Killerreviews.com will be releasing a full review on their website but they had this to say:

"A gory good time!"
"Girls, gore and a big f'ing ax. Yep, I'm happy!"
"An impressive first for
Franklin Guerrero Jr."
"The only thing bloodier then this movie is a blood bank."
"And you thought HOSTEL was bloody..."

We had the theatrical premiere for "
The 8th PLAGUE" and then it will play for 2 weeks in one
theater and then another chain wants to run it for a week or two in VA. I was thinking about
what to say about the premiere when this email was sent around by one of the people in
attendance of the sold out showing. I thought it said it best.

"Sometimes in life, we are a part of something that we think is good because we are a part of it,
other times, we think something is good because we know someone who is a part of it,
sometimes, we have our expectations exceeded - and still other times our expectations are so far
exceeded, that we are left speechless:  that time is now.  I have heard the word used before, but I
truly say that in order to sum up the work I was witness to on Sunday night, the only suitable
word is:    WOW"

We are also close to have "GHOST TOWN" ready to go. We will know at weeks end if all
systems are GO. Dean went down there again this past weekend and met with backers, shot some
location tests and started exploring marketing for the film's release.

We will start making actor offers next Monday if all goes as planned. We'll have a big meeting
tonight at
Dean Teaster's house to review some footage shot over the weekend. I'll get contracts
ready to go here soon and I'm trying to arrange things so I can go to the
G.P.S. premiere in
Seattle, Washington.

I'm sending some pictures from the premiere: ENJOY!

Lastly,
RIP Steve Irwin, he really lived what he loved!

Holy $#@# another good review. After a few years of taking hits from the horror community it
is good to come out swinging. Oh yeah! I can swing an ax, bet on that!

We had a very good screening in VA and now I hear the theater releases are going very well.
Tonight I shoot on that comedy "
Unconventional: The Movie" and so Don Marco will be in
action this evening.

We've been pushing to try and put the last few pieces in place on the movie "
GHOST TOWN".
We have been talking to several managers and stars directly about involvement in the film. We
are getting right down to the wire but I think we are going to go. We have been shooting a lot of
B-Roll and Behind the Scenes material.

I've been outlining a few more scenes on "
ACE" and I'm in the final stretch on that script. I'm
in talks with someone about another cool period film that I may write and act in. We'll see what
happens here soon. We are getting good reviews on the "
GHOST TOWN" script and I think it
will really make a great story.

I have a soccer game tomorrow and I've been enjoying the pre-fall weather. MSU football is
kicking in and I'm loving it! Have a great weekend!

What a touching day as I watched the 9-11 tributes on TV. After watching that for a while I had
to lighten it up with a good ole watching of
THE A-TEAM. I've been reading a script and writing
on "
ACE" in between budget work. "GHOST TOWN" is almost at a launch point and we are
having more interest in the project.
Dolly Parton's talented sister Stella Parton had her
management get a hold of us about her interest in the western.
The Parton's and the Teaster's
(
Dean Teaster is our co-director) are related by blood. We have a few other solid actors looking
at the project, reading the script etc...

This weekend was a good weekend. I finished shooting my scenes on "
Unconventional" shooting
in 3:00am on Saturday.
Don Marco is a wrap! Ninja's, Stormtroopers, Superheros, crazy! That
trailer can be seen at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g8o0f6JjwQ

They will have a premiere in Novi at the same time as the comic convention and then one in
Lansing, MI in November.

I might have a movie in Jan. 06 after the holidays we'll see what happens there. I'm excited to
see if "
The 8th PLAGUE" keeps getting the attention that it's generating now. It is up for a few
awards in Chicago and I'll let you know what other festivals it will play before the Oct. 10th
DVD release. You can pre-buy it on amazon.com now.
I also pulled the first harvest out of the small garden at Ft. Perry. (See photo of me with my first
harvest of the fall)

I had a few friends over this weekend and we cooked/grilled some great food and drank red
wine.  We lost our soccer game this Sunday 4-2 in a very good match... can't win them all I guess.

I'm off soon to go meet over our different projects past and present. We have a new CDI logo
which I will include here as well.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Well "The 8th
PLAGUE" run has finished in the theaters and we had one of the actresses
comment that she slid into the back row and heard very good comments as the people watched
and were leaving.

