Today all too soon

Only to become the
creations of tomorrow...

October 1st, 2005
I just got home unpacked and I'm trying to get a few things straightened.  I leave next week
to L.A. to (fingers crossed) wrap up the final deal on "
AN ORDINARY KILLER" and also
we are close to deal on "
JUDGES" the movie.  I'm traveling with Tony Hornus and we are
meeting with our co-production partner on "
WILD MICHIGAN" Talmarc Productions.
We are going to hobnob at a
Western Film Festival to promote "MIRACLE AT SAGE
CREEK
", "WILD MICHIGAN" and "THE HARD RIDE".  The week after that COO Dean
West
will join Tony in New Mexico for some final scouting and to get some final paperwork
in place.

Also the short western "
JUSTICE FOR ALL" played in L.A. at a film festival last week and
all went well there.  Just finished music on "
THE PATCHWORK GIRL of OZ" and I'm
starting some shopping there.  Met with
Kevin Hershberger in VA and we made some plans
on our Lionheart slate.  The new site can be seen at
www.lionheart-filmworks.com We had
a great premiere for "
NO RETREAT" and I will also start some early shopping with that
film as well!

We will know if "
CROSSING THE KING'S HIGHWAY" FINALLY gets the full greenlight
on October 1st and that would put me shooting in November for a week.  Also have one day
on a comedy in L.A. with
Eddie Griffin and Eugene Levy in late October or November...

G.P.S. is almost completed and will be at the AFM in November.  I have a day of sound
looping so I have to decide if they want to send it here or fly me there.  That trailer is up at
www.gpsthemovie.com

All is going great and I'm happy and refreshed and ready for ACTION!!!

More updates to come!

A back to back adventure!  To red more first hand accounts of the adbenture in Costa Rica
via the Supermodel Showdown see Big Cat Entertainment Group and Supermodel
Showdown there are many new updates!

As for VA and "
THE 8th PLAGUE" I can honestly say that it is a massively intense film.  I
have to admit to the horror fans out there that some of my past work has been a bit tame
but that stuff went out the window with this film.  Any real gore fans will be in heaven with
this film.  I can now say that with this film I've been covered in more blod and real animal
parts then in any other movie OR all my other movies combined.  Sorry
Mike Kallio, you
held that record with
SURVIVE up to now.  The case and crew were great to work with and
I will provide many picture for a page here very soon.  In the meantime check out
www.the8thplague.com and a trailer should be up here soon.
The first day of October and many are out here in Michigan with bow in hand to put meat
on the table.  Everyone here braces for the football clash as my college
MSU takes on the
powerful
UofM.  I sit here at Fort Perry drinking some Costa Rican coffee and reflecting.  I
stayed home last night on a Friday and looked back upon my last five weeks.  Awesome and
yet it feels so good to be home and sleeping in my own bed.  I've been getting the lawn in
shape for the winter.  My garden harvest seems sparse save a large Summer squash, a few
green tomatoes, 4 green beans and a few undersized mellons.  My farmer skills are lacking.
On the other hand my
axe swinging abilities have gotten stronger.  Funny I did the "WILD
MICHIGAN" promo picture with the axe that everyone seems to like. (Good job
Michael
Jordan
)  Now with "THE 8th PLAGUE" my character Mason continues a long tradition of
axe carriers and I hope I set a new standard.  The intensity is there for sure.  I may ramble
here but it feels good to unload.  I've had all kinds of culture shock.  From deep rainforest,
to a circus movie set, back to a quiet fall at Fort Perry and off to Hollywood next week.
CRAZY!

A new website is up for "
THE 8th PLAGUE" and I think some great stuff will go up there.
I miss all my newfound friends there.  That prison really did have its share of haunts and
demons.  It reminded me of shooting "
FROM VENUS" another film that was shot in a
haunted location.  "
FROM VENUS" may be for sale at the month's end well will see.  I also
hope to have "
FIGURE IN THE FOREST" and "HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS" for sale as
well.  Three of CDI's early films and I hope people will enjoy them all on some level.
Upcoming January 2006 will have a new release of "
KNIGHT CHILLS" and "IN THE
WOODS
" in February 2006.

I also have the honor of bing the October Scary Stud of the Month at:
http://www.pretty-scary.net/index.php and so thank you Heidi for that great honor.  I love
your website and I hope it continues to grow and thrive!

