As the Cowboy
rides... long after the
Sunset... into the
Movie Zone...
DJ's  JOURNEY
April 2nd, 2005
After a wild night of rolling on the town with my old friend Jack Daniels and an
assortment of personalities, I sit with my coffee writing to you.  Lots of
developments going on in the movie world.

They have wrapped on
MIRACLE AT SAGE CREEK and so that will move nicely
into post-production.  Thadd is assisting on our packaging of
WILD MICHIGAN.
I finished our budget, we are running casting by certain companies and preparing
to present to our investor.

Three other films are rolling down development alley and they all really have
strong potential.  It will make up most of the CDI slate for 2005/2006.  Lionheart
Filmworks has a proposal for another co-production on the table and we should
find out some info from that very soon.

We await the
KNIGHT CHILLS and FROM VENUS release in June, 2005 and also
they will be going to a pay-per-view downloaded site later this year.  That is part
of a new Broadband network that will be launching with different genres on
demand.  I have been asked to be a "host" for this new network doing interactive
introductions for Mysterys & Thrillers, Westerns, Military and Romance.  It could
be a very exciting project and it includes 3 major online companies.  I will not
mention their names on here because it is not my place to do so.  When they do a
press release, I will let everyone know.  I'm told, they will reach 80+ million
people.  That can't be bad exposure.

I'm close to finalizing an agreement on a movie for late Summer.  Just going over
deal points with them.  I also got a few other emails/calls on movie roles this week.
So, I'm reading a few scripts and trying to lock a few deals down.  Also looks like
we might
FINALLY have a go on CROSSING THE KING'S HIGHWAY next week.
They are back into casting and some good names are flying around for co-stars,
but again until that lands, I cannot spill any beans.

We have an agreement on the table for the two family films
FIGURE IN THE
FOREST
and HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS.  It is a genre that you really have to get
into the mix with.  The film
LOSING GRACE, that I acted in and helped produce
in Atlanta, is getting a US release via
Koan Films.  You can see a sample poster art
here.  They have renamed it
CRUSHED and I will keep you informed so ya'll can
go rent/buy it when it comes out.

BEYOND ORDINARY is doing just fine and we are learning a lot from the self
distribution that we can apply to our other deals.  Sales are past manufacturing
and so we should sell out the 1st run.  They can be bought locally at CLASS
Agency in Lansing, Meijer's & Sam Goodie in the Owosso area and a few other
niche outlets here and there.  It was great just to get that work out there.  The real
story is very fascinating and the actual footage of the serial killer's sentencing is
just chilling.

The full feature is being ran by a major studio this coming week and we also have
one other major US distributor looking it over.  We are all anxious to get this
puppy out there and everytime we get ready to sign... another interested party
pops up and so we are trying to make the best deal for this film.
NEWS:
Tony Hornus does want to do another follow up movie based on the Lynn
Kendall
character entitled AN ORGANIZED OFFENDER... so this could become
a franchise.

Speaking of...
JUDGES is COMPLETED and shopping is about to begin.  They
are looking for a location for the premiere.  You can stay updated on the
www.judgesthemovie.com site.  It was very exciting to see it with all the sound, the
score, the opening credits!  I'm proud of the work and proud of
Stephen Walker
for making one hell of a good 1st feature.  I look forward to working with him
again in
JUDGES 2 or whatever may come up.

The horror/thriller/slasher
GPS is deep in editing.  I heard that they plan to release
the finished trailer here online sometime soon.  I've heard great things from the
post people and having been there and knowing the cast, crew and the action
stunts involved, it should thrill audiences late this year.

THE PATCHWORK GIRL OF OZ is moving along and this coming week we will
get to hear some of
Dennis Therrian's great music put to picture.  I think that this
film is the 1st of several animation movies we will get involved with.

Just have to finish up those taxes as shooting in Arizona put me behind schedule.

Thank you all who show your love and support.

Sunny Day!  Sitting here at Fort Perry, drinking the java, eating a few cinnamon
rolls that Adam made this morning.  Myke Michaels, a make up artist in L.A. sent
me a funny saying that basically said, "But Life's Journey should not have you
arriving at the end in a well preserved body by sliding in sideways in a well worn
body saying... WHAT A RIDE!"  It is funny only because it really makes some
sense.  I also saw a Joseph Campbell quote that said, "A Hero is a person who
pursues his passion no matter where it takes him."  I think this will go on my
resume.  I like that and it sums up where I'm coming from.  It is why I'm not
really phased by any of the negative feedback.  My father was hesitant to support
the movie thing at first and when I first started with even the idea of doing movies,
people laughed.  Some people mocked the idea outright and some in more hidden
ways.  As the dream became more concrete the laughter grew more and more
quiet.  These people feed me everytime I read or hear something negative because
I know I don't want to end up like them, a bitter person with repressed unfulfilled
dreams.  Not everyone is like that and many are very content with their lives and I
love the fact that they can and do find happiness in their own way.  The point is
that one must seek to be content with the self.  Movies for example are just one of
my creative outlets and a medium that I enjoy for storytelling.  Much like the old
Greek Myths, the journey that I'm compelled to take creates an interesting life
that has its own trials and tribulations.  You must find something you love to do
because it is all work but if you love it then it doesn't feel like work.  It then
becomes more a labor of love.