Killer Reviews now has a review up and an interview with our beautiful lead Leslie.

Today is the 1st official day of pre-production on "
GHOST TOWN" and today Tony and I start
taking
Jeff Kennedy and Dean Teaster's casting/crewing ideas and make them so. I have a few
hard decisions to make today some based on creative choices of our directors and some based
on financial. I'm excited to launch the first film of
CDI's North Carolina Film Division. This
movie will coordinate its release with the opening of the amusement park in May 2007. There
will be LOTS of merchandise associated with this film. This week we will be packing and
producing from Michigan and then Saturday Tony and I head to N.C. to set up the production
office and spend three weeks prepping for our start date of Oct. 16th and we'll shoot through
Nov. 11th. I play Will Burnett the young male lead who is caught up in this tale of father and
son vengeance. I will be supplying Pepper with many pictures. I'm including a few in here from
our 1st development trip down to Maggie Valley. Give me 24 hours and I have a mason jar of
shine in one hand and a pistol in the other.

We also had a cast/crew premiere of "
GPS" that I missed because I was locking all this "GHOST
TOWN
" stuff down. I hear it went great and I can't wait to see the final cut.

More soon!

Tony Hornus and I drove from OHIO all the way to Maggie Valley in pouring rain. I can't
believe MSU dropped that football game to N.D....anyway. Pre-Production on
GHOST TOWN is
in full swing and we are staying busy and tomorrow we start sending actor contracts around.
Once signed I will give a full announcement on here and keep doing so as we add people to the
cast and crew.

The mountains are beautiful and this rain is what is moving the fall cold front in. The leafs will
start changing soon and we hope to capture all that on camera.
Bo Buckley the AD from G.P.S.
is our UPM and
Dave Isern has been hired as the Director of Photography. We are staying with
the one and only
APACHE KID and what a wonderful place to unwind and do the work needed.

Those who want to see "
The 8th PLAGUE" in Michigan can go to Muskegon to the Chiller
Thriller Festival
or I got it backwards...

http://www.thrillerchiller.com/thrillerchiller.html

Also www.indieflix.com is now carrying BEYOND ORDINARY as well as HEAVEN'S
NEIGHBORS
, and fall favorites FIGURE IN THE FOREST and FROM VENUS. Also THE
MAKING OF WICKED SPRING
...

Collect them all! I saw a nice page with premiere pics and talking of premieres.
UnConventional:
The Movie
will be playing at the Novi Comic Con and then in Lansing and I will get those dates.
I will be shooting but several stars are set to attend.

Back to work!

Had a very busy week but we got a lot of stuff finished. I cannot believe that MSU lost again!
More
GHOST TOWN updates soon including a full cast list. Below you can see a trailer for
UNCONVENTIONAL THE MOVIE.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g8o0f6JjwQ

This is also a cool little reel. This is my co-star Paul Proios from the upcoming release "GPS"
that just had their premiere. I'm told that it went great and I can't wait to see the final cut. Paul
was cast as a gunslinger named
JIM DANDY and this was cool show of his gun moves plus a few
lines from the movie. As producer
Tony Hornus said a "Doc Holiday on speed:)"

http://ncompassonline.com/downloads/Jim_Dandy.mov

Other then that I'm anxious for the upcoming release on October 10th of "The 8th PLAGUE"
now on
NETFLIX and will be at all Hollywood Video & Movie Galley Stores and of course
amazon.com and other online stores.

Lastly, I included a photo of
Robert Bradley who will play JIM JUMPER and Tammy Teaster
who will play his sister
SUSIE TEASTER. We are doing a big casting for a few other Cherokee
actors and actresses next week. Production office goes up Monday.

Best,

October 8th 2006

http://www.feoamante.com/Movies/index.html is another review for "The 8th PLAGUE" and
today the movie jumped from 15,000+ to 33 on the industry charts.
AMAZING! Tonight we will
know if it won in Chicago for
Best Camerawork and Best Feature Film. I hope it does. The
people all worked very hard on that film and is truly is spooky.

Work here in
Maggie Valley, N.C. on "GHOST TOWN" is going great! I can almost release a
formal cast list and I can say a few suprises lie there. We have been scouting all weekend when
Co-Director
Dean Teaster flew in along with James our production designer and Dave Isern our
D.P.