I miss all the girls from the Supermodel Showdown
Nass, Jessica, Jessica, Abby, Katie,
Melanie, Rebecca, Claudia and Nadia my host
.  Great job by all the girls and my amazing
crew
G, Maria, Matt, Amy and Karen.  My right hand man Nikoli and Big Cat Joe for such
an amazing opportunity!
Dan, Walter and all the friends I met there.  The source material
is being backed up to hard drives and I can't wait to get into editing.

I hope to close a deal on "
AN ORDINARY KILLER" by end of next week and "JUDGES"
with a little luck could close its deal as well.

More later!

Mason stalks prey or... is he being stalked?
September 15th, 2005
I've just awoken from a major power nap on my day off.  Scrambled images flew through
my head and now I sit with a cup of reheated coffee stringing thoughts toghether.  The
jetlag has me feeling like I've been gone for six months.  Just got a phone call from my
cousin Jerry, my mom, buddy Ben D. and a few others and that was great.  I truly feel like
a gypsy at times being gone so much but it has provided me with some great experiences.
I'm taking the wonderful journey to Costa Rica to heart.  The beauty is shown below...
Photo provided by Big Cat Entertainment Group
The first few days in Costa Rica were very disorientating.  The mind slowly calmed to a
place and pace that lacks the sounds of traffic.  The mind at rest finds freedom from cell
phone calls and the constant curiosity of emails and the pending deal.  Even now as I step
back into the business world of technology it feels odd to the sould and agains the grain to
some extent.  In the jungle I
DELETED a lot of clutter from my mind.  I'm protecting my
inner peace from such
SPAM like junk that seek to clutter the self.  Like the computer
terms I'm using?  I feel like I can cope much better with things after that trip.  The
"
SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN" has taught me many new lessons and I think this applied
will take everything in my life to the next level.  The show itself will be an incredible
journey and it marks my first directorial debut.  I can't wait to share a piece of that
paradise to everyone out there.  Watch www.supermodelshowdown.com for updates.  We
will be linking with them and all the ladies on the show very soon!

A FIRST SNEAK PEEK AT - "THE 8th PLAGUE"
DJ Perry is "Mason" a mysterious man with a dark, shadowy past who sets off to
help a distraught woman (Leslie Valenza) search for her missing sister.  The trail
leads them to an abandoned prison where they discover that not EVERYTHING has
abandoned the prison.

Deals are being made on both "JUDGES" and "AN ORDINARY KILLER" and we should
have release dates and perhaps even cities where they might be seen.

Remember that "
JUSTICE FOR ALL" plays on September 23rd, 2005 at 10pm in L.A.  You
can follow the link on here to get more exact information.  I'm looking at a few projects to
finish the year out but I'm also looking forward to going back to Fort Perry for some rest.  I
love the fall and I want to see how my few meager plants are doing.  Friends and family
await but for now I am working with all these artists creating something thrilling.

DJ
We are now back in L.A. and we have had an interesting time back here.  It looks like we
have locked in our distribution on our "
AN ORDINARY KILLER" movie.  It will be
heading to the
AFM (American Film Market) with American World Pictures.  They had the
BTK killer story on CBS last night and it is in the same vein so I think we have something
really good.  AWP is also the distributor for "
MIRACLE AT SAGE CREEK" that we shot
in March.
Anthony Hornus and I both had small parts and also I produced and Tony
directed the behind the scenes material for the DVD.  We watched the movie and I have to
say that I was really moved by it.  It is a good movie and I think it will play on TV around
Christmas this year.

We are close to locking all our pieces on "
WILD MICHIGAN" and "THE HARD RIDE",
our two westerns with
Talmarc Productions.  Casting and distribution pieces are being
locked in and we have meetings in New Mexico next week.  I have been offered a role in
"
THE HARD RIDE" as Jack McCall, the man who killed "Wild Bill".

