Happy New Year 2007!
I'm drinking a fine cup of Joe and thought I would take a moment to update
everybody. The holidays are now over and it is time to kick ass 2007 style.
The editing on "GHOST TOWN" is going awesome and we are at the 35
minute mark and it is exciting to see all the great performances come to life.
Cowboy, Princess, Tammy Teaster, Pheobe, Charles Powell, Bill Steele,
Alaska, TJ, Harry Valentine, Mark "Young Digger" started the show and
now we are into myself, Jordan, Kera, Dippel, Paul "Dandy", Copperhead,
Hornus, McKinney, Digger Dean and today will bring everyone into the mix
with Whiskey, Little Jack, Jackknife, Judd, James Martin etc...damn lot of
characters. Who wrote this? I will keep updating and drop phone calls and
emails when I can.
I've been prepping for a release on some of our earlier films "FROM
VENUS", "HEAVEN's NEIGHBORS", "FIGURE in the FOREST" and
"The Patchworkgirl of OZ". The contracts will be sent out this week. "From
Venus" is part of a 6 pack now on amazon.com called VICIOUS VIXON'S
and will also be at Best Buy etc...so pick it up for $10 and let the low budget
maddness begin.
Tonight I start shooting for roughly a week on "Murder at Hollow's Pointe"
playing a washed out star quarterback Jake the Snake Strickland. They
have been shooting for a week and so I'm happy to be jumping in. It will be
fun to go back in front of the camera again.
I will be sending a link for new CDI merchandise on Cafe Press. I've had
some people asking so why not. Forthcoming will be the new GHOST TOWN
website and also we plan to revamp the www.cdiproductions.com website
which is ah...there?
I've also been writing a few chapters on the book I've been working on. Who
knows who will be in the wacky adventures about the journey in this
business. It has always been about CLAWING MY WAY TO THE
MIDDLE. I'm loving it though!
2007 will be a great year so everyone GET AT IT!

I got up early to be in editing at 10 am but Dennis Therrian our editor is
busy until noon. I had a good weekend between editing on GHOST TOWN
and filming on MURDER AT HOLLOW'S POINT. We have almost an hour
editing on GHOST TOWN and the filming on MAHP went great. I think fans
will get their dose of gore for sure. Nathaniel Nose is directing and people
might know his name from SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN where he was the
editor.
We finally got some snow here in Michigan and I actually think it is nice to
have a little snow...crazy I know. I've been reading a few scripts and I'm
looking forward to being part of some great story telling. I've also been
doing several interviews for online magazines about all the movie releases
I've had. Many fans of JUDGES, AN ORDINARY KILLER and THE 8th
PLAGUE have been speaking out and I really appreciate that. GPS will be
coming out later this year and I think people will really enjoy it.
I'm typing on my new MAC book but still use the old computer for certain
things while I figure out the ins and outs of this bad boy. I have a few new
leading ladies heading to these pages including Playboy Playmate Claudia
Costa from SMSD. Hey! The guys who come here have to have something to
look at! I've been working on several things including a few distribution
deals on our previous films. FROM VENUS will be part of the VICIOUS
VIXONS DVD set released January 16th, 2007. It is a cheesy look at all the
classic SciFi and horror cliche's. Also UNCONVENTIONAL the movie will
have a showing late January in Detroit and I might go sign autographs and
such after the showing for director Nathan Quinn.
Also I sent Pepper a link for the first of a few CDI merchadise pieces
at CafePress because of people asking. So if you want to see something
else just email Pepper and we'll see what we can do. I hope everyone
has a great week!
Best,

I just returned from a family lunch where we celebrated a belated Birthday
for my grandma who turned 83. She is still spunky and lives on her own
doing her thing. Because of that and a rehearsal that Dennis Therrian (G.T.
post prod.) we have put off editing on GHOST TOWN until tomorrow. Last
night we cut some crucial scenes and I have to say that I'm so excited when
we do actually show the film. Bill McKinney is just straight up awesome in
this film with great scenes performed by everyone.
Wait until you see Terence Knox and McKinney go toe to toe. Rance
Howard, Taymour Ghazi and Tony Becker have some great scenes that also
include Charlie Matthau, who plays the doctor. All the roughs have come to
life in grand fashion and fans of Renee O'Connor will not be disappointed. I
spoke to her last week and she is just getting ready to show her film that she
just finished. Good job Renee!
I'm so happy how all these scenes are playing out. Just one powerful
scene after another and we are almost at the 70 minute mark. The end is an
action ride so every day I'm excited to go in there and cut. I was
disappointed that we could not work today.
I have a few more days left on the film "Murder at Hollow's Pointe". A few
scenes had to be moved on account of the snow storm we got hit by this
weekend. I'm reading scripts and talking with director/producers to see just
what I will work on next. I will keep everyone up to date.