We have some beautiful locations including one view of the actual
COLD MOUNTAIN. Wardobe
and props are being brought together and we have work being done on the cabin.
Bo Bockley
and
Eric Jones the UPM and AD, have been great help. We had a local audition for day players
to cast some real deal looks.
Herbert Cowboy Coward (Harmon Teaster) was with us all day and
really enjoyed going back to
GHOST TOWN 30 years later. It was almost as many years ago that
he acted his way with Bill McKinney into what was later called one of the most famous movie
sequences of all time in "
DELIVERANCE". I promise that people will be treated to even more
magic with "
GHOST TOWN".

I will say that we are adding a few old friends onto the film as well. It is hard because I work
with so many talented actors and actresses and when we have a breakdown I'm putting my
friends and associates in front of the director(s). I still have not seen "
G.P.S." yet but I am
anxious to do so. I hear they might do an LA screening and I would love to hit that.

I will give you'all a sneak peek and one of the location views. Talk to all of you soon!

We had a small gathering of people at the production house and they saw "The 8th PLAGUE"
hot off the presses and from
Movie Galley. My buddy Buck Taylor had a promo for his film on
there and we also saw
JUDGES trailer. The crew here are previous fans of JUDGES. It was a
very busy day as we lock down talent. We had workers at the cabin and that is about ready to
go. Teams are working up at GHOST TOWN. I thought I would share a few faces with you that
are cast in GHOST TOWN The Movie. Do you know them? You will....as
LINN and
COPPERHEAD. You guess which one is which:)

Okay the ship is LAUNCHED! We have had an awesome week and I truly could not be any
happier. The opening day had
Herbert Cowboy Coward on camera after 30 some years. It was a
great moment when he and
Bill McKinney met up after all that time. Bill snuck up on Cowboy
and growled "Take them panties right off!" The two were overjoyed to be reunited after all this
time. That is not the only reunion we also have two "
TOUR of DUTY", Co-Stars Mr. Terence
Knox and Mr. Tony Becker
. T Knox is playing the Mayor and Tony is playing Deputy Tuck. I'm
having several reunions with old acting and crew friends. I'm delighted!

So I had my 1st day of shooting which included a fight scene, a highly emotional scene with
Bill
McKinney
who is playing my father. I ended the day with a scene opposite Princess Lucaj, our
female lead and she is powerful to watch. I'm so happy with our casting choices even though it
has been hard. We have so many friends that are great actors and you can't cast everybody.

Also "
The 8th PLAGUE" won Best Picture at the "Freak Show Horror Film Festival" in Florida .
This is great because we have won 2nd and 3rds in different festivals but never won the overall so
this was a special win. Great job to all involved with that project.

Here is the current cast listing for "
GHOST TOWN". There will be a few additions as we
continue.

Herbert Cowboy Coward, Bill McKinney, DJ Perry, Princess Lucaj, Rance Howard, Renee
O'Connor, Tony Becker, Stella Parton, Stella Stevens, Terence Knox, Charles Edwin Powell,
Terry Jernigan, Charles Matthau, Dean Teaster, Anthony Hornus, Robert Bradley, Russ Stine,
Jordan Engle, Bill Steele, Paul Prios, Fred Griffith, Greg Mason, Tommy Dippel, Tom
Chaudoin, Austin Two Feathers,  Mark Jones, Patrick Walker, Bill Whitworth, Randy Godwin,
Taymour Ghazi, Alaska Presley, Robert E. Shepherd, MaryBeth  Hampton, Jon D. Bowman,
Grace Junot, Harry Valentine, Dave Pappenfuss, Tammy Teaster, Nathaniel Nose, Pheobe Bond,
Ashley Mauney, Ralphene Rathbone

Included is a picture of the cabin after art department fixed it up for the 1st couple days shoot.

More updates soon!

On set of "
GHOST TOWN" getting ready to start week 3 and all is going great! Small fires here
and there BUT everyone is having a blast (See Sat night off pictures) and the footage looks
great. The footage is coming back and it looks epic and breathtaking. The opening credits will
feature a song by Stella Parton and stunning aerial camera work that will take your breath away.

Many old friends and new friends.
Bill McKinney and Cowboy Coward have been intense
individuals heading for a confrontation. The fight scenes are dynamic and a few people were
moved to tears by the performance of our lead actress
Princess. Yes. She has been a gift to this
movie as she has thrown herself into this role with passion and power.

