It is a funny situation I found myself in last week. Surrounded by my high tech
gizmos I was really wishing I had a stronger processor in this head of mine. My
ATARI brain was working hard to problem solve. I’ve always been very low tech but
I do understand the importance of organization. Ask anyone about the “yellow
brick” cell phone I use to carry. This all comes from a person who still uses yellow
legal pads for my weekly “TO DO” lists. I was given an ipod last year as a gift and I
was able to take all my CD’s and condense them onto the one little gizmo. My
Macbook has replaced my old PC, Palm mini computer for a phone and even a blue
tooth so I look like a “Redneck Lobot” as my brother remarked. I guess that's
because I have this western beard, long hair and a flashing blue light in my ear. I
love the hands free device because I am not a huge fan of phones.
Anyway while trying to sych my Bluetooth Palm with my computer my phone froze
up. Two hours later I had it all worked out but funny how hi-tech the world has
become. It is like Star Trek. But me without a phone or email was...odd.
Speaking on the SciFi tip I’m excited that the last season of Battlestar Galatica starts
tonight. HUGE Star Wars fan from 1977 who was greatly disappointed by the whole
age of Jar Jar. I think FireFly and BSG are the best SciFi out there.
My quick updates…
March 31st GPS the movie on DVD so watch amazon.com
The horror film DOG is done so that means a premiere and then DVD later in the
year.
The 8th Plague is getting a new re-cut and special edition release date so more soon
there.
Book of Ruth is slated for a Spring 09 release. The edit is about complete now and
sound work will soon begin.
Our Dean Teaster’s Ghost Town is heading to foreign markets with Germany being
1st I think. The Special Edition will be for sale at the theme park only this year. I
thank all the support with rougly a half million rentals so far. Sincere thank you!
We are gearing back into a February shoot with Wild Michigan…finalizing all that
this week and calls will soon be going out. A CALL TO ARMS. Funny with this
economy EVERYONE is waiting for that next project and they all lack patience. I
understand because we all fight that demon. I sometimes think folks want you to lie
to them and create hope. I’m not their huckleberry. I got several emails and phone
messages this past week and you know what?…When the biz falls back in line the
show will start. I feel a DOORS song coming on.
The grapevine rumor mill is also a funny and sad thing. I got contacted saying that
production was telling folks to take other work. I've been saying that anyone should
do what they need to do to take care of their business and when we call you can
either work or not. Some folks wanted certain guarantee’s and locked time frames
and guess what NOPE! I want these projects to go more then anyone and I know
that when we launch a project many artists get paid and food gets put on the table.
All good but this will all happen in the due time. All I know is we have a reputation
for getting things done. Things always happen when they are suppose to. Something
akin to fate.
More updates soon!

January 24th, 2009
I’ve just sat down on a Sunday morning with a steaming cup of coffee. Michigan’s
winter is starting to lighten but the cold wind and snow still cover the land. I’ve
spent the last few days fighting a mild cold and resting. Resting for me still includes
much working, as I’m a firm believer that everything you do does come back. Of
course never to take the easy path (I’m in this industry) I’m currently tackling the
largest thing I’ve ever set out to do. I’m a person who strives and doesn’t look at the
downside and distractions that might make most people give up or never try. I’m not
wired like that. I’m also not the most social person anymore I’ve found. I often find
myself looked at as outside the actor pool because I produce, less then a producer
because I act and so I exist as I always have. I have friends and yet I care about the
people around me in our field more then most realize. Why is that? Many have
pointed out that this is seldom a two-way street as I can count on one hand the roles
I’ve landed due to assistance by actor friends. That is okay because I’ve never really
been given anything in this business it has been earned. I’ve been blessed enough
that I’m getting by in this hard economy but I know so many that are not.Not just in
our industry but in all walks of life. It is funny how as we get bigger some folks
forget that we are just a small company that has grown so that we could employee
more and more artists. When someone takes advantage of production they cut at
people personally. I guess it is that slow transition in size as we grow. At www.
cdiproductions.com we have three in-house directors and all three have projects in
the works. We will continue to refine and build our teams of people. I do admire
long-term directors and the cast and crewmates they build around them. It is so hard
because so many people are seeking work. ALL people on both sides of the camera
are looked at for positions and as long as you have never stirred any trouble repeat
work often happens in our circles. I’m still surprised by people that push certain
issues to the point they have to know it is their last ride. I’m not perfect but I always
try to be fair in my doings. I always try to square my actions and stay on the level.
Let’s talk about Wild Michigan. Something special lies in store with this film
because of how hard it has been. We have now set up an email update list that
Lionel our UPM will send out once a week. We had calls just coming from all over
and different incorrect information being passed along. Now we have an official
weekly release. So many issues that we have been overcoming just so a slew of
people can do their jobs. In this situation the BIZ dictates the SHOW and not the
other way around. We always want the best and most people in the business really do
not know all the factors that one deals with. If they did more respect would be
earned versus the often thrown away statement of “A producer on set.” Those
people spent countless hours often for several years to set all the wheels in motion.
I recently worked on a project where I witnessed the disregard to a producer’s hard
work over many years. He made some mistakes but who doesn’t. He put money in
many people’s pockets. That translates to food on their tables. BUT the moment
someone falls short and in this case it has running over budget and monies for a last
check being owed they were ready to stone this guy. I heard the venom on their lips
and I knew that these people did not understand. How easy people forget what they’
ve been given versus what they have not. To me this is part of the change in the
American mindset. YES. People/Producers need to learn and grow from negative
experiences and learn to correct these mistakes. It just reminded me of a “Who will
cast the first stone” situation. I just hope that understanding grows on everyone’s
part and patience is something we can all learn.
Back to Wild Michigan. This is my first time working with an Executive Producer
setting up financing and distribution. It is very hard as I’m use to being the one who
closes deals and makes things happen. I find myself often frustrated but I’m also
learning aspects of the business that were unknown to me. This will be a very joyous
time to all return and finish this project. Everyday we knock down the next set of
issues. We will have to reset our start date to begin X days from money drop. These
are large sums of money being moved about and much harder then most imagine.
I do get the occasional kind email or phone call that offsets the slew of
communication wanting to know when we start up again. IF we have a definite those
people will be the 1st to know but like myself they have not mastered their patience.
I can forgive that I just ask that they follow a communication flow of crew to keys to
AD to UPM. Everyday I have set phone calls, meetings and paperwork. I easily fall
behind on some calls especially ones that have no merit and will not move the whole
project along. That doesn’t mean that those people aren’t important and anyone who
has shared a drink, story and laugh with me knows that I like people. I like to hear
their stories and share in the joint struggle we all follow.
So with Wild Michigan. Often other people with MUCH larger projects then ours
hold the key to our next step, therefore we find our pace slowed. BUT everyday we
are one step closer and as I like to tell myself…”Look behind myself at what we’ve
done prior. They have all been done by persistence and patience” so it will be done
as it has been done in the past. My goal is to be able to launch these projects faster.
So an experiment is what I suggest. If everyone put forth some positive energy
everyday were in prayer or positive visualization send that forth. Everyday I have a
ritual of clarity and I ask that I be given wisdom and patience to make these projects
happen. To help all these people make positive steps in their lives. I dream for a
whole not for myself. My needs are truly few and my wants simple. I always try to be
a sail not an anchor to any project I’m associated with.
March 31st is the release date for “GPS The Movie” and I think it will be a great
project. It was so much fun to shoot and I’m happy the DVD is coming out now. It
can be bought on amazon.com and I encourage everyone to go on the fun and
thrilling treasure hunt!
BOOK OF RUTH is supposed to be completed some time this spring. We are also in
the process of setting up distribution for “Murder at Hollow’s Point” and so I hope to
have new information on that soon.
I’ve completed my first 2009 goal while sick by completing the WW1 Top Gun script
“ACE” while I was sick. I’m doing a once over but I was happy to finish that. I plan
to finish four scripts this year. I will write again soon but I just felt inspired. Here is
a cool little fact. In ROCKY the giant posters of APOLLO and ROCKY was a
happy accident. The printer printed ROCKY from an old conceptual drawing and so
the poster had the wrong shorts. They did not have the money to run another one
and the mistake was on production. Sly worked a scene in where they address that
and the promoter says, “It doesn’t really matter does it.” It made a great statement
about the character and how he was seen. A mistake or shortcoming was turned into
a scene that was truly GREAT! That is what we can all look to do. Work with what
we have even when it appears less and make it into something great. Great minds
can do that. That is why we try to hire great minds.
Have a great week!