I'm working with Joe on "Supermodel
Showdown" and we have a few distributors
looking at it now. Matter of fact we have a
new LEADING LADY that the men
visiting this site will need to check out.
Ms. Claudia Costa and she is a looker for
sure. She was just in PLAYBOY VIXENS
with Amber Kitchen.
Speaking of VIXENS tomorrow "FROM VENUS" comes out in the
VICIOUS VIXENS 6 DVD set. It should be at Best Buy and I know it's at
amazon.com BUY IT!
More later! Take care!

January 22nd, 2007
This is take two of my update. I typed one out last night on my old PC and
the battery crashed and I lost it all so here we go again. Monday morning
and I'm having Jamacian Run coffee and my biggest deal currently is my cell
phone that went MIA on me Friday night. We had a screening of the 1st 78
minutes of GHOST TOWN and it went good:) For those old enough to
remember WELCOME BACK KOTTER..."looking good!" We found a
mistake in matching a shot and also two scenes that if swapped will help the
timing.
We also shot this weekend on MURDER AT HOLLOW'S POINTE and here
is a first glimpse from the set. In the pic on sending Nathaniel Nose the
director, writer is on the far left. Next is me as Jake, Tony Hornus as Jerry
and producer Jeff Burton on the far right. I hear it should be out in April 07
so stay tuned!
I talked to Frankie Guerrero and we are looking at projects for the future.
I'm not sure that Mason will be back in action as he kinda had an accident in
the last film so I think we will be looking at something fresh and new.
VICIOUS VIXONS is out now. Pepper should have our new LEADING LADY
up soon and also some CDI merchandise. I'm trying to get all this shooting
and editing stuff wrapped up so I can go have fun in LA at the Oscars. I will
be going for a week for some meetings as well. I hope to have some more
distribution news very soon as well concerning some of the other titles.
I hope everyone has a great week!

I'm drinking down some coffee and fighting a sinus headache that started
yesterday evening. I'm going to do this and get on out to editing. I found my
phone so that is good. I shoot again on "HOLLOW'S POINTE" Thursday
and then this weekend. I'm waiting on this new MOVIE MAGIC software
for my MAC and have been still learning the ins and outs of the system.
I've also been developing several different projects with our different
directors and may be adding a few members into the TRIBE. Jeff Kennedy
is writing, Tony Hornus is writing on his next film and a book for AN
ORDINARY KILLER that goes into great detail. The GHOST TOWN stuff is
keeping Dean Teaster busy as all get out. A big merchadise push will be
coming out and I've seen the advance stuff including the poster and it looks
great. We should have a first look at the GHOST TOWN website soon and
also I've been working with Paul Proios on Behind the Scenes stuff and it is
looking great. Paul is very talented on both sides of the camera.
Well I hope everyone is enjoying the new Leading Lady and checking out the
new interviews. The CDI merchandise link is not yet up and I don't see the
VICIOUS VIXONS box set cover in the store yet but it is at amazon.com and
various stores.
I've been reading scripts and will be making some decisions on what projects
to do next.
Take care and be safe!

January 27th, 2007
I'm having a great time editing on GHOST TOWN. It was a hard week
because it is a funny thing. Scenes that you think might go together easy
become hard and ones you think might be hard sometimes go together easy.
We are in the final stretch on the rough cut and once done it will be pretty
close to a final cut. We have really taken the time to make sure everything
flows and pick the best performances. Sometimes that has been very difficult
because of several good takes.
Everything is coming together and we should have a solid piece of
entertainment. We edited a fine scene with Renee O'Connor that her fans
will enjoy because we were watching it and we all said "She looks really
good there!" She is rugged and still she shines.
The BEHIND THE SCENES material being done with Paul Proios is looking
really good so when the DVD comes out people will really enjoy not only the
film but what went into it. The fun and friendships on set were real and I
think that bonding transfers to the on screen story.
Moving performances by Rance Howard, Bill McKinney, Herbert Cowboy,
Princess, Jim Jumper, Judd and perhaps by yours truly.
Digger, Jim Dandy, Bobcat, The Deputies, The Jacks, Birdie, Whiskey,
Spits are all fun to watch! I wish I could expand here but I cannot...
So...I'll keep shooting on "Murder at Hollow's Pointe" and editing
before I go to LA for meetings and the Oscars.
Best,