I was sore as all get out after a day of tusslin' with the 265 lb
Patrick Walker who plays a
character "Moose".
Jordan Engel and I film tomorrow along with Kera O'Bryon a very talented actress featured on
the fan site before.
Bill Steele, Harry Valentine, Charles Edwin Powell, Terry Jernigan and Stella
Parton
came in like thunder and POW! We have half the script shot. This story just has a unique
Mountain quality to it that just cannot be matched. "
The WILD BUNCH" is on in the other
room and I'm excited because we have another 2 weeks of playing cowboy.

Austin Two Feathers reminds me of Wes Studi type. Intense as all get out by a really nice guy.
Rance Howard and his deputies played by Taymour Ghazi and Tony Becker have some great
scenes this week. I'm looking forward to a scene Rance and I have in the church. It is a beautiful
scene that many people can really relate to. Courage and Faith being the main theme.
Dean
Teaster
's Digger character is a great tribute to his father and he is really a funny man and this
character shows that with very black humor.
Robert Bradley is also a great best friend to our
mountain man hero
Harmon Teaster. Here is something that Dean put together that explains the
movie's origins.
http://web.mac.com/deanteaster/iWeb/Site/Ghost%20Town%20Movie.html

So I'm not MIA, things are crazy so no time for internet chats (Sorry Pepper) and I have scenes
to go look over since I have a full day acting in almost every scene tomorrow.
Will Burnett is set
in and I feel good about the characters. I think that a scene with my father played by
Bill
McKinney
that is an emotional exchange may be one of my best on scene scenes. The man is just
brilliant. I was doing payroll the other day and "
The OUTLAW JOSE WALES" was on and here
was
Bill McKinney and Clint Eastwood going at it. I don't know what to say. I'm humbled and
honored to be telling this story with some great people. They all came to play and were
handpicked and decided upon taking also into account the look of the area.

I will finish "
ACE" and I think I have a new literary agent ready to go sell, sell, sell! Good. I also
have a few scripts I've been sent to look at parts for. 2006 has been a blessed year and 2007 will
no doubt bring further change. We will have a video teaser within a few weeks because we need
something to show at the
Ashville Film Fest on the 12th. Then we need to wrap up and Tony
Hornus
and I have to see if we can make it to the "UNCONVENTIONAL" premiere on the 15th
in
Lansing. I know that will be a blast. (Poster included) Nathan Quinn the director had this to
say :

"Hey, everyone. Thanks to all the new folks that have jumped on board from
Ren Fair to the
October
Novi Convention. You 501st guys rock. Thanks again. Also, IMPORTANT INFO. The
premiere date at
Trippers Sports Bar is now on Wednesday, November 15th at 8 and 10pm due
to an MSU home game on the 8th. Trippers is located in the Frandor shopping center in Lansing
MI. We will be showing the movie at the
Mid-Ohio Con on November 25th and 26th for you
Ohio folk who can't make it to MI on the 15th. "Soup nazi"
Larry Thomas, who is in the movie,
will be there signing so come on out. And we have quarter pages and posters for the premiere if
you're interested in hosting them or posting them. Contact info is below."

Lastly with the pics and see the odd light around a picture that was taken of me with Paul Proios
(Jim Dandy) also co-star in GPS the movie and Jennifer our key make up girl.
Scary...Holloween stuff:) What is scary is that a picture taken by the art department in the old
cabin with a different camera picked up orbs of light and this odd streak near the fireplace.

So I will leave you with this update to go read scenes...

Goodnight!

