I'm drinking Hazelnut coffee and chilling on a sunny Sunday morning. Things
have been good since I've returned from Asheville. I've been getting Fort
Perry ready for winter with windows and putting away my patio stuff. Pretty
soon it will be Thanksgiving and then the Holiday season. I'm looking forward
to the rest of holidays on one hand and then getting ready for 2008.

October 1st, 2007
Welcome to my favorite month of the year! I had a wonderful weekend with
beautiful weather. I had help from a special someone in putting a new floor in
Fort Perry's bathroom to go with the new tub and surround. MSU lost but the
Detroit Lions won! Grilling and chilling and enjoying a little hard cider.
I've been working the deal on "GHOST TOWN" and waiting for an exact
show date. You can go to www.ashevillefilmfestival.com and watch for it and
leave comments. Tell them you are anxious to see the movie.
Speaking of films and festivals GPS is playing at the Tacoma Film Festival on
October 6th I do think. Look up the time at
http://www.grandcinema.com/page.php?id=43
I've been working on hiring crew for "The Book of Ruth" which starts
shooting on October 17th. Dyan Cannon did sign on and having a three time
Oscar Nominee will be a great honor to work with. The entire cast is great!
Stephen Walker, the director, David Selle, D.P. Peter Sassi, Editor and Ray
the main man were all in Arkansas location scouting.
Before I go play the kind and humble Harz, best friend to Boaz, I will be
playing a twisted individual named Percival. The movie is called "Dog" and
I'm including a poster. If this is the MYSPACE posting then you must go to
the DOG Myspace site or go to my official fan page at
www.djperryfanclub.com
I found out some good information about "Shattered Glory" pushed to
January-March 08 due to star actor schedules. I also found out that the movie
got an entire distribution package. Once I'm allowed I would say who but it is
a major studio. That will also be a great shoot and I'll look forward to getting
out of cold Michigan during that time.
More soon!

Let me see, I've been unhappy that it had been so humid in Michigan. It is
October which is my favorite month of the year so go away heat. Today we are
back to the nice cool fall and so I'm a happy camper. I got the new roofing
material on Fort Perry and so I'm ready for winter. I also won a good chunk
of change at a poker party I recently had and made some good chili to boot.
I've been enjoying hard cider and even a little mead. Thank you Amy and
Jason!
I had the opportunity on Sunday of shooting on that horror film "DOG" and
what a good group of people. I met some good actors for the first time and also
saw some old associates like Tim Lovelace that I haven't seen in a long time.
The location was very cool and I think they will have an awesome film.
I'm getting ready to head off at the weeks end to Arkansas to start shooting on
"Book of Ruth" for two weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends
and making some new ones. We have a great cast in place and the crew is
almost full as well.
We got a first report in on "GHOST TOWN" on foreign sales projections and
they feel it is very strong. We will have a detailed breakdown and we do hope
to get this film out to our loyal supporters in countries around the world.
Know this: GHOST TOWN IS COMING!
"GPS" had another festival sell out and so they set up another screening this
past weekend. If you get a chance check the film out on the big screen. It is a
cool flick for sure.
Another film I'm associated with got a green light and I'll have more info on
that in a few weeks. Also for those that watch IMDB you might see a few
additions as development continues.
"AN ORDINARY KILLER" the crime drama that I co-starred in with Terence
Knox, Terry Jernigan, Dan Haggerty etc: is going to network. I got word
that it will start in NYC on ABC and move out from there. Also it will be
going to several foreign territories and also several large retail stores like BIG
LOTS and DOLLAR GENERAL. More as this unfolds and also now that Tony
Hornus is done with the book he will soon begin the script for A STATE OF
HATE which puts detective Lynn Kendall back in action.
Take care everyone and thank you so much for all your support!