Met with some people yesterday over a music video.  I've been wanting to produce
one for a while and this might be a prefect opportunity.  It is a very strong,
upcoming band that is opening for national acts and they MARKET!  The
business is so important to making things go in this business.  I will update more
on that but I do think it is a GO.

Waiting to hear from a major studio on
AN ORDINARY KILLER.  I was recently
approached by a very established music writer/producer now turned movie
producer, about assisting with a few of his projects.  He has a 1st look deal with a
major studio and he liked both
AN ORDINARY KILLER and JUDGES so they will
be getting a big look and we might hear something even as soon as today on
AOK.
It only takes a small spark to start a fire.

We have signed our rep deal on
FIGURE IN THE FOREST and HEAVEN'S
NEIGHBORS
and so the pitches will begin.  Brain Damage Films was inquiring
about a push on release dates for
FROM VENUS and KNIGHT CHILLS but
unless they have a good reason I don't think the investors will let them out of their
obligation to release by June.

Heard the music for the first few scenes of THE PATCHWORK GIRL OF OZ and
it was WONDERFUL!  Not that I should expect anything less from Dennis
Therrian but I love when music is added to a project.

I have started work on
MOVIE MAGIC IN MESCAL: The Making Of Miracle At
Sage Creek
" for Talmarc Productions.  Gregg McNeil shot it and Anthony Hornus
(Co-Director "
AOK") directed it.  It will have great interviews with all the stars
and the filming of the family western.

Speaking of... things are rolling GREAT on
WILD MICHIGAN and I hope to have
some exciting updates there for you.  I also got a behind the scenes of
GPS the
action/thriller, that I Co-Produced on and played the antagonist "
Sam".  They
think it looks great and I may have a trailer sitting in my mailbox as we speak.

Got approached by a few more movie companies.  Read a cool thriller that they
are shooting in Chicago and really liked it.  I got approached about another
action picture and so I will have choices which is always a good thing.

More later,

I think we have all our business tax stuff finally wrapped up.  I'm sitting here
typing on yet another beautiful day.  Spent the beginning of the week cleaning up
the yard on Fort Perry.  When I bought the place it had a few thousand dollars
worth of landscaping done with flowers, plants and all this other stuff.  If you read
my journal concerning my garden last year then you know I'm not an ace
gardener.  But now I have it mostly cleaned up and the patio is primed and ready
for "CHILLIN' and GRILLIN' "!!!

Updates are many so let me see what I can remember... (come on coffee)

This was emailed from Director Roger Spendlove.

"Justice for All" has been accepted for screening at the OTIS Film Festival!

Saturday, April 16, 2005
7:00 p.m.
Regent University
Communication and Performing Arts Center
Main Theatre

Everybody's invited to attend.
Or, if you can't make it, the ReelGoodTV Internet television station is broadcasting the event and all
films LIVE on the Web at:
www.ReelGood.tv

This fesitval uses audience voting to determine the winning films, so come and vote for the best film
you see!

So there is that!  JUDGES, has a Virginia Premiere date of June 5th, 2005 at 7:00
p.m. at The Naro Theater in Ghent
.  See www.judgesthemovie.com website for
more info.  I also had the fun of watching
JUDGES projected on teh big screen at
the NCG theaters in a small private screening.  I wanted to see how it played on
the big show.  it looked VERY GOOD :-)  I hope some of you can make it to the
JUDGES screening!

Saw the "Behind The Scenes" and "trailer" for
GPS, the Movie!  This
action/thriller looks really good and I'm excited to see the final product.

Talked with
Brain Damage Films and we want to hold the KNIGHT CHILLS,
Special Edition to release with the new "
Dungeons & Dragons" movie which I hear
on good source is MUCH better than the previous one.  Also we want to hold
FROM VENUS on domestic a few months longer while the studio system clogs the
rental market with their releases.  We have sold UK for both films and those check
are here next week.  We also have sold both to a Thai company and they are
knocking down more countries as we go here.  So other countries may be getting
the films first.

The two family/dramas
FIGURE IN THE FOREST and HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS
are with
Needle & Associates and we'll see where they end up.