I have been slack on writing due to the crazy schedule I've been keeping. I have a few moments
before I get ready for my last day. Today I have my last day with
Rance Howard in the church.
It has been an experience that is hard to put into words. The movie footage coming back is very
powerful. I shot a major confrontation with my father in the film
Bill McKinney and the man is
powerful! I had to say goodbye to my
Violet played by Princess Lucaj and I have to say there
could have been nobody better to play that role. She is soft and hard all in the same look and
she will really establish herself as a leading actress with this film.
Renee O'Conner is also
someone who deserves mention. The story is that I was dealing with her manager over a different
actor and her name came up. I had watched
XENA because of producers Sam and Robert
coming to MSU, knowing
Bruce Campbell from my director buddy Mike Kallio and Lucy
Lawless
. So Renee read the script for a small female role as most of the major roles had been
cast. She really liked the script but wanted something meaty. It was moments after I told her
manager that we would try to use her on a future project that I started thinking, "
What
character(s) did I write as a man that could be played by a woman?
" When the character of
LITTLE JACK crossed my mind it was a perfect fit. Renee was called and the rest is history. She
is a powerful supporting actress in this film playing an outlaw with a motley gang and her fans
will love her bad side in this gritty mountain story. She hangs with the roughest of them and
would anyone expect anything less from Xena's former partner in crime? I luv ya Renee and she
handled that rifle with the same expertise as that bo staff!

My uncle that had been fighting cancer passed last week and it was a sad but peaceful ending to
a long bout of suffering. I could not leave without shutting production down and that was just
not a possibility at this budget and so part of this picture will always carry his memory. Also Mr.
Watson that I was writing the WW1 picture
ACE for also passed away. It was also a surprise
shock but the last chapter of the script will be done.

So many co-workers from previous movies united on this film along with many new faces. I have
many other great talented actors to pull from in the near future. We have a famous country star
coming in to shoot tomorrow on the last day. We have also had great interest for the soundtrack
from many big names. We have been working on a teaster trailer to show at the
Ashville Film
Festival
. We only have limited post equipment here but DAMN it is powerful stuff!

I'm ready to go home and start to put all this together and I'm excited to see friends and family
for the holidays. Soon I will have many great pictures to share and I will miss my many friends
from here but rest assured we will be back. Development is already underway and I'm excited
because I love our crew. They are hard working and the final results will speak for their craft.

We will do a few special things here soon and also a
GHOST TOWN website will also be going up
very soon.

Take care to all!

I'm back at Fort Perry in Michigan and I'm having a period of adjustment from my Smokey
Mountain home of two months. I have boxes here and there that I'm unpacking. Many have
paperwork from the "Ghost Town" shoot and others have Xmas presents in them that I bought
down South for family. I miss all my friends from the shoot but know that now we must take all
the hard work of the cast and crew and construct the story.

Tonight I have the premiere for "
Unconventional: The Movie" a feature length comedy about
Comic/SciFi convention geeks betting on an attempted interview with Star Trek's
Brent Spiner.
The director
Nathan Quinn is a talented funny man and the movie is full of famous cameos.
Pepper might have posted the trailer from an earlier journal entry if not she should, funny stuff.
I will go with a few friends to dinner before going to the meet and greet. I play a writer of both
romance novels and comic books caught up in the antics.

I've also agreed to do a
Q&A with ROC Chat about working with Renee O'Connor. She has a
wonderful group of loyal fans and I've had the pleasure of email chatting with a few. It will be a
pleasure because Renee was a wonderful person to work with and I'll save my other comments
for the
Q&A. I know that more photos are appearing on www.imdb.com (GHOST TOWN) site.

I've been sent no less then four scripts to look at for roles. It will be that time to start reading
and evaluating what project next. I'm also going to finish up the screenplay "
ACE" the WW1
Top Gun story even though my employer has passed away. I'm almost done and I want his
family to be able to read the story and then we will see what can be done with it.

I've been talking with
Tony Hornus about the next installment of Lynn Kendall, the forensic
detective from "
AN ORDINARY KILLER". I think we hit upon a story line that we both really
like. I plan to have a busy winter of writing.

I will let everyone know how tonight goes and also I may be doing an online chat with the
TOD
group
about Terence Knox and Tony Becker. Tony is a great actor and we are already looking at
where he could fit in on future projects.

I sit at my table at Ft. Perry drinking Hazelnut coffee and trying to get it together on a Monday.
It has been a crazy adjustment from the long odd hours on set with the full circus to working in
my quiet cave. I'm trying to get all this paperwork unpacked and put in order. I have 4 pieces of
paper for SAG that have to be done and faxed out. The holidays are landing right on top of all
my stuff and we start editing "
GHOST TOWN" tomorrow. We meet tonight to start getting
everything together. We will have a new website, PR releases, pictures, posters, myspace page,
merchandise!