We all went to a cook out at
Tim Abell's house up in the hills.  It was a lot of fun with food,
wine and a little tequila.  That eventually led to me and "
Soldier of God" Tim sword
fighting with real swords in the family room!  I LOVED IT!  Tim is a great guy and I think
that his movie which is now playing festivals world-wide will be awesome!  See a picture of
us below goofing around.
Being silly at Tim's cookout!
I have to fly tomorrow to Seattle, Washington to do
my final looping on "GPS" the thriller.  They are
taking it to the AFM and from what I've seen I think it
is going to do very well.  Also talked with Mark Owen
and next week they should have the final locked edit
on the "OFF TRACK" pilot.  I can't wait to see it.

I would have had this out sooner but I'm typing it on
my laptop and I'm using Dave's email to do business.
He has cable modem not wireless.  We are going to get
together tonight with Cindi Rice and Bethany Landing
producer friends of mine.  Cindi was formerly our
development person for C.D.I. before going to work
with Lighthouse Films.  I'm looking forward to
tonight meeting with some old friends.  Tomorrow I'm
off to Seattle!

More to come soon!

I'm sitting before the open window in a cabin here in
Lone Pine, California at the 16th Annual Lone Pine
Film Festival
.  We attended with the president of the
family film division of
Ferris Wheel Pictures, Craig
Kitchens
, our co-production partner for "WILD
MICHIGAN
" Thadd Turner, the "MIRACLE AT
SAGE CREEK
" lead Tim Abell and representing
Collective Development Inc./Lionheart Filmworks was
Dave Borowicz, Tony Hornus and I.
Funny trivia is that the cabin that Tony, Dave and I are in was built and stayed in by
Howard Hughes and so we shared the same walls in this unique "hunting cabin" type
dwelling as Mr. Hughes.  There is even an air strip out back which is no surprise.  I guess
at one time he and an investor planned to make Lone Pine into a Las Vegas but that did not
happen.  See the cabin photo below.
We also met screen legend John Saxon today and that was very cool.  I first saw John
Saxon in "
ENTER THE DRAGON" with Bruce Lee and then here we are talking with him
outside a booth that sells organic honey and other produce.  Who knows, maybe we will
work with him on something... HINT... HINT!  See the picture here of us all below.

More later!

I'm sitting at Fort Perry.  Coffee is within my reach.  I used up my Costa Rica blend and
now I'm on the VA coffee.  It feels wonderful to be back in Michigan at this wonderful
time.  I've had a few great fall gahterins with apple cider and spiced rum being the drink of
choice.  The Halloween parties start  this weekend and so maybe I will hit a few of those.
Everyone is excited about dressing up and I'm happy to not be in wardrobe.  The time off
and about was awesome but it feels wonderful to be home and see family and friends.  I
met a lot of new friends and saw old ones too.  Pepper I hear is revamping the site.  Look
for Leslie to appear on the Leading Ladies page.  Many new pictures will arrive and I have
a few good updates.

First, a deal has been made with
www.indieflix.com a company that I've been exploring for
a while.  See... if you want to make money on a movie you have to get paid on the gross not
the net.  Too much funny accounting goes on with the expenses against gross.  This
company will be releasing (3) of the CDI collection and I highly encourage all of you to add
it to your collection.  You can watch the evolution as filmmakers, actors, etc... and they will
be priced at $9.95 each.

FROM VENUS will be out by Halloween or shortly before.  FROM VENUS was a highly
ambitious movie that gives a nod and also spoofs the clich Sci-Fi/Horror bits we have seen
in our favorite movies.  Check out the
SUPERMAN style credits!  It was our first run in
digital with a Cannon XL-1 and the film also marks our 1st extensive use of CGI FX.
Production value runs from good to fair but it is truly entertaining if nothing else to see me
with a buzz cut playing an idiot character.  Maybe that role wasn't such a stretch:

HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS starring Aaron Jackson (NBC's California Dreams) and myself
is a great piece of drama that really is a solid piece especially after we trimmed it down.
The director's cut explores more of the doctor's lives and if the film sells well maybe we will
release the directors cut which is significantly longer.

FIGURE IN THE FOREST was CDI's foray into family films.  It is a LIFETIME type film
written by a woman (
Juanita Kennedy) and really directed towards a more adult audience
but also has a story that families could follow.  It was awarded the
DOVE FAMILY FILM
award and also enjoyed a shor run in  the IMAGINE Theater in Novi, Michigan.

So break down and spend $30 and add these three films to your collection.  Write in to
Pepper and tell us which films you liked and why.  Look at it this way.  They say you will
spend $48,000 over the course of a dog's life caring for it.  Buying all my movies over a
lifetime might equal a thousand dollars:  a bargain!

