a tricky thing and
Tony and I, who are producing, have suggestions but the creative
say is really dictated by directors
Jeff Kennedy and Dean West. I think we have made some of
our choices and we still have several to go. I sent Pepper a concept poster that features
Herbert
"Cowboy" Coward
on it. The script is suspenseful and action packed and I think it will thrill
audiences.

I also sent along a concept poster for a ghost story thriller called "
The BOOK" that I'm attached
to. It will shoot in 2007 and release 2008 shooting in the UK. I'm also going to send along a few
pictures of our first scouting trip to N.C.
Maggie Valley. I was there for 24 hours and next thing
I knew I had a pistol in one hand and a mason jar full... ah... half full of "
White" whiskey.
You'll see
Dean West and Robert Bradley who will play Jim Jumper a Cherokee trapper. This
film should shoot before "
WILD MICHIGAN" and we also are working with Talmarc
Productions
on a few of their feature films.
July 18th, 2006

I had a long rant that got erased about an on-camera read I had to do for a film. It is a cool
drama that has topics of racial tensions mixed with the western medicine and health care
concerns for the poor. I saw it as a "JOHN Q" sort of film. The casting director in LA really
liked my reel and then they wanted to see a read. The problem is the character is always with 3-4
other characters and only chimes in from time to time so it was hard to get together enough
meat to be a good read. Then the character is clean cut and I have hair to my shoulders and I
did shave my beard that I had grown. I was playing with western looks. I tried to shoot the thing
myself and what a mess... my hair kept falling, I was sitting on the ground with the camera
resting on the bed because I had no tri-pod at the house for the XL-1! I did two takes and I felt
it was like half ass! I've had much, much, much more dialogue and once I have a role I'm 100%
not half ass but I'm not cutting my hair for an audition.

I handed it off and we'll see what comes of it. It was an odd experience and I guess I forgot how
bad an auditioning read SUCKS!

I talked with the "
GPS" guys and they are in final mix of all the elements as we speak. We
tweaked the music on "
Supermodel Showdown" and I'm excited about that project. Buy it at
www.supermodelshowdown.com

"
The NEST" just entered back onto Indieflix they had the sound off synch so it had to be
re-mastered but now it is back up for sale ($2.95) as well as "
HEAVEN's NEIGHBORS",
"
FIGURE in the FOREST", "FROM VENUS" and "The Making of an Independent Epic:
WICKED SPRING" all features at ($9.95) A good start to your collection.

I've got BBQ pork grilling as I write and soon wine sipping and some good eats. Had a first big
article on "
GHOST TOWN" hit in N.C. and so that is moving along wonderfully. "WILD
MICHIGAN
" is working but still a tad slow.

"
JUDGES" www.judgesthemovie.com and "An ORDINARY KILLER" are selling along and we
are seeing more cash flow back in.
Anthem Pictures has now taken on "The 8th PLAGUE" and
I'm excited to see that get out there. "
The BOOK" may be my next horror/thriller in 2007
although I would still like to do this creature feature if it launches.

Well gotta go check the grill! Have a great day!

I'm sipping some late night tea before bed and I thought I would send an update to Pepper. I
had a soccer game tonight and we lost to the #1 team. We actually dominated play but they
really put the ball away when they needed to. We had a BYE week and then holiday etc., so we
had a three week lay off. Last game I played in some new cleats and it tore the crap out of my
heel. Again today it tore up both my heels so basically I'm bummed. I got new cleats as a B-day
present and I always keep old stuff forever but this time I thought it wise to toss the old cleats.
So I have to decide what to do. Almost scored tonight but we all know almost just doesn't cut it!

I bought my ticket for Boston for the big premiere of "
SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN, Costa
Rica, on location DVD
" the June event went indoors because of a large storm that tore
WATERWORKS apart. We are now a GO for August 11th with a HUGE launch. NOTE: The
casting process for the second season is soon underway and Africa is the destination! See

On Sat. we have a private party with the members of the Loco Bazooka tour. ALICE IN
CHAINS
, BUCK CHERRY and the list goes on. Our girls will be there promoting the show and
I look forward to the event.
Jada Smith (Will's wife) has a band playing there as well and Joe
actually talked to
Will Smith about what we have going on. I'm a fan of much of Will's work so
maybe I will be able to tell him that. To see more about the event see

Looks like we got of movie "The 8th PLAGUE" into Anthem Pictures and we should be looking
at an October release. I also talked with
Eric Colley the director on "GPS" and that film is also
about done. He said the game
www.gpsthegame.com got 500,000 hits last month and the number
is growing. I have to sign some "baseball" like cards featuring the characters from "
GPS" which
is an action/thriller dealing with treasure hunting and murder.