Sales on
BEYOND ORDINARY have been very good.  We are starting to get
numbers in now.
THE PATCHWORK GIRL OF OZ music is moving right along
and as I said before, I'm loving what I see.

I've been approached on two more films as an actor and I plan on meeting with a
director here soon.  Whould know more on two others end of the month.  AH!!! A
script that I was a writer on has been offered an option to buy and so I'm
negotiating on that right now.

Waiting to hear on
AN ORDINARY KILLER and JUDGES from our studio source
and so we'll see...

Development on
WILD MICHIGAN is moving very quickly and so we will keep
rolling with all that.  To everyone have fun and a safe weekend!

April 27th, 2005
It has been quiet around Fort Perry because my Bro is in Germany on holiday for
10 days.  We just had a
freak Michigan snow storm and now things are going back
to Spring-Like.

Today I go to check music on "
The Patchwork Girl Of OZ" and then to another
studio to work on "
Movie Magic In Mescal" the Making of "MIRACLE AT SAGE
CREEK
".  I saw some footage from the film including a scene I had with Tim Abel
and Wes Studi... good stuff.  I have been cast in two more Talmarc Productions.
Westerns.  One is called "
The Hard Ride" (2005) it surrounds the DeadWood story
and the other "
The Last Horseman" (2006), I think I'm playing a bad guy...cool:-)
Talmarc and owner Thadd Turner are on board for "Wild Michigan" and the
script is out to most of the talent now.  We have hit the
Hollywood Reporter and
have meetings underway to lock stuff up by July for a Fall shoot.

I was very busy last week reading 2 scripts a day.  I have more acting offers
abound then I ever have had at one time but I'm really trying to make some
strong choices.  I'm holding off on my ticket to VA for the
JUDGES premiere as I
try to lock down another film there.

We got a payout on
KNIGHT CHILLS and FROM VENUS for Ireland/UK and so
the investors will be happy.  I'm expecting many more sales over the next few
months.
FIGURE IN THE FOREST and HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS are with
Needle & Associates.  He is very happy with the films and is working on our
domestic distributor now.
JUDGES and AN ORDINARY KILLER are due an
answer by weeks end at one major studio.  We have three others that will get a
look at it.  A new producer friend is working on the sales with me and because of
his past work, this is going much easier.  I hope to have some exciting breaking
news about all that.  I also know that the follow-up "
An Organized Offender"
treatment is about done.

I've sent over a batch of photos for Pepper's FRIENDS section.  I made so many
new friends on "
MIRACLE AT SAGE CREEK" and I hope to work with a few of
them again.  With the other westerns coming together, it seems I will.

Well... that is the update for now.  "
Beyond Ordinary" is selling quite well and so
if you want a copy... go ahead and get yours.

Best to all,

DJ
May 1st, 2005
The first of May and all is good.  I'm sitting here at Fort Perry getting ready for
our 1st outdoor soccer game.  The Men's league goes through October and we
have a stronger team this year.  We had a practice game last Wednesday against
"defending champions" and
WON 4-3 in a straight up battle.  That gives us some
good mojo going into playing the 2nd best team for our 1st game.  Soccer
Hooligans unite as Sunday will be the battle and then the spirits will be flowing.
My brother is still in Germany "
doing his thing" and I hope he is having some fun.

Trying to lock down my June movie schedule so I can plan my trip to Virginia for
the
JUDGES premiere.  I had an offer playing a heavy in a political satire film.
I'm up for a lead in a Civil War picture about "Pickett's Charge" and lastly that
children's film as a witch hunter.  I will work hard to lock down a set schedule this
week.  I have 21 projects that I'm in talks over and I need to get that down to
maybe a half dozen.  I will probably work as much as I can this year because when
the getting is good the good get getting'... or something like that.  Like I said I
just came off reading about 14 scripts in 7 days.

Finishing the last 20 pages on another action comedy script that I'm being paid to
write.  We (the other writers) decided to pass on the script buy that was made to us
on
THE UNKNOWN, a creature feature.  I'm trying to land the next writing deal.
MONEY SHOT that was optioned by Lighthouse Pictures in L.A. is doing another
round of rewrites.  Hmmm... that is all on the writing front.

Today and tomorrow we start tearing into the editing on "
Movie Magic In
Mescal"... the making of "
MIRACLE AT SAGE CREEK"  I got to see some
footage from the film that was sent on DVD and... it looks darn good.  I even got
to see part of a scene I had with
Tim Abell and Wes Studi.

All our projects that are completed are at play somewhere and so we are just
waiting on word of a sale or additional sales.  We will continue to develop and
prep for the next features.  Enjoy the new friends pictures as they come in.
I'll  try
to keep PEPPER supplied with new material.