January 31st, 2009
It is a snowy Saturday morning sipping coffee and preparing for another week of
battle. We are wrapping up tax business on 2008 and getting things ready for 2009
product. This next project works with the Michigan rebate and so we have an
entirely different accounting or actually payroll flow. In the development phase we
had a few small reporting bumps but now we’ve opened a secondary payroll account.
The business makes the show GO. The hated mantra of many creative artists but
that is the reality. Behind every great endeavors there was a business plan.
CDI www.cdiproductions.com has an entire slate of projects. Some in development
and some in pre-production and some still an idea in someone’s head.
It looks like we might be close to TV license on “Figure in the Forest” and “An
Ordinary Killer” is being re-set for a special release. Foreign and domestic deals are
almost set and it will market with Tony’s book of the same name.
“Outside the Wire” the documentary film of Anthony Hornus that I’ve been working
on has its distribution firming up. It really is powerful! We’ll have some new sites
going up soon so folks can get informed and perhaps act. “Dean Teaster’s Ghost
Town” hot off more than a half million rentals is heading to its first foreign market
in Germany. So fans of the film and those anxiously waiting we soon see Ghost Town
riding into their town!
“GPS the Movie” is now on amazon.com for pre-sale with delivery on March 31st.
I'm excited because I’ve also heard great things about all the extras. I enjoy that
stuff because it reminds us of the filming process which is a wonderful part of this
whole process.
“Murder at Hollow’s Pointe” is officially being renamed BLOOD TIES for both
foreign and domestic sales. Below is the foreign sales link and it also has some
artwork. That looks painful!
Blood Ties (Foreign)

I’m waiting to hear about a premiere for the film “DOG” which should be
entertaining. I also see new artwork for the special edition release of “The 8th
Plague” see

Give them a shout and let them know you want your Plague
My buddy Ben Danielson from 1st grade on had a NFL Lunchbox. The Steelers had
the cool looking helmet. So I say GO STEELERS guys with the cool helmets!