I had the first film from
Steven Smith the director of the upcoming movie "The BOOK" and I
can't play it on my DVD player. I have to find an all region player. The 15th and 16th of next
month I'm suppose to go take meetings in N.C. over "
GHOST TOWN" which has some articles
now coming out. I will try to send Pepper a link to the Citizen Times story that came out last
week. Another story hits this Thursday down there.

I hope everyone has a great start to their week!

We have had mucho press over the N.C. "
GHOST TOWN" movie and I'm happy to announce
here 1st to our readers that CDI is starting a new film division in N.C...
I also had a big meeting yesterday over a slate of films for Michigan and it looks very good! I
wish I could talk more on these projects but not yet.

I had a surprise Fed Ex package that arrived with a script and an offer for a lead in a film that is
a ghost story of sorts. They are talking about
Kevin Hershberger ("Wicked Spring") directing so
we will see if that pans out.
We have reviewers around
the country looking at "
The
8th PLAGUE
" which will
release in October 06. I will
also be sending a few still
pics of me for press releases
on "
GPS" as treasure
hunter Sam. Try the game
at:

www.gpsthegame.com
CDI is also forming and announcing an alliance with Big Cat Entertainment Group in Boston
for upcoming projects. We did get word that
Jada and Will Smith will perform at the VIP party
we are going to on August 12th. I'm trying to get things straight for a meeting in N.C. right after
Boston so I will have a busy week that week.  Have a great and safe weekend!

Last weekend I was in Detroit at my cousin's Hawaiian themed party. That was fun and that was
a nice cap to last week's meetings that went very good. This week it has been HOT as hell... okay
maybe not that hot but darn hot. Getting ready to go to Boston and N.C. which has been a
hotbed of press for our new "
GHOST TOWN" movie. I talked on the phone to Bill McKinney
yesterday and he seems to be really enthusiastic about his involvement. We are still trying to get
our listing up on IMDB so we can post some photos and such but it will happen when it happens.

Today I'm filming a small part in another mockumentary. I'm trying to do a few comedy bits
and this film has a lot of great star cameos in it. I'll release more about this very soon. The other
mockumentary I appeared in
TALENT is being submitted to festivals across the US.

I've been watching this English Ghost story the 1st film by UK director Steve Smith (The Book)
and it is really good. I love the settings and the camera work. This will be a good project.

NEW LEADING LADY... see the beautiful
Melanie Tillbrook now! I will have more to report
soon. Too hot... brain melting:

I had a great weekend filled with work, wine, grilling and friends! I had a family reunion and a
soccer match were we won 3-2 against the number 2 team and it consisted of a group of guys
who left our team last year so it was a sweet victory.

I'm busy as all get out trying to get ready to leave for Boston and N.C. in a few days so I have to
start thinking on packing, mow yard and get ready to leave for a week etc...

I've been finishing up a promo video announcing the beginning of casting for "
SUPERMODEL
SHOWDOWN, Africa
" which will play on the 11th at WATERWORKS on a 60 foot screen to
anywhere from 3,000 - 5,000 people. We have a private party on the 12th and then promotion at
the
Loco Bazooka party on the 13th. Then I have to take a flight to Knoxville to get picked up
by
Tony Hornus and Dean West for our meetings in North Carolina.

Update for fans of that great (Ha) funny (Oh yeah) classic "
IN the WOODS"! I'm told that it has
sold to
Russia, China and Brazil. Vodka, Eggrolls and coffee to celebrate! That re-release with
some editing changes and a very funny commentary is due out early 2007. "
KNIGHT CHILLS"
and "
FROM VENUS" will be heading out 1st of 2007 in a Pendulum Pictures 6 pack.

Also they are trying to fix a glitch in www.indieflix.com search software. If you type in HEAVEN
or NEIGHBORS separately it will take you to "
HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS" Several people have
wanted that film and just couldn't find it. Also "
Beyond Ordinary" will be going up on there for
the new $9.95 price next month.

I have several interviews coming up to promote "
The 8th PLAGUE" and also "GPS"
www.gpsthemovie.com which now has a new trailer up online. I'm attached onto "The BOOK"
which is looking to shoot
September 2007 in Essex, UK. I'm also changing agents within the
William Morris Agency and so that has been underway as we speak.