Best,

DJ
May 14th, 2005
Just got back from the wedding for our COO, Dean West.  It was a nice ceremony
and after party.  Spent most of last week editing on the making of "
MIRACLE AT
SAGE CREEK
".  It is coming along great.  I see that Pepper has a new page up for
the "
JUSTICE FOR ALL" premiere that took place in Virginia while I was in
Arizona shooting.  See
http://www.djperryfanclub.com/JFAP.html

Also we made a deal for our script sale to the production company in N.C. and
that will shoot later this year.  We also signed a deal on the novelization of the
screenplay "
WILD MICHIGAN".  If all goes as planned, we shoot that this Fall.
We have more name actors that are joining the cast and that should make for an
exciting film.  Almost done with the screenplay that I've been being paid to write
on and I've also been shopping two other treatments for 2006 features.

I will head to Virginia for the premiere of "
JUDGES" and that should be a blast.
We will also do some location scouting for a feature planned in 2006.  I've got a
film offer for June but I have to work with scheduling.  I've been approached
about starring in a pilot TV show that would be set up at a US cable network.  I
cannot talk about it yet but they liked my reel and I had a good talk with the
director/producer.  It is a funny series that is part "
Trailer Park Boys" (One of my
favorite Canadian TV series) with a little "
Dukes Of Hazzard" mixed in.  The show
is funny!

Got word that "
CROSSING THE KING'S HIGHWAY" is a go.  Money is
supposed to hit the bank next week and from there the script will undergo another
rewrite.  It will get listed in the Hollywood Reporter here soon.  We will be
location scouting and casting for the film that should shoot in end of July - 1st of
August.

Following that I have my dark comedy/drama that shoots in Canada.  They have
asked me if I would consider going from the 2nd billed character to the 1st.  I will
reread the script and see if I dig the character.

Immediately after that we would be shooting "
WILD MICHIGAN" if we stay on
target.  I've also got another western offer and a short drama that I really liked.  It
will be a busy year but I love the work.  I'll use some of the money to do a few
repairs and upgrades around Fort Perry.  I'm still no handyman and being a
homeowner is a constant challenge.  It took 3 trips to ACE Hardware and
practically all day to fix a stripped knob.

Tomorrow our soccer team is back in action and coming off a win against the #2
team has us cautious but optimistic about our game tomorrow.

I was checking some IMDB updates for the making of "
MIRACLE AT SAGE
CREEK
" and DAMN!  There is a small verbal war on the message boards.  For the
record, I don't post on there.  Last time might have been in 2001 for
FROM
VENUS
.  I must have really pissed in someone's coffee.  They attack my movies,
sexuality and anything else they can attack.  I guess that is their hobby?  I would
say don't encourage them, this is to
friends/fans that post responses.  I agree that
some of the early films were not classics but the new films are getting better and
better and getting me much more work.  I prefer to just say nothing and do my
thing.  Even if I ever do get to the studio level they will still be bitchin' about
something.  Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things and all that
chatter is just really marketing.

We've been collecting monies on "
Beyond Ordinary" and I've had some great
email about individuals really enjoying it.  I should have more distribution info at
weeks end or the following week.  A few of our films are at the Canne Film
Market, which continues for another week.  I will be looking forward to knowing
what new territories we will be selling to.

Take care,

DJ
May 17th, 2005
I'm sipping the java juice and trying to wake up here.  Got a call at 12:30pm from
a buddy who's family owns one of the big theater chains and he said, "In 10
minutes we are going to preview the new '
Star Wars' for the upcoming release."
So I got dressed and my bro and I went down to a private screening with about 7
people.  All I can say that it has ended.  The years of all the hype, the waiting, and
the wondering are over.  It will never be the "
Star Wars" of 1977 or "Empire" and
it even makes you long for
Ewoks and the goofy old music at "Return Of The
Jedi
's" conclusion.  The movie finished the story and my brother and I talked
about the few shinning moments in a movie full of chaos.  I've had people
hammer some of my films and I suspect it feels the same even if you spent $100
million dollars on it.  There was too much action and a few cameo moments that
send you back to 1977 but overall the actors just can't recapture the "
chemistry"
that the original cast had.  I can see how important that is and for us it makes a
difference when you can actually pay for talent.  But look here: millions to spend
and still the talent suffers but I think they all really tried.  Working against a
green/blue screen and sometimes to nothing but a stick with a face on it would be
hard.  I remember the first struggles trying to act in "
IN THE WOODS" against a
rubber-suited monster.  it felt like I was on the "
Muppet Show".  Natalie Portman
really turned on the acting juice and
Hayden really buffed up to sell himself as a
swashbuckler and just to have had the experience is a feat in itself.  I also saw
"
Kingdom Of Heaven" and while George Lucas might have been a god to me when
I was 7 as an adult I would love to work with/for
Ridley Scott.  Mark Rolston on
"
MIRACLE AT SAGE CREEK", got to on "Aliens" and really enjoyed the
experience.

