In Deadwood, you may lose your life...
But in Ghost Town, it may be your soul.
June 7th, 2007

Where do I begin? The showing for "Ghost Town" last Saturday was great...
beyond great! Maggie Valley, NC has the best people and I can say that very
honestly. I love the simplicity and slower pace of life for a work-a-holic like
me. My buddy,
Malibu-Mike at www.oldtradingpost.com set me up with a
kick ass western frock coat and vest. We did the limo deal to the red carpet
where people packed the place to snap shots of the stars and get a few words
in before the showing. They sold all the tickets and next thing after a few
rounds of congrats and thanks... there it was on the big screen. We are
adjusting sound still before the 1st June 11th, 2007 public showing but overall
I was very happy. The afterglow was mind blowing with handshaking and
picture taking with so many people. The feedback went from good to great
and one or two thought quicker to the main gunfights would have pleased the
"shoot 'em up" enthusiasts. They were happy once the action kicks in fully but
it is still not "The Wild Bunch." (I LOVE that movie!)

The day after we went up to the newly opened theme park
GHOST TOWN IN
THE SKY
www.ghosttowninthesky.com   What an honor to see the place back
in the swing of things. Saloon girls, cowboys, kids!  Welcome Back! The
chairlift up is awesome and worth the trip itself.

Great cook outs (Thank you
Dave, Barbara and Hadie) VIP trip to the
Biltmore Estate (Thank you Matt!) and tonight "Unto These Hills" in
Cherokee! This has been just a great vacation get away. I head back tomorrow
to Ft. Perry and to start some serious writing on the "One American
Dreamer" script. I also am in negotiations on my
1st Civil War film since
"WICKED SPRING"... yes you heard me right. I said that it would have to be
damn good to get me into wool pants again. We are in final talks and it is a
great story with a great cast! I've had a few other scripts come to me this past
week so I'm still looking for what will be next.

The book "Teaster" is for sale and I hope to have links up soon. I've seen the
posters being sold on the site here live and WOW! Huge and heavy paper! I
hear rumor that a
Will Burnett (DJ Perry) and a Little Jack(Renee
O'Connor
) posters may be coming.

More later as things develop. Watch the trailer and pass it along to friends
and we'll see you in the movies soon. Many thanks to
Pepper, Trisha and Amy
who traveled to the premiere! The film will continue to play in Maggie Valley
at the Eagles Nest throughout October, 07 for $10.00

NEXT STOP: Nashville ? Maybe?

I'm sipping some java on this beautiful summer day with me and my
keyboard just a clicking away.

Okay so a few good updates:

1)
Renee O'Connor gave audiences at the NYC Xena Convention a sneak
peek at some footage from the "
GHOST TOWN" movie and I'm told them
loved it.

2)  The new novel "
TEASTER" based strongly upon my original screenplay
is now for sale. (See the
STORE section of the www.djperryfanclub.com )
If you are the type who wants to know before you watch the film but beware
the final film has a slightly different ending!

3)  I think the next stop for the "
GHOST TOWN" movie will be Nashville, TN
with
Stella Parton as the host!

4)  I was informed yesterday that "
CROSSING the KING's HIGHWAY" has
gotten a full greenlight and will start shooting in July. Interesting note is that
because of a squeeze schedule I may play a different character other then the
lead "
Boaz" so stay tuned.

5)   The squeeze may come from the mafia picture "
TONY JACK" so we'll
see what develops here in the next week or two.

6)  I had a photoshoot in N.C. with
Ed and Oenita the photographers for
the "
GHOST TOWN" film and I was happy. Thank you both!

7)  I've started writing on "
One American Dreamer" and so far so good. It
could go in a couple different directions so I'm exploring all that now.

8)  I'm going on vacation with my brother and father at the end of the month
and we might get into some deep sea fishing.

That is about all for right now folks. I've been cleaning up Ft.Perry both
inside and out because I was off in Miami and N.C. and the place needed a
good cleaning.

Take care and thank you all!

Sipping some coffee at the Ft. Perry before going to pick up
Jeff and
Jackson Kennedy
. We are heading to the studio with Dennis Therrian to do a
commentary track for the upcoming re-release of
KNIGHT CHILLS. The
Special Edition of
IN THE WOODS is doing so well that now we are doing a
commentary for
CDI's 1st film about role players being stalked by a 7 foot
tall knight. This movie would be interesting to revisit with a large budget but
the days of table role playing are fading quickly into online gamers. I wonder
if they miss the one on one interaction?

Yesterday I started writing on the new script working title
ONE AMERICAN
DREAMER
. It is based upon a few chapters of the book by Alice Bateman and
is a great piece of work. I've got a few other script ideas going around and I
know another
GHOST TOWN series film will come down the pike. Let me
see... these films are shot and will be released soon.

GHOST TOWN (Playing select places) www.ghosttownthemovie.net
MURDER at HOLLOW's POINTE (2007/2008)
The STALKER WITHIN (2008)

Also the film "
CROSSING the KING's HIGHWAY" is up and running. We
start shooting in July and
I will not be playing Boaz as we have decided to go
with someone older for the role. I will most likely be playing a part in the film
so we'll see. August looks like "
Tony Jack" is ready to go and fall is the
period piece "
SHATTERED GLORY" and so it could be a full year.

I meet with
Dean Teaster tonight to go over our release plan for festivals and
screenings for "
GHOST TOWN" movie. It has been playing in NorthCarolina
and crowds seem to be really enjoying the film!

I will be sending cover art for the new
KNIGHT CHILLS soon! Also a
"
GHOST TOWN" poster of my character, Will Burnett may come out soon
along with posters of
Renee and Stella. Tony Hornus shipped via the military
hats, posters and shirts to Iraq and some are now in the royal palace.
GHOST
TOWN INVADES IRAQ!
We are also exploring the possibilities of a USO
show.

Take care!

I'm sipping coffee and the air has a slight chill to it. Soon I have to finish my
final packing before my brother and I head out. We are having a Birthday
lunch with
Ma Perry then he and I are off with Pa Perry to Detroit and then
to the
Virgin Islands. No computer and no cell phone just me and a few books
and notepad. It is hard to believe that Saturday is another Birthday. I'm
thankful for good health and many good things that are happening and
continue to happen in my life.

I know that the new special edition of
KNIGHT CHILLS is due out in
September 2007 in time for Halloween. I've attached some new artwork and
so you saw it 1st here! It was fun having
Jeff, Juanita and I looking back on
the
1st effort of CDI. It was an amazing organization for 10k and a 18 day
shoot. I also know that
Jeff Kennedy's project, he is hard at work on, is a
fantasy film.

Tony is finishing up the book for "AN ORDINARY KILLER" which will be
released here soon on HDDVD as well as "
JUDGES" and "The 8th PLAGUE"
so be ready!
Dean is going with Tammy, his wife, down to Ghost Town in the
Sky
theme park where she will be the kick off "Special Guest Star" at the
theme park. Over time we will see more and more of the cast doing
appearances. The movie continues to play strong in the
Eagle Nest Event
Center
in Maggie Valley. Dean and I continue to have story talks about
where he wants to go next.

Meanwhile I'm in full swing on writing "
One American Dreamer" (Working
title) the script centers on events from a few chapters of the book. It centers
on a German POW camp in the heart of Iowa leading up to Christmas Day. It
is truly a powerful and inspiring story that we feel audiences will love.

As for acting I have a few projects lining up so it should be an exciting year!

Until next week!