February 14th, 2009
I’m sitting here sipping non-hazelnut coffee and no hazelnut creamer either…BUT
the coffee in its rich state is a tasteful yet bitter flavor. That is kind of how things
have been in 2009. But I would say do not complain about what you don’t have but
what you DO have.
It’s funny that on the large scale I see the national problems as a unifying force. Also
under our new leadership we at least address modern problems more like maybe I
would. In this day and age of media that is often manipulated for the best selling tale
of woe I thinking using it as a link to the people is a positive thing. Let the masses
see auto executives squirm under questions of their A+ transportation. I’m not really
talking about the honest or dishonest exchange of money.
My current reading is all about PIRATES. Very interesting how even governments
will tolerate and support negative groups to get their desired outcome. Does the
means justify an end or does the end just become a stagnate place where one can
stand high and look at the kingdom they’ve ravaged to get to their end? I really love
the journey of our civilization the good and the bad. As a lover of the cosmic or
beyond our earth, I saw from an early age how small we are really in the vast
scheme of things. I think that is why I like being a storyteller.
Funny someone brought it to my attention that a message board debate had my name
used in it but the debate was over profession and is acting a profession? Profession
is a vocation based upon specialized educated training. Vocation is being trained,
suited or qualified for an environment is considered the vocation. Funny that I
guess acting is hard to be a profession because as a vocation you can only qualify
two of the three. You can be trained although many will tell you that it pre-exists in
an artist like a calling. Maybe more like a priestly sort because as a medium the first
story tellers where also the mystics and shaman’s who preached morality and
direction to their tribe.
To be qualified is a unique human trait. Oneself and if they hold faith in their path
self qualify. If an artist approaches any endeavor with a serious intent versus maybe
just a whimsical attitude. Fully believing that they will transport and transform the
minds of others even just a little. Others may or may not think an individual is suited
for a medium of art but that is taste.
IF even one person is changed in some way than I guess that artist or group of
artists were successful. Unfortunately success has become more defined by sales and
how many shells and beads it earns/brings. That is also why people are upset if they
spend one dollar of their earned shells and beads and the art doesn’t move them it
causes some to comment. I have trouble motivating to do certain things they truly
don’t help me. That is honest and I’m talking about people who take the time to
write something negative. It takes as much energy to type something good as it does
something bad. Same process and same symbols typed or written.
Most things that fail my expectations, I just let flow under the bridge. For me to
carve time to be negatively critical makes me take some of that with me. For me I
just feel happy that the folks that put on that performance were doers and not
talkers like many people I met. I’ve felt good that someone took the time to write.
Time is life remember that! Those people are sometimes more generous than I am.
So I do take time to compliment on the things in life that did/do move me. Those
things that I don’t feel moved by keep a congrats on their efforts and encouragement
to keep doing and growing. I think I got this insightful burst because as I was typing
the other night the TV cut in on the plane crash.
For those 40 some people their dreams are done. All that is left are their words,
actions and deeds. So I try to make my words, actions and deeds true. I do fly often
with my business and that crash just again let me know how fast it could all end. So
in wrapping up all these inner thoughts and getting back to movies before you all
say... (I didn’t wanna read no stinking philosophic al BS actor boy!) I think if we
become accountable in our critique of one another and truer in our business with one
another, that things will thrive. I can feel the stirrings of a “Star Trek” world. But in
due course with nature we will just get our stuff together as a loving one world of
people ready to embark upon exploration…BAM! EARTH IMPACTED! We’re back
to one-celled organisms.
In the meantime…
BACK AT THE HALL OF JUSTICE!
The experimental family film “Figure in the Forest” is going to the Trinity Broadcast
Network. Paperwork was signed this past week and materials delivered. The film
stars Dean West (Teaster) and MaryJo Cuppone in the leads and I play a supporting
role with many other CDI favorites in the mix. It was a DOVE FAMILY FILM and
it isn’t a beat you over the head Christian film but rather a very layered drama
piece. The BOOK OF RUTH movie I did with Sherry Morris, Carman, Rebecca
Holden, Lana Wood, Kera O’Bryon, Fred Griffith and ah…tired Bob Shepherd….
can’t remember all…
Okay to see a nice version of this trailer go to www.dennistherrian.com where you
can also see OUTSIDE THE WIRE footage, FIGURE IN THE FOREST, GHOST
TOWN and even my reel. So look for BOOK OF RUTH in the spring.
GPS the Movie! March 31st and I’m excited myself. One it is just a fun movie and
I'm glad I got to see it play in the theaters. Daniel McGill and Paul Proios did a great
job as the leads. I also am excited about the cool extras. I hear they put some real
time into all that.
We watched the old FRIDAY THE 13TH parts 1 and 2 and I can see where the
inspiration for “The 8th Plague” came from. I would love to see that film on FEAR
NET. I’ll pass the new release info when I get it. But the music was done by the
same composer for “DOG” so it will be cool to see what they do.
MURDER AT HOLLOW’S POINTE is officially called BLOOD TIES now and sales
will start soon on foreign and a domestic deal will be made very soon.
We are about to sign our deal on the new release of AN ORDINARY KILLER and
the OUTSIDE THE WIRE documentary. “Dean Teaster’s Ghost Town” has just
returned from a German market and I’ve heard that it did well but I need to
discover what that means. But I think it means fans around the world will get to see
it without having to do an import.
I’m spending some time formatting the second draft of Anthony Hornus and “The
State of Hate” and doing corrections on that WW1 TOP GUN script ACE that I
finished when down with a cold a week ago or so.
So enjoy St. Valentine’s day unless you’re a Druid. Happy Sat!

SNOWY February 21st, 2009
The snow is falling almost white-out in Michigan. I’m drinking my favorite morning
drink even though it is now early afternoon. Busy, busy week with movement on
several fronts in regards to our films. We’ve had new star’s give interest on our
projects and I’ve been putting deals together with our team. The State of Michigan
gave projects an extension due to the mega harsh winter we had/have.
Paperwork was signed and materials delivered on the CDI Film “Figure in the
Forest” directed by “Wild Michigan’s” Jeff Kennedy. It will play on TBN the table
being set by “Book of Ruth” that will eventually make its way to that network. I will
keep people informed. It is a thought provoking little tale of healing and faith. Good
themes in a trying time.
We are about to sign a deal on the re-release of “An Ordinary Killer” and the
“Outside the Wire” series. We are planning 3 films to start in this series. I watched
some promo footage on a huge TV yesterday with new color correction and it looked
great!
We now have an update that goes out every week to 2 weeks on the "Wild Michigan”
project. We are moving now and should have it back on track. I’m as anxious as
everyone else but the trail we are blazing right now is creating a process that should
allow us to just have a production chain. What we are doing now is just the tip of the
iceberg.
Michigan is really coming out swinging to create a new industry and I think it will
work. I know that many folks are really hurting in this economic climate and so
people really have negative filters on. Thanksgiving behind us many people still look
at what they DON’T have versus what they DO have. They remember what they
were NOT given versus what they WERE given.
I know that during the last few months I’ve been less than social on some fronts. My
communication is limited to emails, phone calls, meetings that will move the machine
forward. I don’t spend time on drama, ice-blocks and things that I have no power to
change. It’s like the dog that is fixated looking at a toy that has been put upon a high
shelf. They will spend all this energy and time fixated on something that is just out of
their reach. This same dog could perhaps use that intense focus to lead a sled team
and journey forward.
Now I know that when we can put everything in motion we will help many artists in
our field. We can’t help all of them and so accusations of being overlooked will
always be there. I ask people all over to look at themselves and ask “Are you using
all your talent and skills daily in a way to produce the end results you desire?” I do.
If you truthfully can’t say YES to yourself than maybe this is a time to look again at
your use of time.
THIS is NOT a lazy person’s field. Not as talent or crew and at the end of the day is
that person a ray of light and joy to a project. If you cannot answer this with a YES
don’t expect a long-term career. We don’t live in a perfect world and things have
always gone wrong in every facet of life BUT things also go very right. I guess we
all have that choice to be a half full or half empty person. Also acceptance of blame
and that is not a negative thing. If I am not having the advancement in a certain
area I always give myself an honest evaluation. Am I doing all I can? Am I
overlooking something? Can I work smarter versus harder?
I really don’t take things 100% personal. I can feel insult or frustration but that is
quickly replaced with compassion that some others cannot cope as easily. Mind traps
that we set with our own insecurities and feelings of smallness in a huge
UNIVERSE. Be humbled but also realize that like the butterfly that flaps its wings
and influences storms on the other side of the planet, you too can create change and
it starts with your little wings.
I think it this world market we should all be a touch more modest in our approach.
We are seeing the effects of greed all around us. What I truly LOVE is that we are
living in a world that is truly in change. The future is knocking because the old
world powered by the past in dying. I’m so excited that the solar, wind, hydro…we
can either go down like the Roman Empire crushed under our own glut or realize
where our true merit as a people comes from. It is our art, our actions, our
inventions and our desire to be better people. MONEY cannot buy those things that
are best in life. In this time of need I’ve seen people be closer to one another as
family, friends and associates.
Businesses are hurting but maybe we had too much. Maybe it is about changing what
we are selling and how we are spending. The SUV’s are almost gone and the 6,000
dollar cars from India and China will be coming and unless a new auto company (I
didn’t even mean the Big 3) from the US doesn’t step up that business will be lost. I’
ve driven a Nissan which is Japan and Nashville based I believe. I’ve had family in
the GM family and when you are forced to pay an extra 10k for the same car
basically or one with LESS mileage it just doesn’t make sense.
I think finally we are fixing issues or addressing issues at the core versus reacting to
problems. You can spend forever in reaction or you can spend to correct and for
once I feel we are getting to the core issues. Corrupt politics will be rooted out and
transparency will allow new growth.
To new growth and a new day! Smile because in this hard time we are being forced
to self examine our lives and see the true difference is between what we WANT and
what we NEED. We will all be better people because of it. The second is to self
motivate oneself towards ACTION.
As I prepare to produce a pair of westerns I’m reminded of a simply time. They didn’
t have half or a quarter or an eighth of what we have now. I’m still amazed at the
achievements of histories great men and woman who did so with just a fraction of
what we have now. Think about that. Now might be a good time to garden. Every
try making soap, or wine/beer (my favorite) or pursue some artistic passion. I use to
listen to my grandma’s stories of the Great Depression and I’m not saying that it
wasn’t full of hardship but it helped many to define themselves. Maybe as suffering
grows greater it is harder to turn a blind eye. Maybe as we suffer together the small
things such as taste in music, color of skin, attempted monopoly of faith or lines on a
map of a small planet in a sea of creation. This is our time. From India to Iowa,
Michigan to Mexico we all have hopes, dreams and fears. I can’t help but feel that
this moment that we are now living in what we become past history is a major time
of change, shift in awareness. I’m embracing it and learning from it. Are you? Don’t
miss this unique challenge to KNOW THYSELF.
Happy weekend and let’s get ready
for a great week ahead.