We are still mining for the right deal on
AN ORDINARY KILLER and GPS should be done
and off to
AFM.  I hope that it gets into SUNDANCE just to be able to go and experience it
all but I'm not holding my breath with thousands of films submitted.

We are going to also be selling a trial run of
THE PATCHWORK GIRL OF OZ sort of a test
group with a special edition.  Watch the link off the
CDI site... www.cdiproductions.com.
Also a new company site will be going up sometime in the near future for 2006.  The
company has matured and the new image will show that.

More updates soon!

It is chilly cold here in the Michigan lands and I have been drinking Virginia coffee over
the last few days and winterizing Fort Perry.  The storm windows are in and I've been
using the shrink wrap window stuff as well.  I made some good crock pot stew that we
finished up yesterday and I even have a few pumpkins.  One grew here in my feeble garden
but is severely deformed because it was hanging from a fence not on the ground.  I had to
deal with a car issue today and I've been just enjoying the fall moments.

BREAKING NEWS!  You can now BUY... "The PATCHWORK GIRL of OZ" DVD.
Click on the title to go to the page you can purchase it.

It is a trial run and I think that most will enjoy it.  The music by Dennis Therrian is
wonderful and so go ahead and buy it now.  By weeks end "FROM VENUS", "HEAVEN'S
NEIGHBORS", "FIGURE In The FOREST" should be for sale.  $9.95 so buy it!  They will
make great little Christmas presents as well!
www.indieflix.com NOTE: "FROM VENUS"
has a Halloween theme and would be fun for most to watch.  Picture below is Rebecca
Holden as the evil Avatrix.
There are many new editions to the website thanks to Pepper.  Check out the leading ladies.

Leslie, my wonderful co-star in "The 8th PLAGUE" is featured.  Up coming women will be
Hollis also from "The 8th PLAGUE" and Nadia my host from "Supermodel Showdown" as
well as several of the girls themselves.

I've been doing some writing and trying to get my end of the year affairs in order.  I have to
go shoot 2 days of pick ups for "
The 8th PLAGUE" in VA in November.  It will be fun to
see everone again.  I've been also reading up on Jack McCall for "
The HARD RIDE" and
also we have been working on a new polished draft of "
WILD MICHIGAN".  I will have
more updates soon!

Thank you,

DJ

I'm sipping the Virginia Java and typing away here.  Trying to let people know that "The
PATCHWORK GIRL of OZ
" movie is for sale and I'm told Monday (Halloween) will be the
release date for "
FROM VENUS", "HEAVEN'S NEIGHBORS" and "FIGURE in the
FOREST
" at www.indieflix.com

This came from JUDGES director Stephen Walker.  I sincerely appreciate all the people
across the U.S. that have called in and continue to call in.  It is a great movie to see on the
big screen and I hope that you will have that experience!

JUDGES is now being considered for limited theatrical distribution at Regal Cinemas.  A test for our
consideration is to see how many people want to see the film and this is measured by phone-in requests.

Here are the instructions on exactly how to request the Film:

Dial
1-865-922-1123 and ask the Regal operator to be connected to Customer Service.

When Customer Service answers you ask:

"I'd like to request and independent film be picked up by Regal and shown in my area."

Here are the questions and answers they will ask you:

What's the name of the film?  "
JUDGES"
Who is the distributor?  "
RIZZO PRODUCTIONS"
What area do you want this shown in?  Give "
YOUR CITY, STATE"
What is your name?  "
YOUR NAME"
What is your telephone number?  "
YOUR NUMBER"

They will then forward this on to the Film Buying Department at Regal.

Get as many people as possible to make this phone call in your area.  This will help our chances for limited
theatrical consideration.

Keep spreading the word,

Stephen Patrick Walker

ANOTHER COOL UPDATE

The 1st neak preview of the action/horror film "The 8th PLAGUE" can now be seen at

So turn off the lights, turn up your speakers and HOLD ON!  It is the most frightening
movie that I have ever been in to date...period!  I knew we were making something creepy
but DAMN!  Watch at your own risk.  Nightmares may find you.....bluhaaaaaaa (sad
attempt to write an evil laugh)

Take care!