This week I will get my plane ticket to Virginia and I'm looking forward to seeing
the "
JUDGES" group.  We are still waiting to hear on the 1st studio that got a
sneak peek at it.  Still wanting to wrap up "
AN ORDINARY KILLER" but every
time we come close to closing the deal and other offer presents itself.  2006 is the
year of the
CSI type movies starting with "Mindhunters" that they brought off the
shelf so we still have some time.

I think I almost have my movie schedule locked down for the year.  It has been a
process and that is a good thing to have that many options.  Looks like this will
be the schedule should it all go smoothly.

June:
Heavy in a featured drama
Late June/July: 1st TV pilot for US TV
August: Biblical drama
Late August-Spetember: Black comedy/drama
Late September-October: Family Western
October-November: Horror Film

Sounds like a heavy year.  From there I think it is Christmas in Vegas and then
somewhere tropical.  2006 plans have already begun as well and so the storytelling
continues.

Best to all,

DJ
May 21st, 2005
First off I hope that Pepper is feeling better.  A little bird said she was under the
weather.  I'm sitting at the kitchen table on this fine Saturday morning, sipping
some coffee and watching cartoons.  Actually not watching intently but it is better
then the infomercials that are on the other channels.  With projects like "The
Patchwork Girl Of OZ" I try to keep a hand on the pulse of child programming.

I got major inspiration yesterday morning and got up at 7am and started writing
on "Secondary Heroes" the script I'm being paid to write on and I'm proud to
announce the 1st draft is DONE!  I really enjoyed bringing it home and I will do a
complete read through today.  We plan to film it in Virginia.

Speaking of, it took me an hour yesterday to mess with getting my former Hawaii
ticket transferred over to Norfolk.  Finally after three people a guy named "Eric"
wrapped in up in a matter of minutes.  So, my dates are locked to go to VA and
I'm excited.  I have some cool meetings set up and I'll see Terry Jernigan and the
whole JUDGES'S gang.  Kevin Hershberger and I might try to meet up as well.  I
saw some footage from our NO RETREAT FROM DESTINY and it looks really
good!  I'm starting to get some pre-interest for distribution.

We are looking forward to our next report and check on "Wicked Spring" from
ARDUSTRY.  My producer buddy at Canne Film Market said they were really
pushing "Wicked Spring" hard.  They want "Wild Michigan" but we will see
where that ends up.  Also I'm told there is a TV syndication deal for a 4-week test
on "Wicked Spring" and I will post more info on that.

"In The Woods" and "Knight Chills" both sold in Italy and along with "From
Venus" is being considered in several more territories.

Still waiting on the domestic company to make a decision on "Heaven's
Neighbors" and "Figure In the Forest".

Indie-vision is opening up wider distribution including its online site.  I did
writing for its MONSTER CHANNEL and I think I'll be writing the HOST spots
as well as hosting a few of them.  This is a cool project to be a part of.

I downloaded a hardcopy of my script for the TV pilot and have started "learnin'
dem lines!"  I love the concept and I've seen the materials on one of my Co-Stars
and they are trying to decide on the 3rd actor.  I expect a contract next week but
it all seems on target so I'm starting my work.

Also starting to consider crew and cast members on "Crossing The King's
Highway" and Ray (Producer) is off to LA here to cross T's and dot I's.

My producer/sales rep for "An Ordinary Killer" and "Judges" is back from
vacation and if the one studio passes he is set to go make the rounds in L.A. next
week.

Soccer this Sunday against last years champs and they have been destroying their
opponents so we'll have to play our A-game to even have a chance.

That is the updates for now.  I hope everyone enjoys his or her weekend!

DJ
May 27th, 2005
It is Friday and we have a long weekend ahead of us.  I'm working on my first
cup of Joe while enjoying the beautiful sun through the window of Fort Perry.  It
has been an interesting week for sure.  We have some big deals looming and with
anticipation comes the opportunity for disappointment.  I had several talks with a
few of my "generals" and they are just that, about some of the deals in motion.  I
think a few of the quotes really illustrate what the tribal CDI mindset and the real
extended family of filmmakers and companies that CDI embraces and works with.

On dealing with disappointment:

There is no choice.  Either you fight or you quit.  It is because of the latter that
we have gone well beyond everyone else.  I have no plan B that involves surrender.

On dealing with the stresses:

...we must enjoy the journey of it all and not ride the roller-coaster of up's and
down's or else the stress will destroy you physically and emotionally.

On spending personal money on the journey:

Financially I could easy blow my money on stuff that doesn't build towards a
dream.