GOOD PEOPLE MAKE BAD CHOICES & SPECIAL FAN DISCOUNTS on
"GPS"!!!!
Building a business model that combines film rebates, distribution guarantees,
foreign pre-sales… I use to read about big filmmakers who missed the simple days
when they started. I remember production on KNIGHT CHILLS, which was CDI’s
1st little film. Home catering, wearing more hats than FLETCH. I loved that most
worked for the passion and the big paydays were $700. As adults we know that we
can’t live on that anymore but I just loved where people’s hearts were at.
We are at a major transition stage as a company now. No longer being in control of
all the variables we are building a production railroad? Highway? The point is we
are establishing the system that we will live under for the next couple of years. A
good producer buddy of mine was commenting on the recession. Film artists are not
new to recession. I should just say artists.
There is a balance between those that try to employee and those whom are employed.
ALL around me is the struggle and I too feel the struggle. A better understanding of
those willing to accept the heavy risks is needed.to encourage EVERY artist to
participate as a producer at least once. I also encourage crew to try acting once or
the actor to try being a grip setting up cable and lights in the blazing heat or frigid
cold.
I’ve made it a mission to try and help out a tribe of artists. To succeed is to put
shells and beads into their coffers. The folks I work with have a track record of
doing this but it is not easy. I guess it is that walk in someone else’s shoes for a while
concept I’m trying to get across. It has never been this hard but we who have lived
for years in a tough environment are suited for such trials.
The temptation is there from desperation to grab what they can. Delirious with
desperation I’ll call it. So dehydrated (broke) that they take off their life jacket and
swim into the sea. Did they see a light or did they just not care anymore what bridges
they burn. IF you are not a producer you are not part of a solution. You are a skilled
tribe of people waiting to be given the opportunity to do your chosen profession.
I too wish I could be at a place where I could just act in film and honestly I probably
could. Easily I could act in a film a quarter and last year I turned down work trying
to fight my way into production on a story I feel very strong about. What can you do
if you are waiting? Patience is the best gift any crewmember can give to producers. I
know patience doesn’t pay bills but if you are not a proactive producer type you have
little choice. You can market yourself and fish for work, casting a net. But there are
others who are out there fighting to create the work.
This said I wish the unions (SAG) would find closure because they are hurting an
industry previously injured by the writer’s strike. I’ve also been witness to good
people making bad choices and taking bad actions because they are scared. I say
scared with compassion not mockingly. Patience, understanding and hard works will
help see us all through. Now onto the movie updates...
On March 31st, 2009 “GPS The Movie” will have its first release nationally. A deal

SCRIPT PRODUCED and TV PLAY!
The warm sip of Hazelnut coffee as the outdoors slowly gets warmer. I’ve been
embracing the challenges and we are close to victory. The state of banks and the
state of SAG have dragged this out but as star talent comes on board and the
possible rewards of our work seen by others…it will soon be so. Development on
many fronts is very exciting as it moves forward. I’m really antsy to get in front of
the camera again and bring some character to life. I’ve been getting some script
work done as I’ve got interest in a few scripts by other production company’s.
A movie entitled “Savage” was shot last year in GA by my friend Bo Buckley who
owns Fearmaker Studios. Many years ago I created the character’s and did the 1st

WORKING HARD…
March 26th, 2009
It is a still a bit chilly in the Michigan and so the coffee does its job. The hints of
warmth have allowed a few grilling opportunities and the cleaning of the lawn and
such. I have to say that I’m happy with a lot of the kindness that I’ve seen people
display towards one another in these harder times. Onto a few updates…
March 31st is the release of “GPS” which truly is a fun movie. It was shot in the
wilds of Seattle and we took over a summer camp while shooting. Beer ping pong
and campfires at night. We had these caterer named Gates who took so much pride
in his preparing off meals. All great people and so I’m excited to see the 2 hours of
extra footage. I know you can buy online, tower records and many other retail stores.
April you can tune your TV to watch “Figure in the Forest” which we gave times for
last update.
May 5th is the special edition release of “The 8th Plague” and also it looks like
August 11th will be the special edition release of “An Ordinary Killer.” On that front
we are doing edits and tweaks to the sequel script “A State of Hate” and that will be
going out to select talent.
All our financial paperwork on our westerns including “Wild Michigan” has been
submitted to our banking sources and we are just waiting for approval like much of
the country. The marketplace taking a positive rise and the effort to get the banks
moving may give us what we need here very soon. In the meantime we are finalizing
the cast lists with our remaining star talent.
More soon.