I'm have some of my favorite Hazelnut coffee and getting ready for my day of
editing on "GHOST TOWN" movie. I have to call Dave Borowicz to see if it is
good for me to crash there with him. I don't think he starts working until
March 1st so it will be good to see Dave. On set of "Murder at Hollow's
Pointe" yesterday, I told the story of David B and I in Amsterdam. His
girlfriend had sent him there for R&R and I tagged along. We went coffee
shop to coffee shop trying ah...coffee:) The GRASSHOPPER was the first
place we hit! Just a bit more shooting and Jake the Snake Stickland is a
wrap!
I've been in talks about a film that starts the end of February in Texas. It
sounds cool and I'm waiting on the script. I also have several projects in
development across the board. We'll see how that all plays out. I'm need to
try and meet over SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN in LA as well as a few other
projects going to market. I will focus on those projects and we'll get them out
there. New trailers are being cut for FROM VENUS, HEAVEN'S
NEIGHBORS and FIGURE IN THE FOREST by Nathan Quinn who did
UNCONVENTIONAL. That film is playing in Detroit in February then in
Seattle WA in March and should keep playing around the country. It is a
cool little film unlike a lot of the stuff I do...ah...comedy. See that timing!
Ah...funny! Speaking of that TANGY GUACAMOLE rights are now back
after a legal cluster@%#$@ with the distributor...so we'll be doing a special
release for that as well as trying to get it out there foreign.
I'm doing a little writing and just working hard. I hope everyones week is
smooth sailing!

It is going on 10:00 pm and I'm at Fort Perry cooking up chops, green beans
and rice for my bro and I. I had to go get an oil change today because 1) It
was due and 2) I slid off the driveway at Dennis Therrian's one day during a
storm. He has a long driveway back to his house/studio set back in a beautiful
pine forest. A few days ago I pulled in the gate and it was just a flat sea of
white snow. I had no idea where the drive was and it is somewhat rounded so
I missed and went off. Thanks to some rocking action and a friendly neighbor
I got back on track. I saw some dripping oil on the drive and my guess was
that I had hit the oil filter.
Anyway all fixed and editing today was awesome. We are moments before the
major climax of the film and so we should have a rough cut this week.
We film what may be my last day on "MURDER at HOLLOW's POINTE"
tomorrow night. I think it is a fight scene. It has been about 1 degree at
night...cold! I also did not get that Texas film because they decided to shoot
non union so no Texas for me:)
I'm getting ready to go to LA at months end and that should be a good get
away from editing and it will be a good chance to promote and take some
meetings.

I have three scripts to read this week for
potential roles and so I think tonight will
be the fireplace, hot tea or chocolate and a
(fingers crossed) good script!
I've attached a funny picture that someone
made of me???about me?? It's funny
whatever it is...

February 8th, 2007
It is the late hours of the 8th and this is my last thing before bed. Today we
finished the first rough cut of "GHOST TOWN" and so we were very happy
campers. It is tight and action packed at 121 minutes. We all start to fine
tune on Monday and we will lock picture so that sound design and music can
start. I'm very excited for folks to see this picture and tomorrow we will cut
the 1st teaster trailer to release in a week or two. PLAYBOY may do a story
so we want to get them footage and we have a few meetings with the park and
Cherokee Nation fast approaching. I'm told two weeks on the website and so
everything is moving along great.
Tony Hornus got the airline tickets for LA today if I'm not mistaken. I will be
out there jamming in many meetings and also doing the "Night of 100 Stars"
thing again. Joe Murphy is in LA right now so we will also have meetings on
the Supermodel Show. I'm looking forward to getting out of the bitter
Michigan cold for a few.
I've completed my shooting on "MURDER at HOLLOW's POINTE" and I
think fans of the genre should enjoy it. We filmed some dynamic stuff in some
very cold conditions. One of the poor actresses was wearing something...ah...
not warm. I think they will move fast with that project.
I'm reading through a few scripts and and looking to get moving on some new
projects soon. I'm tired with the long hours in front of the computers and the
cold but what fun putting the puzzle of GHOST TOWN together and playing
on the side with the filming of MAHP.
Some may know that my buddy Paul who co-starred with me in JUDGES
www.judgesthemovie.com passed away this week from cancer. It was sudden
and it just really reminds us to do what we love to do. I think Pepper is
making a small tribute page to Paul.
Well I'm off to sleep so I can edit some more tomorrow.