The first merchandise items will be for sale in Maggie Valley, N.C. and they will also go up
online next month just in time for the holidays. I will include the new teaser poster for G.T. and
it will continue to evolve. I'm going to be answering Q&A for a Renee O'Connor's fan site that
will give some good insights.

I will eventually get to a TOD chat and having worked both with
T. Knox and Tony Becker it
will be a pleasure. We have one of my female leads from "
GHOST TOWN" new on the leading
lady pages,
Princess Lucaj, CHECK HER OUT!

The premiere for "
Unconventional; The Movie" went very good. He is still cutting and trimming
but I think folks will enjoy that "
Comic" feel to the film.

I have to go see Ma Perry and have lunch with her. I'm still playing catch up with everyone after
2 months gone but I'm getting there.

More soon!

WELCOME BACK! I've been crazy trying to get re-settled. I've been bouncing between
"
GHOST TOWN" work and stuff at Ft. Perry such as some roof work I did. Yes me, the retarded
handyman that makes
Tim Allen look like a master.

It was hard for me to just "chill" for a few days around Thanksgiving but I did okay.
Dean
Teaster
has been putting a few days into editing with Dennis Therrian (our post production
general) and we have about 15 minutes roughed out. I plan to go look it over tomorrow and we
also will have our weekly CEO meeting where we address issues and make future plans.

I've read one script that was sent to me for a 2007 shoot and have another coming in a few
weeks. I know I will be led to a few projects and I'm also looking at our own slate of films.

I have a new computer on the way and so I'm trying to stay current... ha! Good luck! I'm going
to try and get everything squared away for 2007. I'm going to the
Oscar Party "Night of 100
Stars
" again this year and we will be hosting a private party in the Hollywood Hills. This is all
with
Big Cat Joe Murphy who has been touring with Carmen & Camille this Canadian duo that
rocks!

Speaking of
ROCS! I finished my Q&A for one of Renee O'Connor's websites. I will tell you
that we emailed today and she will be joining
Princess up on the "Leading Ladies" pages here
soon. I'll tell you that you haven't seen Renee until you've seen her in a bear hat! Yes I said bear
hat:  That is all I can say for now.

So this week will be wrapping paperwork up and some phone meetings with the west coast.
Might try to tweak the "
GHOST TOWN" trailer and also follow up to see what the status of
"
GPS" the movie is. I saw the final cut in N.C. and it is slick and entertaining! I hope we get that
out soon.

More soon! Hope you all have a good Monday!

DJ
November 29th, 2006

Good meeting Monday night and I got to see the first rough 15 minutes of the movie "
GHOST
TOWN
" and it did not seem that rough. The opening credit footage is just breathtaking. The
action, the characters all very cool! We just got the final footage from Hollywood that we
needed. I have to set an accounting meeting today to shake out the figures and I've also been
trying to wrap SAG paperwork up.

We are really starting to talk screenings and also taking a look at festivals. The soundtrack and
novel are being worked on and I think we will have a good package put together. Had a good
wrap meeting with
Jeff Kennedy and found out the direction he wants to go in with his next
project. I will say that it will be horror/fantasy but very stylized.

Tony is working on his next project. It will be a unique action crime drama with a Michigan
flavor. The script is now being worked on. As for
Dean he is up to his eyeballs on editing with
the "
GHOST TOWN" and our fellow friend/producer Curtis Hall just finished a film in Detroit,
a drama called "
OCEANS of PEARL" (CONGRATS!)

I also met with a director about a horror film next year. It is original and I think would be a
good follow up for that genre. I'm trying to make adjustments to my schedule over a handful of
possible movie roles. I'll just have to see how that all shakes out. "
The HARD RIDE", "The
BOOK
" as well as "BUTTERMILK SKIES" have to be factored as well as perhaps the 1st of a
slate of films in Michigan for CDI starting with "
WILD MICHIGAN" I believe. The North
Carolina Division of CDI may do a Spring picture but we will just have to see.

Back to work!

DJ

We are getting down to the nitty gritty final days of the year 2006! I'm at Ft. Perry drinking
some Kona Coffee and the place actually looks straightened. I came home from shooting on
GHOST TOWN and brought 2 months worth of crap and then started having Christmas stuff
here as well. Sunday was a good cleaning day and I also made some of the best chili that I've
made. Even my
brother who can be... well he liked it. Producer/actor buddy Curtis Hall stopped
over for a Pow Wow and we did a nice year in review.