I have also been shooting on a film here in Michigan called "
uncoventional, the movie" and it is
a comedy about comic book conventions and a bet that takes place to get an interview with a
certain someone from the "
Star Trek" series. I play Don Marco a comic book writer who has
also a huge following in romance novels. We have shot a few days and the movie has many fan
favorites in the film. It has been a great deal of fun and I'll keep you updated on that as I'm
allowed. I will drop this... I saw
Lou Ferrigno was involved and after talking with him at the
Oscars this year that was one of my reasons for looking into the project.

I had a great meeting on Saturday over the "
ACE" screenplay which is just moving right along.
I hope the studio film "
FlyBoys" does well because it might give some wings to our project.

Well enough of the Hollywood B.S. time for me to go mow the lawn here at Ft. Perry!

I'm back! What a crazy fun week I just had. It started with me flying into Boston for a weekend
promotion of "
Supermodel Showdown: Costa Rica" www.supermodelshowdown.com I saw many
old friends that I had not seen since the show. We first went to the
CLAM BOX by the beach
where they have the best scallops, shrimp, oysters and of course... clams. People all flew in and
we had a good time preparing for the next day at
WATERWORKS. No rain on Friday but it was
windy and somewhat chilly. We all did the red carpet walk and watched some clips on the big 60
foot screen. We had a few audio issues but a good time was had by all save a few of the girls in
skimpy wear as the chill set in.

Saturday was a very cool photo shoot back at
WATERWORKS including some green screen
work. Ole
G.W. Burns even snapped a few pics of myself and the camera didn't even break. That
night we all went to a great restaurant with
Joe's friend Bobbie who is the owner of Boston
Scene
magazine. After some seafood again we all did the red carpet deal at a private party with
the bands of
Loco Bazooka. We got to meet Jada Pinkett Smith who rocked the house with her
band
Wicked Wisdom and they rocked hard. Will Smith was there head banging but stayed low
key. It was Jada's night and I thought that was very cool of him. The next day was a
LOOOOOONG day at the festival but we had a blast. We met lots of people and the bands were
cool to meet and we went back stage and the girls went on stage promoting the show. It was
crazy, crazy but again
what a batch of unique experiences for a simple film actor/filmmaker.
Thank you
Joe Murphy.

I was flown to Knoxville where I met up with my amigos
Dean Teaster and Tony Hornus. We
traveled to
Maggie Valley to do several meetings over the "Ghost Town" movie. We had a
meeting with the town hall, the TV and newspaper crews and even met
R.B. Colburn the man
who created the Ghost Town theme park
. The park is SOLD! It will reopen in May of next year
and that will be when we plan to have our movie for sale.

We found a few more locations including the main cabin, stables and a bunk house that gets
burned. My favorite part of the trip was meeting
Michell Hicks the Chief of the Cherokee Nation
and
Larry Blithe he is V.P.. We are looking at using locations in Cherokee and our story has
some of the story wrapped in with their people. We scouted their historic villages and then went
to the casino for a bite to eat and watched our news story in the VIP area thanks to
Alaska
Presley
one of our Executive Producers. That night we went with Larry to see "Unto These Hills"
the 50 year drama play on their people. We went back stage and met the cast and crew and got a
warm welcome when we were seated in their awesome outdoor theater. I loved the play it was
great fun to watch.

We are getting close to launching this and many other projects so stay tuned and have a
wonderful weekend!

Ahhh... the small hints of fall that are around us all. I've just about got the last of my laundry
done and today I will mow and trim up Ft. Perry. Pepper has some of the pictures from the
"
Supermodel Showdown: Costa Rica" launch in Boston posted. You will have to cruise through
the pages.
Melanie Tillbrook is up on the Leading Lady pages.

If you have not you must check out the new trailer if you dare!

G.P.S. is having their private screening on Sept. 16th in Seattle so I will see what I can make it
out to. I will love to see some of you'all out there at the public screenings for "
The 8th
PLAGUE
" and also "G.P.S." once it has an official launch. I did a pair of spots for these two
films for
ACCESS HOLLYWOOD so we'll see what happens.

This week we are tweaking the "
GHOST TOWN" script and scheduling days for actors. Dean
Teaster
(West) flew Sunday back down to the theme park where they are having a big party with
government figures, investors and such announcing the parks plans for the future. The film we
are doing is getting lots of press and we are in the stages of locking the last of the cash down.
I'm excited to get started with offers and contracts in Sept and shooting in October. Pepper will
be posting some pictures of locations and cast as it all comes about.  I'm sending a picture of
Robert Bradley's black cat sleeping in my suitcase. I think that is good luck... he never crossed
my path just slept in my suitcase:

Well I'm still meeting with
Tony today and Jeff tomorrow and I hope everyone has a great start
to their week!