I'm writing to you from the beautiful mountain of Arkansas. I never expected
all this because when I did my homework I read that they were the largest
exporter of rice in the U.S. but when I got here it reminded me of N.C.. It is a
small mountain town of Eureka Springs and the people here are so friendly.
The sets and locations are very cool. They are actual reproductive buildings
from biblical times. You feel like you are walking back in time. I was on
camera for the 1st time yesterday as Benjamin the right hand man to Boaz. It
was such fun to do my thing and also to watch the other great actresses and
actors at work. I have to say that Lana Wood is such a great person. She is the
sister of Natalie Wood and an actress from such movies as "Diamonds are
Forever" with Sean Connery.
Rebecca Holden flew in yesterday as well as Russ Stine, Fred Griffith and
some of my other fellow actors. It is always good to see people especially when
it has been a few years. We have just about smoothed out all the bumps and
things are moving along nicely. More updates on that later.
My friend John Demarko landed a role in the horror film "DOG" and so I
wanted to give him a big congrats! I'm also working with Tony Hornus on a
documentary film "Outside the Wire" that will shoot in Afganistan in
November where he will be embeded with our U.S. troops. I'll go more into
that when I have more time. "An Ordinary Killer" is going to ABC starting in
NYC so Ed in NYC and all my other friends and fans be on the look out.
I have to get ready for a meeting but I wanted to let you all know that coming
up soon we will feature my webmaster PEPPER as a leading lady on this fine
site. She has really been a leading lady in my career in helping fans and
friends to stay connected with my coming and goings.
More soon!

One week down on the BOOK OF RUTH shoot and the footage looks
incredible. We had a nice dinner for cast and crew on our day off and
everyone had a great time. Dan Haggerty even played some ping pong:) I've
gotten to work with some old friends and I've met some great new friends. I
am going to send a group of photos to Pepper to put on the friends page.
I'm also going to send a pic of me on the set of DOG with David Fine and Tony
Hornus. If this is on myspace please go to www.djperryfanclub.com to see all
the pictures.
AN ORDINARY KILLER is going to go to ABC so that is great news. It will
start in NYC and spread out from there. GHOST TOWN is getting ready to go
to the Asheville Film Festival on November 9th and GPS
(www.gpsthemovie.com) won BEST LOCAL FILM at the Tacoma Film
Festival in Seattle. It sold out and they had to book another show. It has been
playing in theaters in New Mexico and Seattle.

OCTOBER 31st, 2007
October 31, 2007 is one of my favorite days of year. I'm now back in Michigan
after two and a half weeks in Arkansas shooting "Book of Ruth" and I'm
working hard to wrap up stuff on the film and also get my personal affairs in
order. We have "Ghost Town" playing on November 9th at the Asheville Film
Festival and I know "GPS" is playing more theaters as well.
See: www.gpsthemovie.com
While in Arkansas I got to see my good friends John Two Hawks and Peggy ,
his wife and manager. He is from Michigan and was in "From Venus" and
now has 14 CD's out and has been nominated for two NAMMY's and won an
EMMY this year for his playing on HBO's "Bury my Heart at Wounded
Knee" and I'm so proud of him! Great to see you both! Goggle John Two
Hawks and take a listen!
I saw many old friends and made some great new ones on the film set. We
have a few pick up days in Nevada once everything gets settled. I hope today
everyone has a safe evening.
If any of you want a good scare with gore galore go rent "The 8th Plague"
from Hollywood Video!
I will have more updates on the various fronts here soon.
Here is a pic from me at a castle built up in the mountains of Arkansas. All
Hail the King! I hope Elvis and Bruce Campbell don't try to sue me for their
catch phrase!

On a personal note I want to say that I'm very sorry for the loss of my fellow
producer, writer, director, actor and friend Tony Hornus' father this
weekend. He had been ill but still one is never ready for such a loss. My
thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. This is the one year
anniversary of the los of my uncle Jerry Heppe while filming "Ghost Town"
and he will be missed this holiday season.
Movie Updates:
GPS winner of Best Local Film at the Tacoma Film Festival is playing the
theaters. If you want to see it around you talk to your theater and get the
contact info to Eric at www.gpsthemovie.com
Upcoming screenings include:
12/7/07 The Capitol Theater in Olympia WA at 6:30
1/9/08 - 1/13/08 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm at Central Cinema in Seattle, WA
Exciting news is that amazon.com is now carrying the Indieflix single film
titles for "From Venus", "Heaven's Neighbors", "Figure in the Forest" and
"The Making of Wicked Spring" so here is an easy way to add them to your
collection.
The horror film "DOG" is now in post production.
We are in pre-production for the doc film "Outside the Wire" that Anthony
Hornus is directing.
I just got an offer to go shoot on a film in India as a police officer so we'll see
after I read the script and if it jives with my "Shattered Glory" schedule.
We will get ready to shoot the final leg of the "Book of Ruth" shoot here in a
few short weeks. We will shoot in Nevada and it should be a great time and
will give the final pieces to our story.
Stephen Patrick Walker who is directing "Book of Ruth" is working on the
script for "Judges 2" named "Devil's Bayou" and it will be a rip roaring
action packed film. There are talks with various actresses to play the leading
lady in the project. Rumors are everywhere about just who might bring the
action.
This week I will do my revisions to "Silent Night" and at the weeks end I
think I'm heading with composer Dennis Therrian down to N.C. for the
Asheville Film Festival.
More updates to come I'm sure!