I'm drinking Jamacian Rum Coffee and writing this overdue update. It is cold
as HOTH (Star Wars ESB) here in Michigan and I've been doing the
pre-packing stuff for my 10 day LA trip. I leave on Monday with Tony
Hornus and we'll be staying at Dave Borowicz's crib. Dave is a very talented
actor who really was the star of "FROM VENUS" the campy little comedy we
did a few years back. That seems to be selling well on amazon in the VICIOUS
VIXONS 6 pack and we just signed contracts to get "FROM VENUS"
"HEAVEN's NEIGHBORS" "FIGURE in the FOREST" and "The Patchwork
Girl of OZ" out this year in stores via DragonFly/Inspire DVD. I will give you
more info as we get it as to when and where. I talked with Terence Knox
yesterday and he is excited about seeing all the TOD fans at the signing today.
Dean Teaster wanted to call Terence because he was just great in "GHOST
TOWN" and has some great scenes opposite Bill McKinney. On that topic we
LOCKED the final picture on "GHOST TOWN" and we are going to try and
cut a teaser before I leave on Monday. When I'm gone they will start adding
in sound FX and music. It really is a beautiful picture and I'm very happy
with our first stab at a western set in the east. The small "Wild Michigan"
short was a nice little experiment but this film is full blown. It was a great
experience and soon the poster, website, merchadise, trailer etc...are all going
to hit!
I will tell you that because of the great experience that this film will not be
the only film in the GHOST TOWN series. By this I mean we intend to tell
other stories of the eastern western. We had a big talk yesterday on how to
describe this film because it is a first of its kind. I think people will enjoy
these films that are centered around FAMILY, LOVE, HONOR and
HARDSHIP.
I'm excited that "GPS" is gearing up for a 2007 release. New pictures are
appearing on their www.imdb.com site. Also "MURDER at HOLLOW's
POINTE" is in editing and so is the pilot show of "Supermodel Showdown"
which has created some recent buzz. I'm looking forward to going to the
Oscar party "Night of 100 Stars" this year with Big Cat Joe Murphy. My
buddy Dave will be joining Nadia Dawn, the duo Carmen and Camille that
Joe manages and it will be a great time. I will have pictures!
I read two scripts last week and two of the four I need to read this week. I've
been approached about another 2008 project so that is nice to have things in
the pipeline. I think this year will reveal many great things. I have to go get
ready and get out to editing but I just wanted to give everyone a quick update.
Stay alert, draw quick, shoot straight! I think I've spent too much time in
"GHOST TOWN"!!!!!

Hollywood Update
OK Now I'm pissed. I just typed this darn update and deleted it all so this is
take fricken 2! I'm guesting on Dave Borowicz's computer and it must not
like me. Where was I???
I was trying to give a run down of activities since we got here but now I have
to rewind my nugget. This will not be as well written as the first time around
because I have stuff to get done.
Day 1 was a private Birthday party and jam with one of the members of the
Goo Goo Dolls and many star rockers. Cool stuff.
Day 2 was Carmen & Camille playing THE KNITTING ROOM and many of
my friends from here in LA showed up. I will be sending pics from this event
later.
Last night was awesome because we went to dinner at the Magic Castle the
guild here in Hollywood. Dinner and magic shows inside this museum to all
the great magicians. I love that stuff and so I had a blast and the dinner and
shows were A+.
I also got my tux for Sunday and had a great meeting with Anthem Pictures
yesterday about our current and upcoming projects. "AN ORDINARY
KILLER" is going to pay per view TV and I'll give the where and when once
I know. Foreign sales are starting as well on "AOK", "JUDGES" and "The
8th PLAGUE" and I think 2007 will be a great year.
Dave, Tony and I were going to go deep sea fishing yesterday but the water
was too rough. We have the Oscar party tomorrow night followed by a party
hosted by Jennifer Love Hewitt and then a cook out on Sunday with the
"GHOST TOWN" crew here in town and their families. I will be making a
good announcement here soon on "Supermodel Showdown" that resulted
from our meetings here and of course I will send some new pictures to
Pepper once I return home on Weds.
More to come...stay tuned!

March. Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes Showing on Movies4Men 2.
Above are the dates for "WICKED SPRING" playing in the UK on TV so
that is exciting that our UK friends can enjoy this movie. It also has been
released to 1100 Walmarts across the country so I'm happy the work will be
seen by even more people.
May 8th, 2007 will be the release of the Special Edition of "IN THE
WOODS" my 1st starring role with Behind the Scenes material and also a
commentary with director Lynn Drzick and I. It promises to be funny! With
bad dialogue, some actors early in their careers and muppet monsters it can
only be a classic! I would love to have a reunion screening in Kalamazoo
again to see all my old amigos.
"AN ORDINARY KILLER" is going to pay per view TV. I think it will be
Comcast ON DEMAND. I also know that several foreign countries will start
to get releases of "AN ORDINARY KILLER", "JUDGES" and "The 8th
PLAGUE". Anthem Pictures is really stepping up their game and we are
also making a deal with them over "Supermodel Showdown" to help us take
it to a network (We are thinking Spike TV) and to release all 13 shows on
DVD.
The update on the Oscar party is this; GREAT! What a blast going to
NIGHT OF 100 STARS with Joe Murphy, his music act Carmen and
Camille, Nadia Dawn, CDI members Dave Borowicz and Tony Hornus and
two British Gals Louisa and Emma who won a contest. I saw many old
friends like David Carradine, Martin Landau, Lou Diamond Phillips and
met many new friends Ed Asner, Kevin Serbo, David Faustino (from
"Unconventional: the movie") Ernie Hudson and the list goes on. We then
cruised to the Roosevelt Hotel and had drinks and talked it up with people at
this famous Hollywood hangout. I said hello to Ron Pearlman and other
famous people such as Madonna, Prince and P-Diddy (Who got in a fight)
were all there having a good time. I am sending some pics here to
www.djperryfanclub.com
We met with agents and made a few pitches on our projects and overall it
was just a great trip. I was tired from the redeye trip and still fighting a
small sinus cold so I've been sleeping and unpacking. I have to go to PA next
week because I got called back to meet with the casting director of a new TV
drama much like THE SHIELD or PRISON BREAK. It would be a great
experience so we'll see if it works out.
With the new distributor "FIGURE in the FOREST" is up to be the 1st
release followed by a few of our other films. I'm a happy camper and I'm still
looking at several movie projects so we'll see what happens.

