DJ attended Northwestern Elementary where, even at a young age, his favorite subject was English.

Next DJ went on to Otto Middle School where his favorite subject was still English.  While in middle school, he expanded his interests to include the sports, Soccer, Volleyball and Karate.

DJ went on to spend his teen years in Sexton High School.  He soon found a new scholastic interest in Anthropology/Archaeology but he continued to excell in English.  DJ also participated in Soccer as well as Karate.  His mentor in high school later became his business partner,
Jeff Kennedy.  DJ went on to graduate in June of 1988.

Once out of high school, DJ decided to attend Lansing Community College and later joined the campus of Michigan State University.  There he studied English - go figure - Theater and Communications.  Although he continued to participate in sports, his game changed to Hopkido and Judo.

After graduation from MSU in 1993, DJ went on to play and coach soccer and work as a instructor in martial arts.  Later, he went on to become a founding member and partner of
Lionheart Filmworks, LLC, a Tidewater, Virginia feature film development and production company.

The
first time that DJ was ever paid to be in front of a camera was a commercial for one of General Motors vehicles the, Chevy S-10.  The latest production is a movie called "TANGY GUACAMOLE" which was filmed entirely on location in Mexico.  "TANGY GUACAMOLE" is now available as of November 11, 2003.  DJ has quite a list of credits under his belt and going strong for more.  One of those productions is to be released on December 16, 2003, "WICKED SPRING".  Among the stunt cast of "WICKED SPRING", is his brother, Adam Perry

This last November 7th, I was lucky enough to attend the world premiere of "
AN ORDINARY KILLER", another of DJ's credits.  Along with DJ, there were a few veterns of the entertainment industry as well as a few newcomers.  The cast is, Terry Jernigan, Chris Nendick, Charles Matthau - yes the son of Walter Matthau, Dan "Grizzly" Haggerty, Terence Knox and lets not forget our own, DJ Perry...