April 11th, 2009
It is Saturday morning, drinking hazelnut coffee and catching up with all of you. I’
ve grilled the last few days and I’ve been doing some yard work. Good lessons since
I’ve been using this small handsaw. I tackled this large tree that I literally had to get
up into the tree to cut. I’m hugging the tree, leaning out and sawing. An hour of
sawing straight and I was 1/3 of the way into the tree. I don’t have a chainsaw but I
was thinking about it. I tried to trick myself with the pioneer excuse that this is what
“Rugged Bill” would have to do. I sawed until exhaustion, which is a crazy feeling.
Every muscle in my body just screamed. I wanted to stop. I was thirsty and blisters
were forming on my hands. Somehow this simple act of the tree reflected something
about my character. I KNEW that despite my inner complaints I could not and
would not quit. I dug down deep and found reserves of strength and I sawed like a
mad man. Michigan use to be the timber trade and I pleaded with the tree to let go
of this dying arm. The removal of shade would provide amply light for a garden.
Finally a CRACK! The large limb fell touching the ground but a good forth of it was
still connected to the tree. It was still hanging on and so was I almost six feet up in
this tree. I tried to maneuver the saw to cut the last connecting fibers. How often do
we hang onto negative dying parts of our life? To grow (a garden) something must
die. (The dying limb)… What do we cling to that holds us back from our goals? In
two and a half hours sawing many Zen karate kid sayings cross your mind. You feel
intimate with that tree. So I went and fueled up on H2O and went to my trunk and
got a camp axe. I climbed up that tree and showed that I could swing that axe like
Lizzie Borden or Mason (The 8th Plague)
Good jump off point…"The 8th Plague" will enjoy a special edition release on May
5th, 2009. It is up on amazon.com and I’m excited to see what Two For Flinching
did with the movie and what extras they added.
EXTRAS! “GPS the Movie” came out March 31st and I have to say what a great two
hours of extras to go with a very good indie action/thriller. Eric Colley and Hallie
Shepherd are good filmmakers and I’m excited to see what is next for them? Us?
I wanted to also give folks a look at a trailer for a movie I did a few years ago with
director Mike Kallio. He is looking to finish it up and get it out there.
SURVIVE

“Figure in the Forest” plays TBN starting this month and already has dates for May.
The month of May will also be the premiere for “DOG” a horror movie that I did a
role in for an old writer buddy from “In the Woods” days. The sad part is that an
actor friend of the producers who was a …sidekick was tragically killed last
Saturday in a car crash. I only met him that day and we did a really funny mock
interview but again it reminds us to enjoy the show. The business is important but
once the curtain falls it is the show that people will remember and the biz no longer
applies to he who has departed.
We have a bank processing the “Wild Michigan” paperwork and we have been
locking in final cast. Folks will start to notice some names appearing and we have
some PR announcements being assembled. We are financing two movies at once
here. The second feature is “Timberwolf” which will be Dean Teaster’s 2nd director
gig and his first solo. Jeff Kennedy who co-directed “Dean Teaster’s Ghost Town” is
directing “Wild Michigan” that we are working to have go up in May. Updates to
cast and crew as soon as we can get a timeline from bank and Bond Company.
Also “An Ordinary Killer” the movie shot before G- Town was directed by Jeff
Kennedy and Anthony Hornus is getting a reboot. A limited theatrical, Blue-Ray,
DVD, book and soundtrack with the E1 Entertainment, a media conglomerate. We
are excited and the home video release will be in September. Furthermore a sequel
script that follows my detective Lynn Kendall is completed and is being polished as
we speak. It will be a 2010 shoot with Anthony Hornus directing solo.
I have some other great projects beyond the CDI realm for acting approaching. One
that I will be doing some PR on is the announcement of me jumping into comedy. I
have a project with some notable comedic personalities that I’m attached to. More
on that soon.
“Silent Night” and “Holly, Jingles and Clyde” are at a major agency and studio for
consideration. Others are in full development and some great actors are seeing the
work. “Make my words!” (Canada’s “Trailer Park Boys” WATCH IT!)
CDI will end up with a studio deal in the next couple years if not sooner. The
hardships we all face are like that big tree. Maybe all we have is a small handsaw
and our blood, sweat and tears. BUT when you have persistence you will achieve
your goals. Does it all happen within our patience and projected timelines? No. So
everyone grab your handsaw, look at the dead parts of your personality or lifestyle
and get sawing. Only once you remove the shade blocking your sunshine will you
achieve the growth you have earned. Note I did not say deserve I said earned!
Have a great weekend and be the creator of your own change.

SEEDS are SPROUTING!
Michigan is balancing between spots of rain and sunshine galore. I actually got
sunburn on Friday because we did a meeting on a patio for two hours. I don’t burn
easy at all but Friday was just beautiful. So life is moving along great and I’m
waiting on dates from our bank. The two westerns we have been so hard at work on
have just about been cleared for take-off. The wonderful news with SAG has also
been a bright spot and I hope all the members will see that we need to move forward
and get production moving. It is hard enough on working actors without adding the
lack of production due to fear of striking. We have been in steady talks and are
nearly ready to finalize offers on key talent. “Wild Michigan” will be up first and so
the wheels are gearing back up here. Also my fellow producer Tony Hornus had ten
minutes with our state Governor Jennifer Granholm on Friday and our state
incentives are not going anywhere on her watch. She fully realizes that the film
industry is the one place where Michigan is seeing exciting growth. So with that said
let’s make Michigan HOLLYWOOD IN THE HEARTLAND!
Here is an exciting showing on “GPS the Movie” in Hollywood. If you are in the area
it is worth seeing on the big screen!
GPS the Movie
Synergy-LA.com sponsored screening at THE IMPROV, Sat May 2nd at 8162
Melrose Avenue, Hollywood – cocktail hour 3-4pm and movie starts at 4pm
(Admission is FREE)

I also signed onto the comedy “The
Science of Cool” playing a character
called “Smitty” and I’m looking forward
to having some fun onscreen. Jason
Mewes and Mischa Barton just added
onto the cast and it should be a great
experience. I think “Tangy Guacamole”
was my last true comedy.
www.djperryfanclub.com is updating and undergoing changes with the first being a
NEW LEADING LADY! She is the beautiful and fantastic actress who plays “Ruth”
in the soon to be released “Book of Ruth”…so check her out and stay tuned for
release info!
I’ve been doing some writing, editing, writing, editing and that has kept me busy.
May 5th, 2009 is the Special Edition release of “The 8th Plague” and I’m excited to
see what TWO FOR FLINCHING did with it all. FIGURE IN THE FOREST
directed by Jeff Kennedy and starring Dean West (Teaster) starts its television run
this week. It is a series of late night showings designed to inject some hope into those
late night owls. So I may have to stay up and watch one night just for fun. Smart dog
in that film. That Perry actor could have learned something from that dog. Speak!
Stay! Action! Cut! Wait a minute! That is like a dog.
Lastly I have a HUGE interview coming out soon in Rogue Cinema a large online
magazine. They interviewed me in 2005 and this was an in-depth talk on many
projects. They sure do their homework and the interviewer Herbert had some great
questions. I will surely put the link in an update as soon as it posts.
Personal note…our indoor soccer team is undefeated with one game to go. We are
getting ready to start our outdoor season. I hope we can transfer our game outdoors.
Until next time everyone be cool to one another!