UPDATES FROM COLLECTIVE DEVELOPMENT INC.
Lansing, Michigan
March 12th, 2007
2007 is shaping up to be a productive year for the Mid-Michigan organization
Collective Development Inc. A deal was recently struck between CDI and
Dragonfly/Inspire DVD for the release of four of their early features:
"FIGURE in the FOREST", "HEAVEN's NEIGHBORS", "FROM VENUS"
and their first animated feature "The Patchwork Girl of OZ". It was an
exciting deal that will give some of the early works a good distribution rollout
via rental chains, sell through, VOD and TV.
Speaking of television... "WICKED SPRING", the Civil War film produced by
CDI producers DJ Perry, Curtis Hall, Dean Teaster and Anthony Hornus is
now in 1100 Wal-Mart stores as well as playing on television in the UK. The
film played on various television networks across the country in June of 2006.
Their 6th feature "An ORDINARY KILLER", released last April on DVD, is
now playing on Pay Per View via Charter TV Network nation-wide. This
movie also has a book deal set for a fall release by the publisher. The book
was written by the movies writer/co-director Anthony Hornus. A prequel
entitled "A STATE of HATE" featuring the lead detective Lynn Kendall (DJ
Perry) is in the works. Anthony Hornus, with Anthem Pictures set to
distribute, will direct it.
Anthem Pictures, who released the DJ Perry driven films "An ORDINARY
KILLER" (March 06), "JUDGES" (April 06) and "The 8th PLAGUE" (Oct.
06), have signed on to complete the post work on the 13 part reality TV show
"Supermodel Showdown, Costa Rica" and represent it to the world market.
They currently have an international broadcaster seeking worldwide rights
for both domestic and foreign broadcast. The show entitled "Supermodel
Showdown, Costa Rica" was Perry's directorial debut working with Big Cat
Entertainment Group. CDI is the production entity for Joe Murphy's Boston
based company that deals with TV and film. They recently announced their
partnership with Anthem at the 2007 "Night of 100 Stars" Oscar Event Party
in Beverly Hills. Detroit native, Maria Wade, worked as a camera operator
and director/editor, Nathaniel Nose, edited the "On Location" DVD and the
promo pilot show.
The CDI group is currently in postproduction on the action western entitled
"Dean Teaster's GHOST TOWN" filmed at the "Ghost Town in the Sky"
western theme park in Maggie Valley, N.C., which will reopen this spring.
The film stars 2005 Maxim Magazine's TOP SCREEN VILLAINS OF ALL
TIME, Bill McKinney and Herbert Cowboy Coward. They beat out Hannibal
Lector and Darth Vader for their roles in the 1977 film "DELIVERANCE" as
the Mountain Men who harass the films protagonists. It reunites the two after
30 years in a powerful story that has Hollywood buzzing. It was produced by
DJ Perry/Anthony Hornus, directed by Jeff Kennedy/Dean Teaster with
David Isern serving as the film's Director of photography. It is set for a spring
premiere in Cherokee, N.C. followed by a summer long theatrical release that
may widen based on final screenings in L.A.
CDI announced that it intends to bring a series of films back to the State of
Michigan in the wake of the new state incentives. They will announce a slate
of films later in the year to be shot 2008-2011. Mid-Michigan is just as active
as the Detroit or Grand Rapids areas and it is exciting to watch film in the
state grow.

Well I'm sipping some coffee and feeling mighty good. I've been fighting a
head cold for a week plus now but it seems to be letting go of me as spring
finds its way to Michigan.
We are starting the music and sound design on GHOST TOWN and we have
some real excitement coming Hollywood over it. I've been working with
Dean Teaster on a story treatment for the next installment in the GHOST
TOWN series. It will not be a prequel or a sequel but will be another
mountain tale that takes place in the 1800's. This one will be darker and
clever. I guess that would be the right word. We might see some cast return
from the 1st film in different roles and we will see some new faces as well.
As for acting...I'm told the first cut of MURDER AT HOLLOW'S POINTE is
done and they will also start music and sound design. I'm waiting on the TV
show I was approached about but I was told that I may be behind actors that
have network play or simply have been on tv shows versus motion picture. It
could actually make my life easier as I have no less then 3 acting offers
floating in the March-June time frame that the show would take. I read one of
the scripts yesterday for one project and I really liked it. I would be
co-starring and it is a mafia picture and that is all the tease I will give:)
We have some serious interest in the early version of WILD MICHIGAN. I
had brought Thadd Turner, a very good award winning western writer to
help put his spin on it. We shopped that version and some of his parties
wanted it to go in a direction I did not want to take it in. The parties I'm
talking with also liked the early version and so I've taken out my original 1st
draft version and I'm doing my own rewrite on that. I'm really just
strengthening dialogue and adding a few elements. I find that happens
sometimes that art is subjective and if you are going to really get behind
something you have to love what you are working on. The same situation with
two other scripts, one a Xmas comedy HOLLY, JINGLES and CLYDE and the
other is a comedy called MONEY SHOT. Both had other writers brought on
board and in both cases I believe that the heart of the story was lost. More in
HJC then the latter but still once the passion is gone projects die unless they
are sold and that is where many weak films are born. Now I've made a few
weak films due to budget or lack there of but they still have heart.
One such movie is IN THE WOODS, my 1st starring role as fire fighter
Alex Kerwood. It is getting a specially remastered, recut release on
May 08, 2008.
More later!