WEEK WRAP UP!

I'm sitting and sipping warmed up coffee from yesterday. Yes. Not the best but I just wasn't
motivated to brew a whole pot. I'm just reflecting on the week. Busy work and I think I finally
caught up kind of.

The main thing that I had to do was rewrite the "
Ghost Town" script. At first the idea was to
write an R-Rated "Deadwood" gritty Appalachian drama. I did that and I was very happy with
it all. We planned to use the old
GHOST TOWN IN THE SKY amusement park as a location.
Now the park has been bought and will reopen in the spring of next year so we had to make the
script PG-13 because it is a family theme park and then they will sell our movie at the theme
park in all the shops. It also will become park of the new park with actors making special
appearances and so forth.
Tony Dow best known as Wally Cleaver made appearances at GHOST
TOWN
and has agreed to the role of one of our supporting deputies in the movie. I hear from
the other Gunfighters that he is just great to work with and
Dean Teaster has spoke to him
several times. Writer
Bob Terrell, who will be doing the book, is doing a once over for
traditional dialogue and that will be entered.
Jeff Kennedy has been doing character breakdowns
and 1st draft rough scheduling.
Tony Hornus has been looking at services in the area and Dean
working with the finances and banking. I'm very excited about the project.

I have a group interested in me possibly starring in a thriller in L.A. in Nov. 06 but I have to see
where
GHOST TOWN falls and also they want to fly out next month to meet and I have to try
and work two premiers into a pre-production schedule. "
GPS" and "The 8th PLAGUE" both
have showings in September. I want to lock dates on N.C. because then I can plan better my
coming and goings.

Also talked with the director of "
The Book" and things are coming together on that front. Ken
Yackel
who will direct "Task" emailed and said they are getting closer on that project. I found
out on
Curtis Hall's drama "Ocean of Pearls" they went with a younger actor, no doctor role for
me. Actually he was just kind of a smart aleck that had a line here and there so I'm happy to
look for something with more meat. I'm
NOT talking about a PLAGUE 2, I had all kinds of
animal organs and such rolling across me in that film.

I know I'm missing stuff pics up on site from Boston where now we start selling DVD's and
talking TV deals again. Joe is redoing the site and trying to focus his efforts. What else? I got 2
new scenes done on "
ACE" this week and maybe I'll type more this weekend.

I'm watching
Anna (the dog) starting today, while my dad and his wife go out of town. So
grilling and chillin' with Anna and a few friends will be the name of the game.

I had lunch with a buddy and business mentor
Bill Breakey yesterday and today I will go have
lunch with my Dad and brother. Chinese shrimp and cashew here I come! Have a great weekend
everyone!

It is OFFICIAL I will be at "The 8th PLAGUE" World Premiere in Virginia! I'm passing up
another trip down South prepping for our western to come and see
GRUESOME GORE on the
BIG SCREEN. This movie isn't "AN ORDINARY KILLER" or "JUDGES" or "WICKED
SPRING
", this is HORROR! I started in horror with my first picture being the often talked
about "
IN the WOODS". The monsters were just not up to par in the day light and movies like
"
KNIGHT CHILLS" which was rated PG-13 just didn't give the blood and guts hardcore fans
crave. So I'm sincere in my wishes to fall back into the good graces of the hardcore horror fans
with "
The 8th PLAGUE". I can honestly say I gave it my all and I think that was the case for
everyone involved. So if you can see it on the big screen please do so. As you will read it is also
playing various festivals around the country. On
October 10th it will be released by Anthem
Pictures on DVD
. Anthem now has released 3 of our films. We've started to see revenue flowing
in on them and that will continue the great relationship we have started with them. Here is the
premiere info:
Premiere:
Time: September 3rd @ 9:30 PM
Location: Old Town Theater. 815 ½ King Street    Alexandria, VA 22314
Ticket Price : $9.00 (Actors and Main Crew are free) and a good portion of the proceeds goes to
keeping the theater running so guys like us will have a place to show their movies!
Parking: There's a ton of parking on the streets. Though the spots will most likely have meters,
they are only in use until 6:00 pm. Also there are a couple garages around that area if you so
chose.
Here is the info about the festivals from our director:

Hey everybody!
I just got word that "
The 8th PLAGUE" is an official selection of both
the
8th Annual (haha, "8th" annual) Chicago Horror Film Festival, and
the
5th Annual Shockerfest International Film Festival!

Let's keep our fingers crossed to take home some awards. We should be
getting word back from several more festivals by next week. Congrats to