"Movie incentives and moon mountains"
The coffee is flowing on this wonderful Sunday morning. Yesterday was working and
grilling (jerk chicken) which is kind of like chilling. The patio lights were put up and
just getting ready for summer entertainment. We finished our indoor soccer season
on our Men’s league undefeated after some strong competition. We have our 1st
outdoor game today so we will see if we can carry that outdoors. Okay onto the
movie updates before I start talking about raking or lawn mowing.
On the state of Michigan. Our fellow
producer Tony Hornus had a few
minutes with Michigan Governor
Jennifer Granholm and she stated that
no adjustment will come to the tax
incentives on her watch. It is a growing
industry and Michigan needs that. So
don’t fret any changes for a few years.
The horror film “DOG” makes its first appearance at the Bare Bones International
Film Festival and wins Best Actress Michelle Page and Best Editing. Later this
month will be the official premieres in Jackson Michigan so I hope to attend one.
I hear that we might be close to a domestic US deal on “Blood Ties” which will be
great to get that out to the fans. As for “GPS” that released recently and “The 8th
Plague SE” that releases Tuesday the 5th has been a media explosion. Here are some

To support the new release here is the new GPS trailer:
http://www.ncompassonline.com/video/misc/gpsthetrailer.mov
Also “Figure in the Forest” started playing the TBN network and I’ve heard from
fans who have enjoyed that. We might be opening up on many of our films to foreign
territories. Many exciting updates soon.
On the western front the exciting news is that we are now directly up under
Vivendi/Universal which will really help especially on marketing and PR. Even some
talks of theatrical beyond a small limited but we will see how it all washes in the end.
I’m just excited that we are at final casting and are about to get back at it. It will be
worth the wait in the end. Good things seldom come easy.
Last thing to note…I looked through a new telescope that I acquired used but I
never used and I saw the mountains on the moon for the 1st time. I read that in the
booklet and I thought “Yeah right, like the seamonkey circus.” But after much tweak
and focus there is was! It started with a blur of light and with some patience it came
into crystal clear view. There is a zen lesson in there somewhere. Dare to dream.
Seek that clarity where others can not. See the mountains on the moon!
Have a great week.

June 5th, 2009 –
“Snatch the pebble”
I never would have thought that I would be sitting here writing about the
death of a childhood hero. I also never quite imagined that I would have
gotten to know him. Two “Night of 100 Stars,” one Hawaiian Tropic deal and
of course “Miracle at Sage Creek.” One of my fondest memories was we both
went to take a desert pee behind a location set. Let me clarify that I didn’t
know he was in the same brush until like a Shaolin he appeared. We started
talking about Robert his little brother and his race car passion. We talked
about our mutual friend Dan Haggerty and so the 1st AD came over to “find”
David and he finished his story. Sometimes he would talk at great lengths and
he could sure tell a story. Other times he would answer like Caine from
“Kung Fu” a question more than an answer. Last time I saw David was at the
NIGHT OF 100 STARS event and he was happy to us. What a career he had
and while I had ideas of additional work together I’m thankful that we had
our times. Last week Russ Stine, David this week…goes to show that life is
special and live each day. Be happy with what you have and not always what
you do not. Snatch the pebble quick as you can. With that, it is time to leave.

New leading ladies coming to the fan site. Claudia Ciesla (Karma) and Lana
Wood (the legend) coming soon! Right now the star of “Book of Ruth” Sherry
Morris. I hear the film is in post sound. Now speaking of “Karma” PR
EXPOLOSION following Canne. I’ve seen two trailers posted all over India

May 31st, 2009 - What we leave behind…
With all the hardship we face in our business many people ask why we do what we
do? Good question. I’ve heard it described as working twice as hard for half as
much and that is only once actors/filmmakers get off the zero mark and start really
making a paycheck. Up until that you have a hobby. That is why it was so important
for us at CDI to pay folks even when it was such a small amount because we only
had a 60k budget or less. Now that those times are long gone I still miss the passion
overdrive at which we all worked for such little money. Now there are always the
few good folks who feel that somehow they are owed a few extra dollars here or
there. I do understand passion doesn’t pay the rent☺ But it is nice when you can
help people start to feel and become professionals.
The appreciation and admiration I have for everyone in our industry for following
that rough road is great because at the end of the day after all the haggling and
negotiation…we love making movies.