March 25, 2007
Today was beautiful! We had our soccer meeting for our Men's league that
starts end of next month. It is always a great way to stay in shape and also get
some mental rest. For a short time you are just focused on the game. Also my
soccer buddy Brian and his son Harth and I have started this hot sauce
making thing. We made a 1st batch last year called RUM WITH THE
DEVIL. Actually 4 versions and it was simmered in rum. The new batch is
simmered in shine, if you don't know what that is it comes in mason jars and,
the first taste tests were very good. I enjoy making stuff and this has become a
fun little distraction.
Busy, busy and more busy, GHOST TOWN will be backed up on hard drives
and we will go full blown on music and sound. The premiere date for N.C.
should be set this week but also it will be playing in a theater near Ghost
Town in the Sky all summer. This week should see the launch of the GHOST
TOWN website by Tuesday I believe. A full line of merchandise will start to be
sold as well as many spin off products such as the novel!
In the meantime here are a few updates:
FIGURE IN THE FOREST - will be released in full mid to late summer.
A great little short that I did with IN THE WOODS director Lynn Drzick. His
wife was graduating from WMU and she produced this as her final. I played
the cop, Bob Dullem is Springheel and Lynn was the director. Cool little
piece that is on my MYSPACE page or can be found here. Leave your

"SPRINGHEEL JACK" is now live on IFILM:
IN THE WOODS has a Special Edition release May 8th, 2007 and here is a
peek of some of the extras! Part of the "In the Woods: Behind the Scenes"
I'm in negotiations on a few film roles and I think on KILL PIT they will most
likely go with someone coming from TV. In one way the project would be high
profile but the other two movie roles are co-starring roles. As an actor I'm
excited about the characters before me and we still have a project or two
coming down the lines as well.
WICKED SPRING is at Walmart as I saw it myself and because it played in
UK on TV now our friends from the Oscars, Emma and Lou, have been
throwing parties there and watching our films. They just watched AN
ORDINARY KILLER and sent me a message saying they loved it. Great! That
is why we make them:
Well I hope everyone has a great week!

I'm chilling at Fort Perry and drinking hazelnut coffee so basically I'm in
heaven! OK! So I got a call from an imdb.com watcher and apparently the
members or anti-members of my fanclub are once again back in business. I
read a few of the postings and I laughed to myself but I will share with you
why. First let us all be honest, I don't go out of my way to read the crazy BS or
pine over it all. I know that not every movie is totally awesome but they all
have a story to tell. The newer films tend to be better, why? More money,
better experienced talent, better filmmaking. I do try to remain open to fans
to communicate with and it this age of internet, websites, myspace, etc.,it is
much easier to do. People assume that if you can be talked to that somehow
you
don't have that mysterious STAR power. I'm here to tell you that it is all
marketing and promotions. Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis, Sly, Clint Eastwood all
sleep like we do and get up and make coffee and they are real PEOPLE! I
know from my travels, emails, letters and such that people out there enjoy the
films we have done. Below was a great email from a nice gal, Lou, in the UK
where WICKED SPRING has been playing and they all watched
AN ORDINARY KILLER.
"Hey ! Oh my god that film is amazing!!!! Seriously I love love love it. It just
got here this morning and I got my friends around immediately to watch it.
They all loved it too! I am resisting the temptation to ramble on, and tell you
all the things I loved. You must get this alot, plus my friends are here, telling
me
to "be cool" something I'm not familiar with :-)
Lou"
THE POINT:
I do treat people fairly and with respect and that is a great secret to success in
any field. I'm sure that people do read intentionally harsh or bashing emails
directed towards me or the group that created the work. Fans will strike back
and yes if they see someone put 30 votes of 1 on an unreleased title yes that
creates an arms race with people. I'm sure some comments are made by
grandparents, family friends and such but many people do buy the films,
watch the films and enjoy the films. If someone really has a problem with a
film then they should just not watch. I have certain actors that I'm not a fan
off but I don't spend large amounts of energy bashing because the truth is
someone likes their work. If it is selling they will work more and more etc.
I guess that is my point. I don't mind bashing because it is all just part of the
buzz. The few people out there who cut and paste and spend so much time are
worse then fans. They are fans of a sort and they drive sales. I love to create
and I will continue to and I have to say my career is at an all time high and I
thank the fans for that and the anti-fans.
We have some great announcements coming up concerning GHOST TOWN,
which I'm off to work on in a few. We are working on sound design and we
are having a blast. I have ADR work on Friday for UNCONVENTIONAL and
MURDER AT HOLLOW'S POINTE both almost complete.
Have a great day and remember to keep following your dreams!