On distribution & slow returns:

I think our distribution channels are widening and we can show progress forward.
We can explain faults in previous business models.  I would bet that these
investors did not get where they are by doing everything perfect the first few times
around.

On working selflessly together:

Sometimes the key to the doors we need opened might lie in the lap of others.  To
work as individuals is what hinders us and is against the collective ideal.

On selling multiple films at once:

The project stands on its own merit.  It is a supply and demand basic.  If their
audience demands a genre, artist and they can supply it they buy it.  A buy from
a company will get another future project looked at... Everyone benefits from a
sale.

On being thankful:

Positive thinking is needed.  We are doers and we are not waiting by a phone.  We
have allies and we have options and we have one another.  We are much more
blessed then many in this business and we should never forget that.  Many dream
still of that 1st acting role and making thier 1st movie.  I was once there and so
were all of you.  So... let us look at what we have done, what we are doing and
what could happen and not the dark side of things.  Negativity is not good and
adversity is just a part of life.

These are just little bits of info that maybe someone can use.  These are the
pre-order sites for "
KNIGHT CHILLS" and "FROM VENUS" and I think you
can watch the "
FROM VENUS" trailer on here.

I got approached about needing a reel and a read for a Vampire flick in Miami
with
Ed Furlong starring.  Could be a cool bit if my schedule works.  We are
getting contracts in order for the TV pilot and
Ray is in L.A. locking up
paperwork on "
CROSSING THE KING'S HIGHWAY".  Talked with Dave Isern
and I got him hired to do the pick up on "
G.P.S." in Seattle and so that is going
great.  I leave next week for Norfolk, VA for the "
JUDGES" premiere.  I'm
starting to really study some lines as these projects start and dates creep in.  I
have a noon lunch meeting over "
WILD MICHIGAN" financing which is looking
good.
Rance Howard (Ron's father) called in yesterday and a script went to Clint
Howard
.  Talked with Terence Knox yesterday as well and he is ready to go.
"
WILD MICHIGAN" will be a great shoot if all the elements come together.

More news looms but until it passes into fact then we will leave it alone.  I hope
everyone has a great weekend and be thankful for those that serve and protect!

I'm packing and getting ready to leave for VA tomorrow.  This is a change from
my morning deal but I may be too busy tomorrow morning.  I'm looking forward
to seeing many old friends again.  I will be giving updates as I'm there.

The Civil War film
WICKED SPRING, is starting to air in syndication around the
country.  I found it here in Chattanooga WB, WFLI playing it on
Saturday,
6/18/05 at 3:00 pm
(See below).

Maybe Pepper can search and find some other dates, places and times.

Jumping back to
JUDGES, the movie is getting some play on the major movie
site called
Ain't It Cool News!  Gunn Shots! (See below).

http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=20306

Note: The release is near the bottom of the page on Ain't It Cool News!

Fear Maker Studios sent over the paperwork attaching me as an Associate
Producer on the script called
UNKNOWN, a creature feature I penned with Lynn
& Lisa Drzick
as well as author Nancy Gideon.  It is slated for production in Fall
2005 and I may Co-Star in it if schedule allows.  A good ole fashion monster
movie could be fun.

Waiting to hear back on the Valverde project.  He has my reel and meets with the
director tomorrow.  It would be cool to work with him again.

I also got another call tonight from a producer friend in L.A. about a couple of
projects.  I also started getting location photos from another project I'm to shoot
later in the year.  I've been breaking down the script and I think it is a great
character study.

Next stop... VIRGINIA!

Morning and no coffee!  The flight was great other than a delay on the runway in
the Windy City... they closed down to 2 runways and so I was about 45 minutes
late getting into Norfolk.  Saw
Sean, who plays "Iron Joe Parelli" in JUDGES at
the airport.  He works security and at first we did a double take.  We both look
different from when we shot
JUDGES.  Good ole' Terry Jernigan was in a pub
putting down some Sam Adams and damn if he didn't have a gin and tonic
waiting.  He just got back from visiting a girlfriend of his in Bulgaria.  Once back
at the
Tiki Bar in his house, we had to sample all these Bulgarian moonshine
mixtures.  We laughed, talked and caught up while drinking these potent brews.
We then headed out on the strip to get food and more drinks.  I was slightly
intoxicated at nights end and woke up with a killer headache.  Have not had one
of those in a while.  My brother and I played in a scrimmage game before I left so
I hope I won't be too rusty.  My return flight on the 12th gets in at 3:20 and my
game is at 4:00.  Crazy!  Had lunch over at my dad's house and saw Anna (my
dog) then mamma picked me up in the morning from Fort Perry and I flew out of
Lansing so it was really chilly.

It is raining this morning and TJ has taken off somewhere.  I
NEED some coffee
soon.  We have to clean this place before the rest of the gang starts arriving and
we are having an after party on Sunday.