I guess my mind is on that because of
some recent losses of a funny uncle of
mine, a friend’s father and a great actor
and friend Russ Stine. Russ stepped in
last minute on “Judges” as Father Kane
and he was exactly how I pictured the
character. He LOVED westerns and I
know he loved working on “Dean
Teaster's Ghost Town” as the calm, cool,
and Confederate Ex-General. He was
looking forward to doing another
“Judges” movie and will be seen in the
upcoming “Book of Ruth” movie.
While his good friend Terry Jernigan said folks called him the “Grumpy Man of
Comedy” I always knew him as the kind man with a genuine smile and powerful
voice. He was also the narrator for our animated feature “The Patchwork Girl of OZ”
movie. He will be greatly missed.
“I still be hearing the echo” – Gen. Martin “Ghost Town”
Onto other issues. Friday was the premiere of “DOG” at the beautiful old Michigan
Theater in Jackson. Good CDI support for Tony Hornus who gives a great
performance and our associate John Demarco played a role and yours truly had one
really funny scene. My long time friend and post-production supervisor Dennis
Therrian did not recognize me until the credits roled. I thought that was great OR he
had too many beers at our pre-dinner☺ Here is my funny story from that night. So
one featured actor has a great line after he is attacked and without giving any
spoilers away he lost his dick (penis)…this is a horror film for those just catching up.
So my character bought a skull from the bad guys in a funny little scene so at the
after party I found myself standing next to the guy who exclaimed in the movie
“Where’s my dick?”…so he is bearded now but I recognized him…he turns to me
and says, “Bought any skulls lately?” and I say, “Find your dick yet?” he looks
confused and says, “Excuse me?” and I say, “Aren’t you the dude who lost his dick
in the movie?” Long short was that he wasn’t.
Thankfully he had seen the film and so that was funny.
Great group of guys that I’m sure will build a solid career in this industry. It is
making the festival rounds so look for DOG!
Other updates include PART 1 of a 2 part interview in BETTERSELF. They liked
my rambling blogs so I was asked to do an interview.
http://www.betterself.net/blogs/betterself.php
At Canne “Karma: Crime, Passion, Reincarnation” has created quite a splash. They
say the road was set with SLUMDOG (Very good film!) but the PR exploded and I
was told that it will open in 3,000 to 4,000 screens in India/Asia and other theatrical
deals are set for countries around the world. I hearing October for the US theaters
and I hope to know more soon.
“An Ordinary Killer” will have another small theatrical run before an October
DVD/Blueray release. "Blood Ties" also has a domestic deal and may also be an
October release so a very busy fall. We hope to be in production on our second
western at that point. This whole “Wild Michigan” delay may be personal hell but
for the company we are making a deal that could be the future of CDI for the next
couple years. They are talking a possible theatrical of up to a 1,000 screens.
So I will promise to keep everyone updated. We are ready to move forward. This
whole studio system is a new beast. I have my chair and whip so lets get cracking!
DJ

SO SAY WE ALL…updates!
Friday is the start of a nice long weekend and I have hot coffee in hand. Anyone
want to guess what flavor? Hazel…okay you know! Lots of great updates so I will
get right to it…
First it was brought to my attention that the cool JUDGES comic with me as a
graphic character BUDDY COLT can be seen here…enjoy!
http://www.drunkduck.com/Judges_The_Movie/index.php?p=247202
Speaking of comics last weekend was a trip to the comic con to meet with my dear
friend Lana Wood who was meeting with fans. She looked great and we got to go
have a wonderful dinner. At the con I had the chance to meet some great famous
actors such as Tyler Mane’s ex wrestling partner Kevin Nash, Erin Gray, Taimak
(The Last Dragon) whose movie I enjoyed growing up. SHO NUFF! The highlight
had to be the after party where the opportunity to have a few drinks with Michael
Hogan of “BattleStar Galactica” fame. We hung with Nate Quinn and even had a
filmed roadtrip☺ So say we all!
We got to see Tim, James, Jeff and the “DOG” gang who were promoting
alongside the filmmakers putting a project together called “Gothic V” and they are
courting me for a pretty cool role. I’m waiting to see the new draft of their script.
Here are a few updates on “DOG”…
(From Dead Mouse Productions)
As you all know, we're gearing up for the big, World Premiere on May 29th! Well, if
that isn't groovy enough, I would like to announce that 'DOG' will be making it's
official UK Premiere, at GoreZone Magazine's:
Weekend of Horror on October 31st!!!!!!
'DOG' will be one of 14 films, to screen at the prestigious Prince Charles Cinema, in
the heart of London's West End.
With that said...to all of our fans abroad, we certainly hope you attend the festival
and show your support for 'DOG,' GoreZone and Independent Cinema! =D
Thanks so very much and hope to see you at the premiere!!!
James and The Dog Pound
GoreZone Weekend of Horrors
ALSO we look like we might be closing in on a TV deal for “Heaven’s Neighbors” a
truly beautiful little film by director Jeff Kennedy. I’m hearing rumors of “Book of
Ruth” being completed in June.
It looks like the reboot of “An Ordinary Killer” will be a DVD/Blueray release
October 13th, 2009 following a limited theatrical release. Tony’s book will be part of
the release rollout. More on this release very soon. E1 Entertainment are cutting
trailers now and websites, myspace sites and such are coming!

The pieces are coming together on “A State
of Hate” a follow-up story with detective
Lynn Kendall. Location scouting and
casting for a 2010 shoot are underway.
Also on Myspace, a new CDI Productions
website is now up. It is in 1st position on my
personal Myspace site.
“Dean Teaster’s Ghost Town” is going to be everywhere up at the
www.ghosttowninthesky.com theme park which opens this weekend! A museum,
merchandise (I want to see fan pics w/ Ghost Town wear on) and of course the site
itself is special. You can see where we filmed. The movie is at the Canne Film
Market and so we will see what countries adopt our film.
I had a chance to watch the new special edition of “The 8th Plague” and it looks
great! It has been re-mastered and enhanced and really looks cool with a great
commentary by Two-For-Flinching Productions! Check it out!
“Karma, Crime, Passion, Reincarnation” www.karmacpr.com has been playing
theatres in Mumbai, India and we can only hope it makes it to the US soon!
Vivendi/Universal Pictures will be the distributor for “Wild Michigan”
and I’ve been informed that they want a theatrical release. So it is being evaluated
to see how many screens will be committed. This new deal should carry off to
“Timberwolf” and our whole slate of films. We are DYING to get our timeline from
the bank and bond company. It will be worth the wait but damn we are ready to
shoot this film! Lana Wood wanted to stay but I had to tell her soon.
I’m sure I missed a few updates but I will write again soon!