I've just returned from a great trip to Maggie Valley, NC to showcase
"GHOST TOWN" at the Asheville Film Festival. It played to a large house
and we had a great Q&A session after that. It was also a good time sitting
around the stove fire and having chit chat. We have two projects in
development down there. The first will be Dean Teaster's follow up film. I'm
working on the story treatment now after getting what I feel is enough story
plot points to weave our tale. It is the working title "Timberwolves" and I'm
actually excited about it. The other project is about a Union Scout/Spy named
Sam Massey and I am also excited about that project. Both will make great
films.
I've had four movie offers for acting in 2008 and so I've been reading scripts
and trying to make some good decisions. I think I may be focusing in on a few
projects.
I'm also making final tweaks on "Silent Night" the WW2 POW script. I
might have one more end of the year meeting in Iowa over that project
and of course the final pick up shoot in Nevada for "Book of Ruth".
Other then that it will be just wrapping up and getting ready for 2008!
I'm sending a few pics to Pepper at www.djperryfanclub.com/Ruth.html from
"Book of Ruth" sent to me by my friend Sam who worked transportation but
is one heck of a good writer to boot.
I think Dennis Therrian will be doing the score and sound design on
"Book of Ruth" so I'm looking forward to that.
More updates soon as I get them on the other projects!

I'm trying to find out dates for when "An Ordinary Killer"
goes to ABC but I do have the dates for "Miracle at Sage
Creek" renamed, reedited with additional scenes now
called "Christmas Miracle at Sage Creek"
TELEVISION PREMIER!
Starz Encore Westerns Channel
Thanksgiving
November 22, 8:00pm
Other big news coming with Anthem Pictures and Supermodel Showdown. A
big promotional event might be going down in Costa Rica in Jan. 08 and
Joe Murphy will have a announcement soon.
I'm also proud to announce that yesterday I finished what may be the final
draft of "Silent Night". I've been taking the feedback notes from Mr. Rance
Howard who was both alive during that time period and familar with aspects
of the story. For those who are unaware it is a WW2 POW Christmas story.
Depending on how long it takes to pull all together we will shoot either in
2008/2009.
I've got the follow up story for Dean Teaster's screenplay floating in my head
and some put down on the ole computer. With that NC division I'm also
putting the business plan together on Sam Massey project. That is a Civil War
Union Scout/Spy story.
Speaking of Civil War I've been recently updated to the status of
"Shattered Glory". I have been approached about serving as a Co-Producer as
well on the project. The construction phase begins in January, 2008.
I also will have an annoucement on another film that I'm signing onto for
2008. I've been reading several scripts that have been sent to me for
consideration in acting and I'm starting to make some decision.
Ghost Town has had a few of its distribution offers bumped up after the good
press we've been getting and a few other marketing angles that we are taking.
Lastly "Book of Ruth" has a Myspace site and I believe a link to a teaser
trailer that we did in one day to show $ backers and a few of our distribution
entities. We are getting ready for the pick up shoot that will also include a
music video shoot.
Good stuff happening!
DJ
PS: Ah...yes! I enourage you all to look at the Leading Ladies page where I
have a special edition with my own webmaster Pepper! Following that will be
some of the biblical women from "Book of Ruth" so enjoy!