Heard back from another film maker doing a short and wants me as a lead for
3-4 days in July or August so I think we'll come to terms on that.  Good little
script.

Might head out with an actress friend, who will miss the premiere and Terry, for a
bite to eat.  Seafood sounds great.  They have a cool buffet style place that serves
it up good, so maybee we'll hit there.

Making of "
MIRACKE AT SAGE CREEK" is finishing up great.  Tony is putting
some credits together and it is going to play at a Tombstone event in... well...
TOMBSTONE!

Until the next update!

It is another night entry after a long day and only 3 plus hours sleep.  We had the
JUDGES premiere last night and I think it went wonderful.  There was such a
diverse crowd by age, ethnic, gender and I think they all really enjoyed the film.
It looked good projected on the big screen and sounded great.
Trisha was there
on Pepper's behalf reviewing the film and speaking with cast and crew.  I'm sure
you will get a complete run down from her soon.

It was good to see
John Regan, the director of THE FLOCK.  He came to the
premiere and hung out afterwards.  It was just great catching up with everyone
and I think the film might have some legs.

Crazy times as we tried all this wacky food and booze that Terry got when visiting
his girlfriend from Bulgaria
.  We've met all kinds of great people here in VA but
that is no surprise.  The "
Blackbeard Festival" was fun with pirate food, goods,
boats, music, women (wenches) in push up tops, etc...

Reviewing contracts on the upcoming projects and so I will continue to prep on
those scripts.  I'm going to see a rough cut of our
Lionheart Filmworks movie NO
RETREAT FROM DESTINY
in the morning and see Kevin Hershberger.  More
soon!

Good Updates:  First, "WICKED SPRING" is playing ALL over.  It played
Channel 4 in Virginia the other day.

played elsewhere and here are a few links:

If it is playing in your area send to Pepper and maybe she can make a page of
when and where you can see "
WICKED SPRING".  We also were informed that it
will go to sell through 4th quarter of the year with a special edition most likely
including the "Making Of" and maybe soundtrack.

If you want to see a few pictures from the
JUDGES premiere, you can see that at:

Got an offer to do an "opener" in a horror film by a fast growing director in that
genre
Jeff Burton.  I will take a look at the script but it could be fun.

We have been doing some reading on "
Secondary Heroes" and we'll see what
develops.

Also on the horror tip I have a few of those in the works.  GPS should have
completed our pick ups and we will shop that this Fall.  I'm attaching as a
producer on 2 horror films and may act if schedule allows.

Found out that
JUSTICE FOR ALL just got accepted at New York (LA)
International Independent Film & Video Festivals
.  It is a great festival and I'm
excited for Roger.  The rumor is that a feature film might try to launch off the
short.  We'll see...

Ray called and gave a positive update on "CROSSING THE KING'S HIGHWAY"
but still don't know when all that will go down.

As I said before I had a great meeting with
Kevin Hershberger over Lionheart's
follow up Civil War feature "
NO RETREAT FROM DESTINY" that will give fans
another dose of
Terry Jernigan and Brian Merrick.  As for what is next... all I can
say is...  World War 2!

More later,

I'm back home at Fort Perry drinking hazelnut coffee and taking a break from
unpacking to write ya'll.  I stepped off the plane at 3:20 and we had a 4:00 soccer
game.  We made it in time and
we won 9-1.  We kicked thier assJ.

Many good career happenings at hand.  First, the TV play on
WICKED SPRING
keeps growing.  It played on NBC in Indiana in addition to all the other showing.
I've had three people report on seeing it televised.  I don't know if it is playing in
Michigan but they should.  I'm proud of that film for what it is and so I'm
extremely happy that it is getting the larger exposure.  I think it will do well when
the special edition hits to sell through stores like Wal-Mart 4th Quarter.

I will use my time back here to set up for late July and August.  I have my
contract for the comedic TV pilot and should have a plane ticket by weeks end.
It is a comedy about stockcar racing.  I play the driver and I have my bumbling
mechanic and crew.  It is in the vein of
RENO 911 and TRAILER PARK BOYS.
I'll keep everyone posted on this project.  I'm getting a hair cut this week for the
role. (My hair is down the middle of my back)  Also looking for just that right
cap.

I have a letter of intent coming on another acting role that I think will be the late
July movie.  It is only two days in Texas playing a father in a
Harry Potter like
children's film.  Once I can say more on it, I will.  This came on the same day that
I did not get the Vampire film in Miami.  Win some and lose some.  Actually I
am looking forward to a little family film fare after all the other horror and
rugged stuff.  I still have a role as a heavy pending and I'm going to help pull
together a horror film in L.A.  The
UNKNOWN option payment came in and they
hope to shoot this fall so that should be great fun.  I'm going to try and get out
there and maybe act in it if everything works out.  I'm still pushing with everyone
else on locking up
WILD MICHIGAN for the fall.  Come August I'll know if a
green light is a go for a dark drama that I really like.