Eight O’Clock am and the coffee is hot and the career of Stephen Speilberg is being
shown on biography. We all enjoy awards and recognition. It feels one way from
fans and another from peers. I’ve written before about watching people cry while
they watched “Wicked Spring, ” laugh at “Heaven’s Neighbors” and cringe in “An
Ordinary Killer.”
Our projects have won and been nominated for several awards but I have trouble
getting them posted on IMDB but recently I was given an award and trophy from
SKYFEST 1 a festival for script and film. They gave me a career award for
everything I’ve done up to now. It felt good and it caused me to pause and reflect. I
want to thank SkyFest and all involved!
http://skyfest.net/index.php?idv
This week has been meetings with the studio and banks and I feel for the several
actors trying to get their schedule straight. That reminds me of a recent story.
I find mushrooms fascinating both in how they grow and their uses. There exists
Fungus miles across that has forest growing on top of it. They are discovering
cancer-fighting properties and for a variety of taste they are hard to beat. I have
been talking for a few years about going morel hunting. A rare and tasty shroom that
is prized by hunters. So I’m trimming some trees and I kicked something. I look
down and behold! A Morel! I ended up finding twenty one of these and some were
grilled and some were pan fried. Both were good. I’m drying a few now and as I
looked at them something occurred to me. The mushrooms found me. Something I
had talked about FOUND ME.
I guess I’ve talked about persistence and determination but when you are following
your heart and doing something you FEEL you must do we see fate and destiny come
together. To recap FATE (Like the ancient Greek crones three) they tend the threads
of those external elements that effect our lives. DESTINY is something that comes
from within. An almost instinctual drive to be or do something. When destiny and
fate align we will see manifestations come to us. Patience is the enemy and the job is
to stay positive and use your energy is a constructive way. IF you have done what
needs to be done DO SO as a pulse! Release it and allow it to work. The watched pot
never boils analogy comes into play here. He you keep your focus like a RAY you will
soon tire. So have FAITH is yourself and your path and allow the energy to work.
Movie updates!
“DOG” premiere May 29th, 7:00pm and 9:00pm in Jackson, Michigan.
“Book of Ruth” is in post sound work and music composition so that will be exciting
to see finished.
“Savage” is close to done!
Closing on a distribution deal with “Blood Ties”
“Karma” had a showing in Mumbai last week and I think has another this week. It
will make it to US shores soon.
“The 8th Plague Special Edition” was released May 5th and “GPS” is also making
the rounds with fans.
The North Carolina travel board is highly promoting folks to come to the www.
ghosttowninthesky.com theme park and see where we filmed “Dean Teaster’s Ghost
Town” they also have a museum there and all kinds of movie merchandise so a trip
to Maggie Valley, NC will be well worth it.
A good week to all and be productive!

ANOTHER YEAR ON PLANET EARTH! (Almost)
Last night I heard the BIGGEST thunderclaps in my 38 years ! It woke me up at
4:30am and I immediately thought a bomb or plane crash. Thankfully it was neither.
It was ground shaking like the Earthquake I felt recently in LA and so we have been
getting rain, rain and more rain. That is great for the garden. Fierce battles, sheets
of rain…let it all rage because the seeds are sown and the sprouts are growing. So
is the way of CDI.
The SAG strike issue has been put to rest and I now see movement on many fronts.
That is one giant problem down and a few more to go. I can name many great things
underway and yet we still struggle on a few other fronts. There is one person not
directly in our organization short on honesty and has caused much damage and
delay. Legal action was almost called into play and isn’t off the table but that doesn’t
get anyone where they want to go. The goal of CDI as a company is to find
distribution partners where everyone can benefit. I think we are getting where we
need to go. “Wild Michigan” is in the system at a major studio and they will be
participating. We have other territories wanting to take part and so I’m confident
the day will come where we look back and think, “That project was a bitch to
launch!” I had a goal of rolling cameras by June 23rd my B-Day. That isn’t going to
happen unless I go shoot something handheld in my backyard. I try to think of how
blessed we are to be working within the studio system after many years outside it. I
do appreciate it but the ride here could have been much smoother. Our packaging on
a whole slate of films is going great and the new deals will benefit them all.
I’m trying to negotiate other acting projects but there is a black cloud on the
schedule. I guess as I watch Iran news of people fighting our small battle seems less
troublesome. We will get that film launched and I’ll attach to the projects I’m
supposed to film on.
September/October is going to be a BIG month for me with releases. Both “Blood
Ties” (Horror) and “An Ordinary Killer” will be released into limited theaters in
September and both hit DVD on October 20th, 2009. Please go to the Myspace fan
pages below and ADD so we can keep you updated on all news.

The “Karma” machine keeps rolling in theaters in India and also played China on
Sunday, Monday at the Shanghai Film Fest. Rumor is that itwill also be coming to
USA in October so we will see. Here are two cool clips that have to do with the film.
I want to reach out to the Indian film community here in the USA and India. We are
truly building bridges.

I will soon have some exciting news on a few scripts that are moving into phases of
pre-production. One is the WW2 POW movie in Iowa. I did the 1st six drafts of the
script and also a sword and sorcery script I penned way back in the day when I
worked with Katharsys Pictures. I did an update and a deal is being made in the UK
for production. I also got word that a TV pilot I did a few years back might be
getting picked up and developed into a series. It is a comedy and so I’m excited by
the possibilities of doing that.
Final note is we won our 1st soccer match last week and another battle on Sunday.
I’ll prepare to have a good week as I add another year on the “I made it this many
years on planet Earth.”
Have a great weekend!

It has been HOT in the Michigan but yesterday and today have been cooler with a
nice breeze. The garden crops are coming up in a healthy way and I’ve been keeping
busy. It is too bad we lost three entertainers. (Ed McMahon, F. Farah, M. Jackson) I
feel worse that Iran’s plight has been put on the back burner. Let’s get to a few
updates…
I was told that “The 8th Plague” will go to VOD serving 10 million households in
September and they are working on Comcast VOD for November that serves 40
million households. Also they are looking at a couple Cable Networks. That would be
great!
Deals are being worked on various CDI films for TV play since I truly feel VOD is
the way of the future. Wild Michigan has circumvented a few hold up issues and we
hope to get that project back on track soon. This is important because we have other
CDI projects coming together to follow.
I’m told “Karma” which has been playing theaters in India will play a big festival in
Brazil. I’m told it will come to the US in October. Also OCTOBER 20th is a big day
because I have two films I co-starred in releasing. The 1st in the long awaited major
release of AN ORDINARY KILLER and the horror film BLOOD TIES. Add them on
MYSPACE! Go to my MYSPACE site and add the two new sites. Lucky folks in
certain areas will be able to catch those two films on the big screen!
I’ve been negotiating my next few acting projects outside CDI’s slate. I’ve got a
handshake deal on one film that I will be announcing once the ink is dry. I’m told
that BUDS (A great script) and THE SCIENCE OF COOL (Funny) are moving
forward with their funding and so I’ll be doing some time of those two films. You
will be hearing more about these projects as they progress.
I’ve been recently approached by two different producers about scripting westerns.
So if all goes well I may be pounding some keys and making movies in my mind☺ I
do love writing and I’ve been working on a few of my own projects. One sword and
sorcery script I penned many years ago was given an update and might go into active
pre-production sometime later this year for a 2010 shoot. Very exciting times as a
writer.
We hope to get “Dean Teaster’s Ghost Town” out to foreign fans here soon and I will
see where we are at with TV deals. I know the ON DEMAND has been on-going but
I would love to see it on a few other stations.
Well I know I’m missing things but the coffee effects are slow this morning. I’ll
think of other updates later in the day I’m sure. We will try to follow up on our
previous soccer victory and also we hope the US National team kicks ass!
Have a great weekend!