My new computer came in and that makes me happy. I made the jump to a MAC BOOK from a
PC and so there is a learning curve. I'm loving the whole set up and I have even been messing
with the composer software although I think our composer
Dennis Therrian is safe from me
taking his job.

We have a new distributor that is working with and the first two titles we are signing for a single
2007 1st quarter release are
FIGURE IN THE FOREST and THE PATCHWORK GIRL OF OZ.
From there we might see
FROM VENUS and HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS also get a release
through them.
Brain Damage Films is releasing FROM VENUS with a 6 DVD set in Jan 07. I'm
also told that they will release the special edition of
IN THE WOODS. That campy film belongs
on the
SciFi Channel. They have some real campy stuff on there.

I'm back into editing on
GHOST TOWN in a short while. The website should go up shortly and
we have been working on posters, merchandise, soundtrack and such. I'm excited about some of
the possibilities.

I had a great conference call with an Australian company of
SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN and
I think
Joe just got back from Costa Rica so I hope we can get this moving. We need some
finishing funds so I think this company wants to pre-sell the international rights. It would be
great to see that get out there.

I've been reading several scripts for 2007. I have to read the new version of
THE BOOK, the UK
horror/thriller. I have a script from Miami coming in and I just got an offer this weekend for
another movie to shoot in Jan. 07. I just got the script and so I'm excited to see magic! I also am
trying to get on a
JOHN ADAMS HBO mini series because I like the time period and I fit some
breakdowns. I sent some materials in so we will see what happens.

I'm doing some writing on
ACE and also Jeff Kennedy and I have a new Literary Agent and
they are moving and packaging a script around Hollywood. We'll see what happens.

I got all the SAG paperwork on
GHOST TOWN wrapped up save one budget form so that will
all go out tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great week!

I've been crazy busy with wrapping up SAG stuff that I thought was completed but it is like the
paperwork hell that never ends. I think it is all wrapped up! I've said that before though. I'm
almost ready for Christmas next week. We are back into editing on
GHOST TOWN tonight.
Speaking of see the article below and Pepper can then add it to her NEWS section. This was
released world-wide.

The UNCONVENTIONAL THE MOVIE is almost done. I really enjoyed the fact that I got to do
some comedy which is probably more along the lines of my reel personality. My mother says I
don't smile enough on camera but honestly I get uncomfortable with the still camera. It has
never been my thing. Now pictures on set are nice because I'm happy and doing what I love.
Here is a new myspace site for the film.

Here are more reviews for "The 8th Plague" so these can go up under press and such

http://www.evildread.com/interviews/djperry.php

I have a meet and greet read through on that film I'm doing in January 2007. I just got the new
script and the title I'm told is "
Murder at Hollow's Pointe"!!!.could be scary! More to come later
on this new project where I play a washed up college quarterback.

I've been in talks all morning working on distribution deals for
GPS, SMSD (Supermodel) and
GHOST TOWN.

I hope everyone has a great week!

It has been a great year and I can only think that 2007 will be better yet. It hasn't been without
losses like my uncle that passed recently. I think this like other tragic losses that should show us
that it is very important to live fully your passion. I worked with a few new directors this year
and for that I'm happy to have had that experience.
Nathan Quinn in "UNCONVENTIONAL"
and
Nathaniel Nose in "TALENT" and next week "The Murder at Hollow's Pointe". Dean
Teaster
stepped behind the cameras with Jeff Kennedy and "GHOST TOWN" was born. We are
at
about the 1/2 hour mark or the 1st act of of film. E.P.
Robert Bradley is in town and we are
working with him to get some feedback. It was a great experience filming in the
Smokey
Mountains
in the fall. This year saw the releases of "AN ORDINARY KILLER" in March,
"
JUDGES" in April, "MIRACLE at SAGE CREEK" in May, "Supermodel Showdown, Costa
Rica Location DVD
" in June and then "The 8th PLAGUE" in October, 2006.

I met some great people in N.C.,Boston and at all our premieres and red carpet trips like the
Oscars "Night of 100 Stars". I've had great feedback this year and tried to keep the public open
to what is going on at CDI, Lionheart and with all the various companies I have been
honored to work with. Thank you Pepper for all your hard work to the site and I'll see all of you
next year!

Best,