November 28th, 2007
I've been kind of slacking on the updates due to the crazy busy holiday times. I
wanted to clue you into a temporary teaser trailer for "Book of Ruth". Peter the
editor and I put the teaser together to show our investors and distributors. The
music is temporarily from "The Passion of the Christ" and I wrote and recorded
the narration with Peter on set. Dennis Therrian, who is being brought on board to
provide the score and sound FX, will replace the music and we will probably redo
the voice over.
Here is a link and be sure to check out the Myspace sites for "Ghost Town",
"GPS", "Book of Ruth" and so on.
http://www.petersassi.blip.tv/
We are getting ready for the Nevada shoot on "Book of Ruth" and we have been
talking music themes and such.
I've been trying to decide on going to India to play a detective in this cool thriller.
For those that know about my leading lady actress page on
www.djperryfanclub.com that Pepper runs, I'm hear to tell you it can help your
career. The producer of Karma is looking at three actresses for the lead role. They
all happen to be friends and former fellow actresses. Good luck to them all!
I also just got sent a book called "They Said "You'll Never Amount To Anything"
Words can Make or Break. Ray my Reel Frog Films producer buddy has this book
optioned for a movie and he is setting it up at a major studio. I will produce and act
in it and I'm looking forward to the read. Thank you Terri Lynn for the book.
We are also trying to focus in on our "Ghost Town" deal. More on that soon.
I know I'm missing out on many updates but this will tide everyone over while I
play catch up.

What a long haul year as we start towards the close of 2007. I've been rolling
with the holidays and really enjoying the season. I finished my WW2 script
that I was working on now we have an FX company looking it over to budget
it. I was looking to shoot it in 2009 but they want to try and shoot it in 2008 so
we will see. I'm getting ready for a busy 2008 and I guess that is a blessing. I
just cancelled a promotional trip Costa Rica in January because Anthem
Pictures will not have the pilot show for "Supermodel Showdown" completed.
It was tied into a film showing of my Anthem Pictures movies and a Playboy
Golf Tourney. I don't play golf really and so I'm passing. Snoop Dog and 50
Cent will have to play the green without DJ "Slice" Perry.
What I do have going on is I'm going to India to meet with a production
company about a slate of US/India films. I'm also playing a detective in a cool
thriller called "Karma" playing a detective named D'souza. That is all I can
say until the production company authorizes me to say anymore. It is a two
week and change trip and I'm looking forward to it.
Shortly after that I'm slated to start shooting the Civil War action drama
"Shattered Glory". I'll be looking forward to working with Samantha, Sam,
Joe and all the fine folks associated with Project 11 Films. Many old friends
will be seen and I'm sure many new friends will be made. That is one of my
favorite parts of this industry.
Following that I have signed onto the SciFi action film "The City of God" and
it looks like it will be an exciting project. They have many good folks in front
of and behind the camera. More on that when it grows closer.
"Outside the Wire", the war documentary that Anthony Hornus is
spearheading is ready to go and just awaiting final military approval.
Shooting has begun stateside and I think this will be a powerful eye opening
film.
I've been busy with a new little lady in my life named Daphne (See photo on
www.djperryfanclub.com/DP.html). Speaking of Leading Ladies, see Rebecca
Holden in that area. I recently worked with her on "Book of Ruth" and many
will remember her from "Knight Rider" or the CDI classic "From Venus".
More updates soon on "Ghost Town" and be sure to watch "Christmas Miracle
at Sage Creek" now playing on Starz!. .
Holiday wishes!

December 18, 2007
It has been a winter wonderland around here in Michigan. That is where we
get our love of coffee and warm slippers. Cold is really only bad when you are
not prepared for it. I did wake up with a sinus headache but the Hazelnut
coffee is helping to take care of that. I've been busy on several fronts. First a
new CDI website will be going up before the New Year. The
www.cdiproductions.com has been outdated and badly in need of a facelift.
Tomorrow is the first of several holiday season gatherings. I'm enjoying the
season and as I wind the year down I'm able to think back and appreciate the
past year. It has been a year full of good things. New friends I've met and
productive things done. Here is a good interview that I just did and it hits on
some of the projects from this fine year.
http://www.scaredstiffreviews.com/news.php?readmore=303
What will the New Year bring? Well I can tell you that a nice selection of
movies will find their way to you audiences. "GHOST TOWN" is now in
negotiations on world-wide distribution. I predict later this year we'll see
"MURDER at HOLLOW's POINT", "GPS", "DOG" and several other
projects. I see groups of artists shooting the stories that we hope to release out
to all of you in 2009.
I'm now working on finishing up the WW1 screenplay "Ace" after the book's
author sadly passed away slowing that project. "Silent Night" the WW2
project I was hired to write is now moving towards production with some
active development. More on this as it unfolds.
I've got all my info to the Indian government via their embassy in Chicago. I
played phone tag with them today but at least I know that all my materials got
there. I'm looking forward to my travels there in January.
I have to finish up some wrapping and such so I will chat with all of you soon.
Happy Holidays!