I've sent the
RIZZO PRODUCTIONS press release on the JUDGES comic books
online.  Cool stuff!  I think people will really dig the movie and the follow up
should be even better.

Today and tomorrow we are wrapping up the Making Of
MIRACLE AT SAGE
CREEK
.  We will have our Monday meeting tonight to get everyone back on
track.  That is all for now!

It is a nice day in Michigan and I'm having a good day.  My dad and his wife,
Dawn, are in the Virgin Islands so I have been taking care of the dog while they
are away.  The coffee is Hazelnut and I'm again trying to update you on what is
going on.

This is an official announcement on the comedic TV pilot "
Off Track" where I
play
Darrel "The Wrecking Ball" Baldwin.  The entire show is based around stock
car racing and I play the driver.  The writing is great and we'll see if people find it
funny.  I got my contract, my airline ticket and so I'm ready to rock and roll.  I
even got my hair cut for the show.  It was down to the middle of my back and
now it is just above the shoulders.

I have three other movies that are just about locked and once they are... then I
will announce them here.  I have to say I feel really blessed and I will continue to
just work hard.

The "
Movie Magic In Mescal, The Making of Miracle At Sage Creek" is DONE!
Tony Hornus (Co-Director - "AN ORDINARY KILLER") directed it and I think
people will dig the 85 minute piece.  The show will play at a 4th of July showing
in
Tombstone, Arizona.  That poster should be going up on my fan site.
I also sent Pepper the poster to the creature feature I helped pen and I'm
producing on.  It was called "
The Unkown" and is now re-titled "Savage".  Fear
Makers Studios
is the production company behind it.  It will be really cool to see
that come to life.

Lastly, a 1st
JUDGES poster is now out.
Lionheart Filmworks has a new website launching
http://www.lionheart-filmworks.com
NO RETREAT rough cut is playing in Gettysburg Fourth of July weekend.

I should have even more updates this week... so until then!

It is HOT, real darn HOT in Michigan!  Read back a few months and I was
probably complaining about COLD, real darn COLD!  I am a fall type person
with October being my favorite month.  If you saw the site here then you know I
had me a birthday.  Actually it was all good and I'm ready to keep on truckin'!

I got out the trusty old suitcases because I have another journey ahead.  Next
stop... Ottawa, Canada!  I've been getting ready to go shoot the TV pilot for "
Off
Track
" and I'm excited.  Day one will be at the racetrack shooting the scene with
the HOOTERS girls.  One word:  COOL.  I love HOOTERS!  They have great
taste to their hot wings!

WICKED SPRING played on TV here in Michigan the last couple weeks and plays
in my hometown this Sunday on Fox 47 at 2:30 in the afternoon.  That should be
interesting to say the least.  I get more press outside of Lansing and so I get to be
pretty chill in my hometown.  I'm also not out on the scene too much.  I prefer
my porch and a bottle of red wine.

They had a big meeting over
JUDGES today in Hollywood and we should have
news one way or another by Friday.  The executives all liked the film but it was up
to the big honchos now.

Found out that two other films in Hollywood got financing that I'm cast in.  Both
are through a producer friend who is doing the movies for
Usher and other music
stars.  I play the token "Good Ole Boy" in an urban comedy called
SWAP MEET
and then a white R&B record executive in a drama working title
WHO STOLE
THE SOUL
.  It will be a few days on each one but they are studio pictures and
will be a blast to work on.

The "
Movie Magic at Mescal" (Making Of Miracle At Sage Creek) will play a
festival in Tombstone this weekend.  We had a few good meetings over
WILD
MICHIGAN
and I think that might fall into place.

Pushed that small opening role in that horror picture until I return.  I needed to
get things in line for "
Off Track" first.  Also playing with schedules on a few other
films that I'm acting, producing or both on.

Read an awesome superhero script that I was asked to be part of.  Cool stuff!  I'm
working with that company in Texas for a few days on a children's adventure film
that was adapted from a comic book.  Very Harry Potter like but centered on
girls.

Ray and
CROSSING THE KING'S HIGHWAY is moving up into early September
timeframe.  Looks like actor/producer/writer
Jeff Monahan may be coming on
board the cast.  I've talked with Jeff several times about several projects.  It will
be nice to meet him in person and work with him.

There should be another leading lady going up on the site.  The talented and
beautiful
Kera O'Bryon, check her out and what she had to say about working
with a knucklehead like myself.

Stay cool!  Best to all and have a safe 4th of July weekend!
